Rested at ADORA Golf Resort in early June 2008. I traveled with my family, with my wife and two children: 6 years and 11 months. It was the first time in Turkey. Before that, I rested in Europe, mainly in three-star hotels, so I expected a little better service from 5 *, albeit Turkish ones 
We arrived at the hotel late at night, the check-in did not raise any questions, because we were immediately given a room card, put on hotel bracelets and the hotel employee offered to help carry the suitcases. Here we were in for a surprise. It turned out that we were settled on the third floor in a three-story house - FamilyHouse, in which there is no elevator, and the stairs are unusually steep. I immediately went down to the reception and asked to change the room either to the first floor or to a room that can be easily reached with a stroller. Unfortunately, the hotel staff did not help us in this matter. Neither the next day, nor a week later, we were not offered any options for changing the number. So I dragged the stroller with the child to the third floor for two weeks, risking falling down the steep stairs. Guide in this matter was also indifferent.
ADORA Golf Resort is an interesting hotel with very good and varied cuisine. If you like to eat then this is the place for you. Just be prepared that sometimes all the places in the restaurant are occupied, and you will walk for 10-15 minutes along the busy tables in search of a free seat. There are a lot of bars on the territory, which, of course, is a plus. But the bar service leaves much to be desired. If you are traveling with children, then control what the bartender pours for the child. With me, a 10-year-old child was made an alcoholic cocktail. You can easily pour cocoa on a request for a cup of Turkish coffee.

As for animation, there is certainly a lot of it in the hotel. The whole day is scheduled for hours with various activities: boccia, archery or rifle shooting, volleyball, water polo, aerobics for women. Again, do not be offended if, having come to archery and stood in line for half an hour, they will give you only two shots. There are many vacationers, but there is only one bow in the hotel. As well as a rifle and a volleyball, so 12 people are playing volleyball, and another 10 are waiting for their turn.
But we are always accustomed to entertain ourselves, so I took tennis rackets and balls with me on vacation, knowing that 7 tennis courts were waiting for me at the hotel. Upon arrival, I immediately asked at the reception how to reserve the courts, to which I was told that it was not necessary to reserve. There are rackets - go play...
So I went to play for a week, until one fine day a certain Turk in a hotel uniform comes and asks to leave the court and explains in bad Russian that he is the "Head of the courts" and he reserved the court for others. He said just like that - "get out of here, this is my court. " The receptionists shrugged at my claims, like "you're here - no one and there's no way to call you, " but they don't know how to reserve the courts. True, they promised the next day to sort it out and meet me with the Big Boss, who would explain to me how it is possible - to expel vacationers from the court. I emphasize that I did not ask for any meeting, and simply asked to give me the opportunity to play in the future so that no one would kick me out. As a result, no boss came the next day and I was offered to go and TALK to this Turk, the Head of the courts myself. I considered it a mockery. I don’t know Turkish, but he really speaks Russian, and English would hardly have helped this boor...
An important aspect for vacationers, especially with children, is medical assistance. In the hotel, it is organized in this way: a nurse sits in a special room, who knows neither Russian nor English, and if you contact her, she visually determines the problem and either solves it or calls. And there they tell you in your native language that in an hour a car will arrive and hospitalize you in the hospital. How much medical care will cost in this case - only Allah knows. We called a doctor for our baby with a 30-dollar insurance (the temperature suddenly rose sharply to 38C), so the security and reception of the hotel refused to let the insurance doctor into the territory and we were assisted on the road, at the hotel gate. They explained this unpretentiously - "you do not let us earn. " To be honest, when a child's life is in danger, this attitude of the hotel towards customers is just the height of impudence.

The hotel is home to 95% Russian, as it seemed to me. At least, in 2 weeks I heard German speech only 1 time. However, the hotel administration is in no hurry to help the Russians. Finding a Russian-speaking worker at the reception is a problem. It's good that I know English, it helped me a lot. Again, guides are available during business hours. Of course, they are all Russian speakers. Guess which of the twelve flags at the entrance to the hotel hangs incorrectly? That's right, only our native Russian banner turned upside down. Of course, this is a trifle, but I can imagine the reaction of the Turks if we joke with their flag.
Turkish service is, of course, a special case. So I really "liked" their taxi : ) We agreed with the taxi driver on the price, I show the taxi driver the place on the map where I need to, and he tells me in the middle of the way that he cannot go there. It just can't. And brings to the jewelry center. And then, like - go by public transport. Very original taxi in Turkey : ) It's better to go by bus.
And yet, despite a bunch of minuses, I liked Turkey. Great weather, lush vegetation, friendly people, perfect cleanliness, almost European infrastructure. I will definitely go to Turkey again, but not to ADORA Golf Resort.
