The Tej Marhaba hotel was advised to us by a travel agency as relatively inexpensive and comfortable. Reviews about him were very different, including very bad ones, but we liked the photos given on the Internet and we decided to take a chance. And yes, it has a good name. Tej in Arabic is "crown", and Marhaba is a chain of hotels, translated as "Hello! "
We arrived at 2 am (the plane was 4 hours late), we were settled immediately without any additional payments. We were given a standard room with a large balcony. True, he went out onto the city street, but at night there was no particular noise.
The hotel area is large, there is a children's small pool, a large pool for adults, a pool bar, a hotel bar, a restaurant, a restaurant where you can eat in between main meals - all this is free for those who have an all-inclusive package.

This is a second line hotel, so the private beach is across the road - go there for 5-7 minutes. Sunbeds and mattresses for them are issued in the morning from about 7-00, and at 17-00 - 17-30 they are already being collected. In general, this beach is open, you can come there at any time, even at night. The sea is shallow, only closer to the buoys there is already some depth. The sand is white and clean, so even in a storm the water does not get cloudy. For children and those who swim poorly, this is just what you need.
The room has a double bed, wardrobe, 2 bedside tables, coffee table, 2 armchairs, 2 mirrors, TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, bathroom. There is a large balcony with a table and 2 plastic chairs. The bathroom has a sink, mirror, bath with shower, toilet. Everything worked great, no complaints.
It should be noted that in some hotels in Tunisia, refrigerators in the rooms are paid. Everything is free here, but the minibar is not provided.
The only thing is that there is not a single Russian-language or, at least, Polish channel, so they hardly watched TV. The room was cleaned daily. There is carpeting in the room and in the corridor, but the cleaners vacuumed it regularly, so it was clean.
The food in the restaurant was very good. Large selection of dishes from meat, vegetables, rice, pasta, fried potatoes, salads. Every day they gave watermelons, melons, plums.
There is such a nuance here (but this is the case everywhere in Tunisia, unlike, for example, from Egypt) that tea, coffee and drinks in the restaurant can only be taken for breakfast. For lunch or dinner, you need to take them at the bar or order from the waiter. It's free, but inconvenient, especially since the tea and coffee from the coffee machine in the bar was just awful, and good coffee was brewed only for breakfast.
In general, the hotel is very decent and suitable for families with children, and for youth holidays. It is located near the old city, where there is something to see. I recommend to everyone!
