Last night we returned from the "Catamaran" hotel in Beldibi, Antalya, I decided to write a review faster, before I forgot anything. We rested in this hotel for the second time, for the first time - in 2012. Therefore, I will compare it with that check-in. Firstly, by 2014 the hotel was renovated: the facade, the first floor hall were transformed, I noticed new canopies over the sun loungers on the beach, in the restaurant on the street, beach towels are also new. The territory of the hotel is small, but perfectly zoned and very beautiful: many palm trees, flowers, climbing plants, clipped bushes stand like fences. There is a large tennis court - it is free, there is a table tennis table, a mini-golf course. We had a renovated clean room (1332), 3rd floor, overlooking the sea, mountains and the mosque. That is, the even numbers overlook the sea and mountains, and the odd ones look out onto the street, maybe such info will come in handy for someone. At the reception they put ten dollars in the passport, the girl didn’t take it for herself, she threw it into a type box, they have these everywhere - for tips, that is, they spend this money together, I understand. At first, I was upset - I read reviews that the mullah's songs really interfere with rest, and so - with two small children, I never experienced any inconvenience. He preliminarily sings a line briefly and then it takes about thirty seconds before he begins to sing the prayer in full, if the children were asleep, we had time to close the door to the balcony, that's all. We got right into the festive week of Ramadan and saw how tables were set there in the evenings, people hurried to the mosque, sat down with whole families, treated themselves, very interesting. Tales about the cemetery from other reviews are generally nonsense - between him and the "Catamaran" there are at least two more hotels. The staff at the hotel is excellent - they cleaned every day, changed towels and sheets, even when I put out the "Do Not Disturb" sign, because during the day my daughters slept, they came to clean up in the evening, imperceptibly, really. A couple of times they left a dollar for the maids, that's all. The hotel stands right on the street full of stalls, so in the evenings there was where to take a walk, wandered in different directions quite far, asked the price, just watched the life around. The sea is clean, warm, practically without waves, however, a couple of times garbage was dumped from some boats - glasses, bags, they were quickly carried away, but it’s a little unpleasant that people treat their own nature this way. A sandy strip near the shore, large stones begin from a depth of approximately hip-deep, it is easier to swim right away. There is an entrance to the sea with railings, but we did not use it. Many bought swimming slippers, they cost $5 right in front of the hotel at a kiosk. We were fine as it is. To the left of the beach there is a floating platform, you can sunbathe or dive, on the right there is something like a pier, on poles, there were sunbeds and umbrellas, two meters high above the sea, we also dived there. From the sun on the beach there are large awnings, next to a bar, a restaurant where we dined, a refrigerator with water in small, convenient bottles. Water was also brought into the room, but we took it with us from the lobby for the night. The contingent of vacationers - Russians, Ukrainians and Turks, boors and bullies did not notice, all are normal, friendly, mostly families. The food at the hotel is delicious, however, compared to 2012, they have shrunk in costs. But even now, almost every day, seafood - sauté ed mussels and vegetables, squid rings with vegetables, shrimp. Meat - several types, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb was given a couple of times. A lot of things were grilled, for example, kebabs, something like shawarma on a spit. Lots of greens - lettuce, cabbage, spinach, daily cucumbers, tomatoes, shredded carrots, various vegetable salads, excellent mashed soups, various seasonings stand nearby. Side dishes - rice, bulgur, pasta, french fries. In the morning, a waffle iron worked (albeit an old one, it baked each waffle for 7 minutes), a grill for sandwiches, three types of coffee in the machine (it used to be five). The only thing is that they stopped making an omelet in the morning, and my girls love it, they were reluctant to eat scrambled eggs. And there was only one porridge - oatmeal, which, of course, became boring in two weeks. For alcohol, there have also been cuts: cocktails that were previously free have become paid, about $ 10 per cocktail. Free gin and tonic, whiskey and cola, cognac and cola, vodka, I think. The bar in the middle of the pool generally offered only beer and diluted juices, although earlier they prepared both alcoholic and delicious non-alcoholic milkshakes there. During breakfast, lunch and dinner, the waiters quickly cleared the tables, changed the tablecloths, it never happened that we had nowhere to sit, although our family, together with the father-in-law - 7 people, there was always a place. When the plates ran out, they brought them within 3-5 minutes. I don’t remember that some dish ended and it wasn’t brought. We got to the anniversary of the hotel - on the 16th it was 10 years since the opening, there was a grand show, fireworks, live music, tables were set around the pool, national dishes were cooked on the street, it was very impressive. A good team of animators - they have been working together for several years, always smiling, friendly, trying their best - every day there was something: games in the pool, volleyball on the beach, water polo, mini-golf tournaments, darts, table tennis. Two girls worked for the children - Katya (I think she was Ukrainian, but she spoke Russian) and Zhasun (Turkish by nationality, but also quite well owned Russian and English). Every day there were games, children drew, there was no hard stuffing of T-shirts for $ 15, as in other hotels. My eldest daughter ran to the girls with pleasure. It's a pity that the repair did not touch the mini-club, it's time to replace the furniture there, and the inventory needs to be updated, one rocking chair on the territory was broken and in two weeks it was not replaced. Next to the kids club there is a mini-zoo with peacocks, pigeons and pheasants, the children liked it, but I was afraid of such a neighborhood, a lot of infections are transmitted from birds, after all. We did not take excursions - in the middle of the rest, the youngest daughter fell ill, so for entertainment - we rolled up to Antalya a couple of times. They shopped in Migros and Deepo. We went by minibus, caught right away, a white bus with the inscription "Kemer-Antalya", every 10-15 minutes it goes, it beeps itself if it sees tourists at the hotel. A ticket costs 2.5 dollars or 5 lira, you pay at the exit. At the entrance, you say the word "Migros" to the driver, and there he drops off. Back also, although taxi drivers immediately run up, with whom, in principle, you can agree to get back for 15 dollars, although taxis are on duty at the hotel with a price tag of $ 55 one way to Migros and 90 round trip. It takes longer to get to Dipo: I drove to Migros, there I walked forward to the stop, which is at the very shopping center, I got on the city bus "03", the fare is even cheaper, like 1 dollar. To Dipo to go through the whole city, it is very interesting to watch through the window how the chic hotels and mansions of the Konaalti district are replaced by rather modest and shabby houses of the Muratpasi district. In Dipo, everything is the same as in Migros, only there are fewer people, some boutiques are larger, there are outlets where you can buy something at a big discount. From what I noticed (I'll write in Russian, sorry) - Waikiki, Benetton, Gant, Derimod, Collins, Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger, Cacharel and a bunch of branded stores. Almost everywhere you can quickly get tax free (VAT refund), but keep in mind this thing: at the airport you will be forced to show every thing you want to return the tax on. That is, you buy and put it directly into a separate suitcase in branded packages. We mixed everything, pushed it apart, and didn’t see the point of rummaging through the bags at the airport (there were a lot of small, cheap things for children), but the tax would have been returned to us for two hundred dollars, just enough for duty free. But we didn’t know what things would require, now scientists : (. You can also go to the Lunapark yourself, it’s just opposite Migros, there are many cool rides, 10 tokens cost 40 liras or $ 20. Not far from Migros, if you go forward along the boulevard Atatü rk, there are excellent children's stores, in one of them, Kanz, we stocked up on great things with big discounts. For example, the German company "Pampolina", in Kemerovo it is sold only in pontoon boutiques and costs three times more than in Turkey. themselves, without a travel agency, to go to the Aquarium, but due to the fact that the second daughter also caught a cold, they postponed the idea. we did. By the end of the holiday it was made quieter. On the last evening we went to an Italian a la carte restaurant, it would be better to eat at dinner. The seafood soup was delicious and the pasta, the rest was the same as in the main restaurant, only they carried it for a long time terribly, the children were exhausted. In my opinion, it’s better to go there now either without children, or with children over seven years old, it’s difficult for kids to eat there (a lot of spicy dishes, modest breakfasts, but there was always milk - they asked for both lunch and dinner - we were never refused ). An unpleasant aftertaste was left by the fact that on the day of departure we were picked up by a bus at 12.20, and lunch began at 12.30. they didn't give. The lunch box was also not assembled - they said that they were collecting it only for early departures. In general, the hotel is good, we liked everything and the second time. By the way, as a compliment from the hotel for the second arrival, they brought us a fruit platter and a bottle of wine to our room. Well, we put terry bathrobes with slippers on the same account). In general, the hotel is good, the nature around is very picturesque, we will miss you.
