I read the previous review and decided to write a review now, while we are still in Boran Mare, and not on our return, as I was going to.
1. We arrived on Saturday morning, May 21, settled us in 5 minutes, showed us to the room, helped with the suitcases. For the first time, instead of the standard one, we were placed in a family room. They decided that people did not come to them at all. They made a mistake, just on this weekend the hotel was very crowded: in addition to ordinary guests, many Turks arrived in Boran Mare by car for the holidays (May 19 is a national holiday in Turkey, a day off). They left by Monday.
2. There are relatively few guests in the hotel, the filling is 2/3, no more, but apparently, in Boran Mare the situation is the best in Goynuk. Everything is sad in the village, some of the hotels did not open at all, large ones like Queen Park, Amara (ex-Chantal) and neighboring Otium are open. But in terms of filling, a simple comparison: the beach of Otium is empty, while in Boran in the middle of the week half is occupied. By the way, in Boran, the green canopies were finally changed to umbrellas, under which there are 2 sun loungers and a table. There are no Russians. As an exception, for the entourage - several families (in the spa, one lady quarreled, she wanted a discount on massage, "Well, look at it! The ruble has fallen! So the massage should be cheaper! "). Iranians, Czechs and Poles appeared among the guests. Half, as before, are Germans. There were many times more Turks themselves. I think the price reduction stimulated domestic tourism.

3. Food. It has become smaller due to the fact that there are fewer guests, but in terms of quality it has by no means become worse! The chef and baker are the same as before, everything is fresh and tasty as always. The assortment has become smaller, but this simply means that there are not 10 types of cheese, but "only" 6. From meat, there is always poultry (chicken or turkey), beef (or lamb), now there is always fish. In the evening, all sorts of harmful but very tasty grilled things. Lots of vegetables of all kinds. Traditional homemade and therefore ignored by me are buckwheat-rice, cereals, mashed potatoes, french fries, pasta of all kinds. Salads greens - as usual. Sweet seems to be even better. Baking - as it was, their baker's pide is simply mind-blowing. Fruits - strawberries, peaches, apricots and other apples-oranges are always there. But there are no watermelons. And I think I know why: the weather is not very good. It's cold and rainy. Summer, as in Ukraine, is delayed. Therefore, the fruits are ripe, juicy, but not very sweet without the sun. Bakhcha, apparently, no without the sun. And more about food: a snack bar is open from 11 to 18. Pizzas, 4 types of ice cream, they will make hamburgers, next to gozlim with toppings - I can’t imagine how you can stay hungry in such conditions. Well, I can’t ignore the fact: they changed the supplier of wine. New 1.5l bottles. Honestly: the red just got sick, and pink and white, for my taste, got worse.
4. The territory, as always, is green and well-groomed. Everything blooms and smells, as always in May. Beach towel cards have been canceled, now one is common with the room number. Cleaning is meticulous. Yes, $1 left. On the third day we had swans tied together : ) funny. Massages - now 5 massages for $100 and a hammam + massage + mask as a gift. The weather, as she said, helped to run to warm up after the invigorating sea (+20 °) to the sauna and massages. Slides work, ping-pong 2 tables seem new, air hockey and basketball machine - $1 for 1 token. Some new board games have appeared, until I figured out what it is. The animation works, the show is shown, Zinet and the team are in place, but in a reduced composition. Oh, and Xenia from the reception has disappeared, I hope she is doing well. Aziz Bey plays backgammon with an elderly Turk every evening by the pools at a table. Sad.
In general, what I want to say is that I don't know what will happen next year, but I believe in the owner's talent as a manager. The strategy of "betting on regular customers" this year will allow him to at least break even, but the Turkish tourism market has already begun to change. The Russians are no longer counted on. Large hotel chains with a reputation will survive, and the rest will either reorient or close. In Beldibi, for example, almost all the street shops along the road were demolished and the road is already being expanded at their expense, now the village is full of construction. Goynuk is still "on pause", but not for long, apparently. Dali be.
