Ten nights in "Marco Polo" in May for a family with two children (3 years old) from Kyiv from "TezTour" cost eq. 2400 USD (minus 5% discount from a travel agent) - and if you evaluate the hotel based on the money paid, I can say that I am satisfied with the price-quality ratio. Whether those who pay more than twice as much at the height of the season will be satisfied is a question. We chose "Marco Polo" from the list of family-oriented hotels in Kemer on the advice of a travel agent for the fact that before the seasons of 2010 and 2011 a thorough renovation was carried out there, including the number of rooms (now both in the main, "club" part, and in "gardene"). The rooms, of course, are not luxurious, but very modest, but everything is new, clean, and working. In our room, however, in the bathroom, water was leaking slightly in the corner, forming a puddle. And yet, from time to time, dampness and a sewer smell were drawn from the drain holes - the door to the bathroom had to be carefully closed, and the windows in the room were always kept open. In the family room (family room) - children have their own small bedroom, which leads to a doorway without a door, and a large room with a lockable door for adults. There was a concern about the safety of a bunk bed for children - my kids sleep in playpen at home, and the thought of their possible fall in a dream on the ceramic tiles of the room from the second (and from the first) tier could completely deprive them of night rest. We resolved the issue by installing an additional folding bed right next to the bunk bed - as insurance. The two-three-storey buildings of the "club" part of the hotel - with tiled roofs, white ivy-covered walls and hanging gutter chains - form a semblance of an old town with narrow streets. Most of the windows-balconies look out onto green lawns with pines, cypresses and bushes. Some overlook the streets themselves, and this can be somewhat uncomfortable - other vacationers and staff are constantly roaming past your balcony. Building "Garden" of more modern architecture, without the charm of stylized "antiquity". It has its own swimming pool (with a separate shallow children's part). The rooms in the Garden, at least the standard ones, seem to be a little smaller than the ones in the Club. However, everything at the Marco Polo is designed for the maximum stay out of the room, and the common areas, especially the area of the main pool and bar, are stylish, well-groomed and help to create the impression of a classy hotel. The beach is good, with a very convenient, as for a pebble, entrance to the water. The food is not very varied, but tasty. The staff is diligent, mostly Russian speaking. There is a decent kids club with an additional pool, slides, swings, a buffet and games rooms, where animators-educators look after the children for several hours before and after lunch. Even with children, it is worth going to the territory of the neighboring hotel Naurland Forest - there is a real fairy-tale town and a mini-zoo with pets.
