In Karelta, a family of 2 adults + 2 children rested from 06/27/2012 to 07/07/2012. Traveled with Pegasus. Last time we rested in the "five", there is something to compare. I liked the rest.
Beach. There is a pier, from it there are 2 ladders into the sea, the entry from the shore is not very good - large stones. But the water is clean, not cloudy - this is a plus for the whole of Kemer. There were always enough sun loungers, although they were probably occupied from 6 in the morning, but there were always a couple of free ones.
Swimming pool. The main plus is the slides, they worked for about 2 hours before lunch and 2 hours after lunch, but the children managed to ride enough, and adults could also ride from them, they are quite large. There was a shallow pool, 30-40 centimeters. And the main one is divided into 3 sectors with a depth of approximately 1.2-1.4-1.8 meters.

Nutrition. They fed quite well, in some ways no worse, if not better, than in the top five. For example fruits: there were peaches, apricots (oranges, watermelons, melons by itself). From meat they gave lamb shish kebab (not kebab, namely pieces of meat), then they baked lamb once. Well, about a day later - kebab on skewers. Fish a couple of times, a big one, baked. Bird: chicken and turkey type, there was something too. In general, I, for whom already without meat is not dinner, did not complain about the lack of protein. Well, the wife and children were, as usual, crazy about desserts. They used (in moderation) red wine - the same diluted as in the top five, and beer - pretty decent. The service staff is polite.
Number. We settled in at about 13.00, although we arrived at 7 in the morning, but this is rather a rule in the season, the hotel is full, besides there were four of us. I didn’t give any money at the reception, it’s of little use with such a number. We had a Corner Room, a corner one with 3 beds, one double bed and 2 single beds. The room is large, walked past the double rooms - quite small. From the balcony you could see both the sea and the mountains - beauty! Towels were changed almost every day, maybe cleaned a little less often, and then we used to put up a “Do Not Disturb” sign. But in general, they were removed even more often than in the top five. They did not leave $ for cleaning, only once in the county.
Animation. Not the strong point of this hotel. There is practically no children's room, until lunch they sit in the playroom, where cartoons are played and there are some toys, the animators did not work with them. Except that they painted a T-shirt that had to be bought for $15. And in the evening 30 minutes of ARAM-ZAM-ZAM and that's it. For adults, it’s not very good either, in the evening there are an hour of different skits, with a kind of humor, some of which are better for children not to watch. A children's team came to the Turkish night, they performed well. And once they came from Georgia, the winners of some Caucasian competition - the children generally performed great!
There was also, of course, beach volleyball, water polo, aerobics near the beach and in the pool.

Location. 1st line. That says it all. Some annoying that the hotel is located near the cemetery. Our room windows overlooked it, or rather, the wall of coniferous trees growing in front of the cemetery, and if I had not read about it earlier, I would not even have noticed it. In addition, the cemetery is quite old, quiet, there were no funeral processions, and there were no zombies to be seen there... Wouldn’t it be better if instead of a cemetery there was a hotel of 5-6 floors. From which from 20.00 to 01.30 came the unforgettable ARAM-ZAM-ZAM and other musical delights of the Turkish night.
Vacationers were about 80% Russian, a lot of Turks, well, a few, families of Serbs, Dutch.
Well, a couple of words, not related to the hotel. If you are relaxing with children, it makes sense to go on excursions: the Triton pirate yacht, children are delighted, adults too. Dino Park, which opened recently. We also went to the Aqualand water park, we liked it very much.
Have a nice rest!
