The fact that we will spend our honeymoon in one of the resort towns of Club Med was decided a year before the wedding.
It was August 2019 and we just dreamed about where we wanted to go. Then there was no coronavirus yet and you could afford to travel abroad. We considered Morocco, Thailand and China - we wanted to go further and more exotic. We decided to think before the New Year and already buy a tour for the fall. But then the unexpected happened - China was the first to close, and after it, the whole planet was in self-isolation. My despair knew no bounds, but what to do. And in June, the groom happily announced that Club Med had opened resorts and in the fall it would be possible to fly, as we dreamed, but not to Asia and Africa, but closer - to Turkey, to the resort town of Palmie.
We paid for the tour on the official website, until the last moment we were worried that it would not be possible to fly due to the epidemiological situation, but the resort remained open all season. It was an amazing honeymoon, 10 honeymoon days to be exact.

In descriptive adjectives, Palmie is huge, beautiful, comfortable and fun. And still delicious. The town is big, but there are not so many guests. This is even visible in the photo - like a general shot and a huge piece of territory is captured, but there are no random people in the photo, no one got into the frame. During the day, everyone dispersed in accordance with their interests - some were swimming, some were lying by the pool with a glass of cocktail, but most still went in for sports at sea or on land. The real number of vacationers could only be judged at evening shows.
We also did not stay away from, as they are called here, sports academies. I especially liked those related to water. We rode on a catamaran and water skis, swam.
The food was very tasty. Fortunately, I have been following a certain diet for many years, associated with some food restrictions, and I know how to say “no” to my appetite. My husband was not afraid to gain extra kilos, so he ate as much as he wanted.
Probably, given the epidemiological situation in the world, it is worth saying a few words about the precautionary measures at the resort.
At the airport, we all passed tests for covid, received certificates and went to the landing with them. In Palmia itself, disinfection is carried out constantly - handrails, door handles, exercise equipment are wiped several times a day. The buffet tables are located behind a transparent partition and guests themselves cannot take food. We only showed the employee at the table what we wanted and he served. Approach to the buffet table was possible only in a mask. Paired deck chairs are located, as it were, in separate booths under a canopy - an alcove and nothing more, separate deck chairs stood at a distance from each other. That is, I want to say that everywhere the contact of vacationers is minimal.
