Tuana 2008

Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For a relaxing holiday; For families with children
We returned from Tuana two weeks ago and want to share our impressions with those who are now planning a vacation.
The three of us rested - me, my husband and son (10 years old), and, in general, were satisfied with the rest.
I was pleased with the good organization of the transfer by the operator, the road from Dalaman Airport to the hotel is not tiring and beautiful, along the way the representative of Turtessa provides useful information.
We did not have any problems with the settlement, unlike the authors of the previous comments, but we saw how other hotel guests had them. When planning a check-in, you need to correctly choose the time of arrival at the hotel, choosing the plane. It is safer to arrive in the afternoon, then the reserved places are likely to be free.

We lived in Park-2 and do not regret it. It is probably better to buy a ticket to the Park right away than to pay for the Club, and then be settled in the Park, because there were no places in the Club. I recommend choosing Park-2, it is further from the center of the territory, but nicer, lighter than Park-1. In addition, there is a larger pool in Park-2, and you do not need to cross the road to get to the territory of the “town”. But keep in mind that going to the restaurant, the beach and other necessary places from it is quite far (at a slow pace of 10-15 minutes). Although you can also be far from "civilization" in the Club. In general, it is more convenient to live in the park because you can relax by the pool or in the bar without going far from your house, it is more compact and much quieter here than in the central part of the Club. Roosters under the windows, indeed, sing, but it brings a certain flavor.
We had a room for three, but very small. Maybe there are more rooms in other places.
The food in the general restaurant is quite varied, but most of the dishes contain a lot of vegetables. Some of them are spicy, some are not, it is better to try a little of everything, and then take already proven ones. Delicious fish. I also liked soups and rice in different forms. Of course, queues are constantly formed in the restaurant, and if you come to the end of the meal, you may not get something. We were often late, and then there was nowhere to sit, we had to sit on an already vacant table, however, the waiters could re-lay the tablecloth if they were asked.
In general, the staff is very friendly and pleasant. Everyone is trying to help. We greeted and spoke simple phrases in Turkish, it bribed everyone and disposed to us. The animation program has Turkish lessons, we attended them almost every day, and we were able to learn a lot of words and phrases. It was interesting and helpful.

Of course, it is much better if you know and can speak any other language than Russian. In "Tuan" you find yourself in an atmosphere of complete internationality and a mixture of dialects. For those who hold the view that everyone around them should speak only Russian, and do not strive to use foreign languages, this can be annoying.  Nevertheless, you will not be lost without English. There are many people in the hotel who speak Russian well. The representative of Turtessa Natalia, who is always almost on site, will be able to help you with the translation. In any of the services (at the reception, at the info desk, in the kids club, in the spa center or in the store) there is Russian or Russian-speaking staff. Most of the animation team with us was from Ukraine, almost everyone else could understand and say simple phrases in Russian. Animation is conducted in several languages at once (English, Turkish, German, Russian). In bars, too, they already understand simple requests. Well, almost everyone understands English and German, so with a minimum knowledge of these languages, of course, you will feel more comfortable. There were also more Russian-speaking visitors among the visitors. But there are also many Turks, Germans, English, French, Belgians, Poles and many others.
Yes, the tours organized by the tour operator are also in Russian. We went several times, and we didn’t really like what they told a little, but maybe there was nothing more. I recommend going on a trip to 12 islands on a yacht (preferably individually), very beautiful! However, beauty is everywhere, starting from the bay around Tuana and Fethiye itself.
The beach is really not good, the water is muddy most of the day, stones and sea urchins, it is dangerous to walk. Do not spare time and money for excursions, it will be very pleasant to swim in the open sea.
Animation during the day is mainly sports - volleyball, water polo, boccia, mini-golf, darts, archery and air rifle, football, pool games. Many of these activities overlap, so you need to decide what you want to do. Diving and surfing for money. Free - kayaks and catamarans. There is a good gym and sauna.
In the evening, every day different performances - comedy shows or musicals. The animation team dances well, all performances with ballet numbers. We liked it, and they are great fellows and hard workers! In general, it's better to look at the schedule of various events (they write in the newspaper every morning) and join, so you get to know someone, they recognize you, and it becomes more fun. For children, the same recommendation - you need to take the initiative, try to participate in everything, and not wait until they invite you.
Yes, there are games on computers (game stations) for children. They cost $8 an hour. You can choose what you like. There is Internet, but it is also paid (I think, 6 dollars an hour). For those who need to work on vacation, this is important to know. In some places of the hotel there is Wi-Fi, but also for the money.

The territory of the hotel is large and well-groomed, there are many flowers, but it cannot be said that it is very beautiful. The place is very flat, there are no ups and downs. Of the trees - palms, bananas, some deciduous. There are almost no pines and cedars on the territory, although in general the area is pine. Shades are also not enough, the paths are all in the sun. I also did not like that there were few benches around the territory. You can only sit on the sun loungers around the pools, or in the bars. Both of them are in abundance in the hotel.
I will also mention that during the rest my child had a birthday. We were counting on a gift from the tour operator, but in Turtesse they pretended not to understand what it was about. But the son was very nicely congratulated in the evening by the animators from the children's club, they gave him a gift. We are really grateful to all the staff of the hotel for the good organization of the holiday.
If you are considering whether to go to Tuanu, use our recommendation and go boldly. If you have any questions, I'm ready to tell you everything I know and remember. We ourselves chose a place of rest for a long time, and were glad if someone had information about hotels of interest to us.
