It was the first time in Tunisia, before that 2 times Egypt and 2 times Turkey. I want to say at once, the difference is big. In Tunisia, the staff and people are completely different. They are somehow kinder to you, more benevolent or something. They are not spoiled with dollars as in Turkey or Egypt. The attitude towards the Russians is at the highest level, it seemed to me that even the Germans and the British are a little in the background. Now about the hotel. Tour Khalef Marhaba Thalasso & Spa 4 * excellent medium-sized hotel, clean, tidy, the staff is polite, friendly and unobtrusive. We arrived at the hotel early at 6 o'clock in the morning and therefore had to wait until 12 o'clock, but these are the same rules as everywhere else. We went to breakfast, despite the fact that we didn’t even draw up any papers for settling in (many thanks to the guide Natalia for this, she solves issues on the fly and without any problems). No money was paid for the room, the 4th floor overlooking the sea, the usual room is clean, comfortable. There is no hair dryer and refrigerator in the room, so if you go take it with you (I mean not a refrigerator! ). The Thalasso building has everything, but in order to move in there, you need to buy SPA procedures for about $ 300. A restaurant with good European cuisine, they cook normally, almost like at home, the rating is excellent in terms of nutrition. The hotel area is not big but everywhere is clean, 50-70 meters to the sea. There is one drawback though. On the beach, places must be taken at 6 o'clock in the morning, otherwise there will simply be no places at 9 o'clock, or they will be bought from the guards for 1-2 dinars, so they earn money, but only the guards on the beach, there are no questions to the rest of the staff. Therefore, in one of the reviews about the hotel, I read that the sunbeds on the beach are paid, this is all not true. You need to have your own towel, because they don’t give out like in Egypt, and it’s forbidden to take it out of the room.
The city of Sousse is not big. It is better to travel long distances by taxi, it is not expensive, only 3-5 dinars. (1 dinar = 22 rubles). The city is very calm even in the evening, there are a lot of police, so you don’t have to worry about crime, but it’s better not to click a mitten. In general, the holiday was a success. We really liked it, especially the white sand and clear sea. Next time we will go back to Tunisia, but probably to a different hotel for a change and for comparison.
