Went with a guy for the first time in Tunisia. And I say with confidence - go, you will not regret it! I deliberately sat down to write this review so that I can tell you the most recent impressions. Now I can definitely say that if you don’t like nightmarish heat, but want to relax comfortably and get a tan at the same time, fly to Tunisia in mid-May until the end of June. By the way, in secret, until June 30, hotels have a reduced rate, because. The season is not yet in full swing and there are not so many tourists. For some, this is even good. For example, there were a lot of foreigners in our hotel - mostly Germans, French, Italians, Czechs and Poles. Russians actively began to arrive by the end of May. The Marabout 3 * hotel is ideal in location - walking distance to the Medina (2 km), all the discos across the road (it's bad that they start working only at 24.00, admission is free), a little if you walk up from the hotel - a wonderful restaurant La Boule D'or - an excellent, delicious lunch for only 15 dinars, pizza costs 5-6 dinars, fresh - 1.5 dinars. To the right of the hotel, a stone's throw away are the recently opened Benneton stores (the Italians opened a factory in Tunisia, so clothes are a little cheaper), Motivi, Lacoste - everything is located in the Slim Center shopping center. If you walk 1.5 km to the right of the hotel, you will reach the Casa Del Gelato restaurant, which serves authentic Italian ice cream for every taste. This is a very pretentious place for the locals, but for us it is very cheap, but delicious ice cream! One ball 2 dinars.
The hotel has:
1. thalassotherapy and massage room (see prices in the photo), there is Tour Khalif nearby, there are very cool procedures for a few days, I highly recommend it if you want to improve your health. Take money separately for thalassotherapy, it's worth it.

2.2 bars, 2 restaurants (one of them by the sea for all inclusive),
1 hookah, dining room, cocktail bar next to the water park. The food at the hotel is simply amazing! Very varied, we ate our fill (just don’t bring food in bags with you, it’s indecent and not accepted, please! ): 2 types of soups, fish, chicken, beef, lamb, about 5 salads, about 5 types of side dishes, juices, teas, 5 types of desserts, fresh fruits, delicious pastries! We met the cook in Medina when he specially selected food for dinner for cooking. He is a cook from God, his name is Tahar. Say hello to him!
3. The rooms are modest but neat and well maintained. We immediately got a view of the pool and a piece of the sea, every day we left 1 dinar - they cleaned up well and on time. The room has a small bathroom, wardrobe, mirror, TV, balcony with a table. All extras services must be ordered separately at the reception. We didn't pay anything for the room upon arrival! Don't get your money ahead of time! When leaving, you can safely leave your suitcase at the reception, no one will take it. The safe is separate, but we didn’t take it, we hid it deep in the suitcase, no one stole it.
4. animation works during the day (3 funny guys), they invite you to water aerobics (I recommend), play tennis, ping-pong, volleyball. In the evening, either the guys themselves entertain the people (there is a separate terrace and stage), or they invite artists (we had a show of a fakir who walked on nails and other sharp objects, a show of transvestites (here, of course, we laughed))
5. Beach: the sea is very clean, algae and debris are constantly removed, a sunbed both on the beach and near the pool costs 2 dinars, locals go and offer watermelons, melons, sweets, you can buy ice cream or a pancake with chocolate filling near the pool in a cafe. Near the beach there is a shower and a tennis court. The beach closes at 20.00, you have to go around if you want an evening boat trip and romance.
Excursions:

we went to the Sahara for 2 days, spent the night in a good hotel. You will not get hungry, they constantly and on time stop and feed in a cafe along the way. On the trip you will visit: amphitheater, troglodyte caves, oases, camel ride, overnight at the hotel, sunrise on the salt marsh, jeep ride in the Sahara, visit to the town where Star Wars was filmed, botanical garden, visit to the city of Caioran, where the cheapest souvenirs are sold . The cost is 220 dinars per person. The guide is good.
Shopping:
Slin centre, Medina: EVERYTHING is there! Buy dates, hookah, spices, cereals there. Near the entrance to the Medina there is a shop with cosmetics. Buy black soap there, it is very good for problem skin + various clay masks, olive oil for hair. Of course, buy fruits only in Medina, they cost a penny there, and such delicious melons, watermelons, peaches, almonds!
Not far from the Medina there is a Generale supermarket, where you can find any food you like. We bought cactus jam and fig jam there.
Take a walk:
Port El Kantaou - a trip to it costs 4 dinars, bargain with a taxi driver, but do not go too far))) Very beautiful port, look at yachts, ships, boats. There is an amusement park nearby.
Opposite the park there is a beer restaurant (I don’t remember the name), they sing European music there, it’s very beautiful! Beer is the most normal here, it costs 5 dinars. You can sit with the company in the evening in a pleasant atmosphere. Night taxi fare is 2 times higher - 8 dinars to the house.
