Well, here we are from a magical land called Tunisia. I hasten to share my impressions while the memories are fresh:
We arrived local time at 15.45. We waited for the luggage at the airport of Monastir for a short time and, having met our guide, we went to the bus. The trip took about half an hour and now we were in Sousse at the door of the Movenpick Hotel. For the first time I saw a hotel, so striking in its grandeur and beauty... Delight knew no bounds! We were met by a Russian-speaking manager and offered to fill in guest cards, after which we were already in the room in 15 minutes. Our family consists of two adults and two children aged 6 years and 7 months, so they settled us in a room on the 7th floor overlooking the city and with a large terrace. There are such rules: families with children get a room not with a balcony, but with a terrace. Having changed, we immediately went to explore the situation: the sea struck with its purity and beauty. It was not very warm (October after all), but it was clean, transparent, turquoise. The sand on the beach was white and fine as flour. No cigarette butts or household rubbish - everything was spotless. The sunbeds in this hotel are very comfortable - soft. The staff on the beach gives out towels in any quantity. The hotel has three swimming pools - one for children, two jacuzzis and one indoor pool - it belongs to the spa center. There are a lot of sun loungers around the pools, the staff brings towels, but for drinks you had to go to the pool bar yourself, but it didn’t bother us.
Now about the hotel itself: I would say that Movenpick did not get its 5 stars in vain: food (buffet in the main restaurant and all kinds of snacks on the main terrace, in the lobby, in the lobby bar and one dinner in any of the a la carte restaurants) to choose from) very high quality, varied and tasty. Coffee, tea, drinks and alcohol are also unlimited. The rooms were cleaned every day with a change of linen as well. We left tips for the maid every day, so there were no problems with the quality of cleaning. The hotel staff is helpful, friendly, well-trained and tidy. All waiters, porters, maids, hostesses and managers know English at the level of simple communication, and that was enough for us. I didn’t notice any negative attitude towards the Russians - we smiled at everyone and smiled back at us)) Most of the vacationers were elderly Germans, but there were also many tourists from France, England and Russia. There were many children - especially babies. Tunisians generally idolize children - only the lazy did not touch our youngest on the cheek, and some even tried to kiss him. They are very attentive to both mothers and children. There is a mini club on site. He is simply beyond praise! ! My eldest son did not want to leave there - he liked it there so much. There is no entertainment program in the hotel and Thank God! ! This is a vacation for respectable tourists and discos there would be completely out of place.

Now about our emotions: we were in Tunisia for the first time - a peculiar country, we - Europeans do not understand much due to our mentality, therefore, personally, at first we had a shock from flying merchants, from not very clean streets, from the fact that no one was in a taxi buckled up and children can ride in the front seat. But then we got used to everything and got used to it pretty quickly. My husband and his eldest son visited a local transvestite show - it looks a bit like amateur performances, but for Tunisia it is quite a decent level. The whole family went to Port El Kantaoui: the child rode the carousels, and we looked at the "singing fountains" and snow-white yachts... It's very beautiful there! I advise you to take the time and be sure to visit this place.
In general, our vacation was a success! The weather did not let us down, we chose the right hotel, the city is lively and quite civilized. If fate wishes, we will definitely return there and only to Movenpick - this is really the best hotel in Sousse. We didn't regret it and you won't regret it!
