The first day at the hotel is June 5.2011 (2 weeks since the opening of the hotel).

I think it makes no sense to paint in detail the flight to Antalya. Everything is as usual. Morning departure from Yekaterinburg (at 11:00). High spirits (after all, the first day of vacation), a new large suitcase stuffed to capacity with my wife, my own airport, a dutik with inexpensive alcohol, a comfortable Boeing 737 of Orenburg Airlines, a transfer to the hotel by Pegas bus. We are waiting for the meeting of the hotel.

We chose the hotel in April, went through all the possible options and chose Eldar. The fact that the hotel is new and beautiful attracted me. Again, Kemer, as well as the village of Goynuk, familiar from last year's trip. We expected the opening in the first days of May and were a little "tensed" by the postponement of the opening of the hotel, and later by the reviews of tourists about the hotel and the beach.
But they didn’t want to change anything, because very often hotel reviews are subjective. And now we are in Turkey, we drive up to the Hotel. Frozen in anticipation….

The hotel is located right behind the Park Queen Resort (if you go from the airport), on the second line (on the first line is QUEENS PARK RESORT). When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately pleasantly surprised. The view from the road is very beautiful. Fountains, everything is clean and well maintained. The bus again drove right up to the entrance. The tourists on the bus fell silent with envy - it was already the 5th or 6th hotel during the trip, which they drove up to, and the impressions from what they saw Eldar were the strongest. We, filled with pride at our choice of hotel, disembarked from the bus, gave $2 to the driver for the fuss with our luggage, and headed to the reception.

We went into the hall: it is really very beautiful here. Due to the nature of my work, I practically do not get out of business trips and have seen many hotels, and I declare with all responsibility: the hotel is higher than 4 stars. Very impressive.

At the reception, we were met by a girl who spoke Russian very well. She very quickly and clearly explained to us the basic rules of staying at the hotel and described the location of the main points of activity of the hotel. We started filling out the guest card, naturally hinting to the girl that we would not like to get rooms with a view of the treatment plant, which we read about on the forum of the Turpravda website. By the way, contrary to established traditions, we did not put $10 in our passports, flattering ourselves with the hope that the hotel had just opened and there should have been a lot of free rooms. Accordingly, we should have been offered the best available. In fact, there were not so many free rooms, we were offered a room on the 3rd floor in the left wing of the hotel (if you look at the entrance), overlooking the hotel entrance group and the forest. A little to the right was some kind of sanitary zone.
“There are rooms overlooking the pool and the stage, but there is very loud animation, ” said the girl from the reception, “Music is hammering from 10 am to 12 pm. Do you need it? ". No, we answered in unison and went to the room.

We were pleasantly surprised when we took the elevator up to our rooms. The rooms are quite spacious with a modern design. Again, remembering the hotel rooms of other hotels, I caught myself thinking that everything is very chic. And, of course, everything is new. Very nice to be in the room. This was actually expected when choosing a hotel and we were not mistaken. There is a TV in the room, a double bed with bedside tables, a folding chair, 2 tables (one in the center is written with a mirror, the other is a coffee table near the chair), there is a closet in the hallway. Everything is as usual in standard hotel rooms. The bathroom has new plumbing. Bathroom, by the way, not a shower. In the hallway there is a wardrobe with a safe. The balcony is quite spacious, 2 chairs and a table, convenient fasteners on the wall for drying clothes.
The air conditioning in the room is programmed to turn off automatically if the stained glass door to the balcony is opened. The air conditioner works very well, creating the desired comfort in the room.
I had to adjust the refrigerator, because before us someone set the temperature to +8 (why? ? ? ). Plus, they fiddled with the safe, someone closed it. They called the receptionist, he told us the password for the safe (a very simple combination), said that the password was the same and did not change. We were very surprised by this fact, but did not object, especially since it would be useless to talk to an employee who does not speak Russian and English well. In general, the hotel room was also rated at 5, they quickly dropped their things and rushed to explore the hotel further. Time is 16:00. From the planned for this day: Turkish bath, sightseeing, sightseeing of the beach and gala dinner with champagne.

We didn't go to meet the guide. We decided to hand over the papers.
After a quick bite of a cutlet with french fries in the snack bar by the pool, we again entered the building on the ground floor, where the entrance to the SPA, the exit to the pool, the entrance to the restaurant are located. Great area for coffee, right there is a photographer's stand. A young man with booklets in his hands, who turned out to be near us as soon as we got out of the elevator, offered the services of a SPA-salon. “You can right now. Sauna, massage, peeling, shmiling - $ 35 per person, ”he exclaimed. "Right now - it's $ 30 and in 10 minutes, " the wife said affirmatively. “And let’s go and see how everything is here! ". A quick inspection of the sports and recreation area and we affirmatively grunted “we will be in 10 minutes”, and left to change clothes.
Actually, while the wife was evaluating the quality of the work of the bannik and the massage therapist (by the way, the owner of the SPA did the massage for the wife, the staff is not enough - she liked it, others later said that only he does the massage in a quality manner), I decided not to waste time and take advantage of the benefits that were included for free. For free, as it turned out, there was everything that did not involve the participation of staff, namely a gym (more on this later), a Turkish steam room, a Finnish sauna, 2 showers (with cold water), a 6x25 meter pool. This, for me on the first day after a long journey, was quite enough. Since the Turkish bath for a Russian person is something beyond understanding, I alternated between the Finnish steam room and the pool. Bath - a class, Siberians periodically handed over some water with a tincture of some herbs, the pool was also beyond praise. The convenience of the health zone was that it was separated by stained-glass windows from the outdoor pool.
So you can stay there without feeling isolated. Moreover, you can immediately go out into the street, although this is not welcome and rightly so. After the 5th entry into the steam room, I gave up and returned to the room. My wife's procedure, instead of the promised hour, stretched for all 1.5-2.

After taking wellness procedures, we were ready to go to the sea, but the weather failed - it started to rain. After waiting for him for half an hour, we still decided to move to the beach, as it turned out later, the first disappointment of the evening awaited us there.

The beach is actually 300 meters from the hotel. You need to go outside the hotel gate, go right along the road 70 meters to the ROYAL PALM RESORT hotel, or to the ATM in front of it (as explained at the hotel), then turn left to the sea, walk another 150-200 meters and here it is the sea and the beach . Kick-Ass. The hotel beach is a piece of 25x25 meters, which was plucked from the beach of the ROYAL PALM RESORT hotel. VERY LITTLE! ! ! The beach is pebbly. On the territory there are sun loungers with mattresses, umbrellas, close to each other.
There are no toilets or showers on the beach. “It’s good that at least sunbeds were set up, this didn’t happen before, ” the vacationers who had come earlier sympathized with our mood. The swimming area in the sea is similar in size to the beach area, fenced with buoys to the right of the pier. In general, having examined the beach, we, frankly, were upset, because we arrived at the sea, and not at the hotel, and gloomy wandered back to dinner.

The restaurant in the hotel is quite convenient in location. There are two zones, indoors and outdoors. The food is quite tasty and varied, but in general it did not differ from what we had seen before in Turkey in 4-5 star hotels. Actually, something is fried for every meal: meat, chicken, fish. About alcohol… The quality of the foamy drink in the hotel is much higher than what we have tried before in other hotels. I noticed this even in the snack bar, when I drank the first glass of beer and noted that the beer was not diluted. After 2-3 glasses, hops are already felt in the head.
The rest of the alcohol is the same bodyaga as in other hotels.

Dinner, with drinking two festive (brought from Dutik) bottles of champagne, ended at nine o'clock. At this time, an animation program for children had already begun. My wife was actively in favor of continuing the evening and going to a disco, and we went to the animators to find out the agenda for the evening. As it turned out, the hotel also has a practice of leaving (taking guests) to a disco in Kemer. Departure from the hotel at 23:45, return at 3:00. DJ Smash performed in Aura today, so the tickets were $30 each. Since there were still 2-2.5 hours before departure, we went to the room to have a little rest before the disco. Naturally fell asleep and did not go anywhere in the end. Well, for the first day we already had quite a rich program. Through my sleep, I heard the music pounding and the animation host screaming - this evening they chose Mr. Hotel.
The neighbors in the corridor were noisy, gathering for the evening, but this did not prevent us from falling asleep.

A few more facts about the hotel:
1) Mostly Russians and Azerbaijanis rest in the hotel, a few Ukrainians. As one authoritative uncle noted, the hotel belongs to an Azerbaijani, so there are no foreigners from Europe here yet.
2) On the second day, we woke up at 6 in the morning (in Yekaterinburg at 9). We went to the sea. We were one of the first, occupied sun loungers, swam and after an hour another went back to the hotel for breakfast. We went swimming to the beach of the ROYAL PALM RESORT hotel on the right - there was still no one there. We once again noted that the lack of changing rooms, showers and toilets, not only on our small beach, but also on neighboring ones nearby, is a tin.
3) The seating area near the pool is very comfortable. Late morning of the second day spent by the pool. Very comfortable, lots of free sunbeds. Good music, water gymnastics. Competitive water slides.
4) In the morning of the second day I visited the gym. I really liked it, there was no one there except me  The machines are new, but the choice is not great: a treadmill, a couple of exercise bikes, skis, a bench press with a barbell, a wing machine, a press bench and a lot of dumbbells. All.
5) The hotel has 3 elevators (2 of them are panoramic, glass capsules) in the central area - it turned out to be very convenient to move around. The stairs were hardly ever moved.
6) On the second day, a neighbor’s bath illness manifested itself. The floor was flooded with water. We also have a small puddle running a little, not critical. In general, some kind of systemic problem was admitted during the construction.
7) The hotel has WIFI Internet. Cost 2 Euro/hour  It's true that it doesn't always work. It's a pity.
8) In the evening, the hotel has a very beautiful backlight.
9) Animation is really very noisy.

I do not envy those who will be accommodated in a room overlooking the pool, there will definitely not be privacy  Although there is a category of vacationers who like to sit on the balcony and watch what is happening. For them, these rooms are ideal.
10) As of June 9, the beach has been expanded by 25 meters, a toilet and a shower have been installed. Hooray!

PS. The advantages of the hotel clearly outweigh its disadvantages. If the beach is a priority for you and you want to stay on the sea more, it may be better to choose another hotel. If arriving at the sea twice a day for an hour or two is enough for you, do not hesitate, choose Eldar. The level of the hotel and service is really high.
