Fact trip to Naturland Country 18-29.06. 2012

First, a little background to understand with what attitude we went on this vacation.
The local travel agency did not fulfill its obligations to purchase air tickets to Montenegro, and therefore we did not fly there, and also did not have time to issue visas for an independent trip by car due to lack of time left before the start of the vacation. For the prompt return of their money paid to the travel agency for air tickets, they had to involve the police-police. Cheerful at first and sad, after talking with the authorities, the director of the travel agency promised to compensate for material and moral losses, including the search for a good hotel in Turkey without travel agency commissions (9%). 3 options were offered, I chose Naturland based on the information in the prospectus, on the tour operator's website and the words of the director of the travel agency that the Muscovite who had previously been there was satisfied.

He made an additional amount (the total cost for 10 nights, including compensation for two, turned out to be about 4.000 rubles), booked this tour and went to finalize the remaining two working days. At work I could not resist and decided to read reviews about this hotel. After reading, to put it mildly, negative reviews, I tried to change this hotel, but everything was in vain (I wrote to the mail, called the tour operator Coral Travel). The tour operator replied that all claims are accepted only after the fact, that is, if I arrive at the hotel and something does not suit me there. I was told on the phone that they contacted the hotel guide and he confirms that everything is fine there.
We thoroughly prepared for the trip for the facts. We collected candles, all kinds of sanitary and anti-mosquito products, towels, and even considered offers for bed linen and rags for self-cleaning of a 5 * hotel room.
At the Rostov airport, the representative of the tour operator, when I asked how to contact them from Turkey, said that upon arrival we would be given local SIM cards with which we can call Moscow and the local representative office for free. We took off on time and the flight went smoothly.

First time in Turkey. The road from Antalya to the hotel took about two hours. The representative of the tour operator was very surprised by my question on the SIM card and said that all calls were made through the reception. She agreed that there were complaints about our hotel, but she didn’t know specifically. On the way, we stopped at more closely located hotels in the Kemer area. Most of them occupied insignificant areas and somehow very densely located in settlements next to the road. I remembered that our hotel covers an area of .6. 000 square meters. m and this already cheered me up, because life in the city's mini-islets-oases did not suit me. Arrived at the hotel around 06.00.

30 local time. The guide took us to the reception. Since the resettlement of the rooms at 14.00, we were asked to attach our things. We were issued documents, put on bracelets, they said that we could go to Aqua for breakfast, and we could leave our things right in the lobby in front of the reception. But we already know from the reviews how dirty and uncomfortable it is in Aqua's dining room and we are heading to have breakfast in Country, at the same time we are considering the territory. Early in the morning you can hardly see anyone. We admire the awesomely decorated interior and territory. Indeed, it is clear that it is not tinted there, something is a little broken there, but we do not observe dirt and absolute unkemptness, which we expected to see. Having strayed a little, following the signs, we got to the dining room Country. Unity people. Ready for the scarcity of food, but the lack of queues and normally dressed and helpful staff pleased. After breakfast we went to get towels and went to the beach. The sea is very warm and fairly clean. Pebble coast.
It’s not entirely comfortable to walk without slippers out of habit, and in the lunch area it’s simply impossible (the sun heats up the pebbles so much that even the dog that recklessly stepped on it squealed as if it was on a hot frying pan, the owners quickly picked it up in their arms and ran to the water to cool their legs) .
After swimming enough, we cautiously went to dinner in Aqua. The reality turned out to be less scary than we were prepared for. We did not see long queues, but the people were rapidly and anxiously rushing about with plates. Right away I saw how several pieces of watermelons and other food fell on the floor because of the prohibitively filled plates. We calmly typed what inspired confidence, and had a problem-free lunch.
At 2:00 pm we arrived at the reception. We were told the room was not ready yet. I insistently asked for the maximum possible waiting time. They said an hour max. OK. Went back to the beach and swim. At 15.
00 I am again at the reception, I find the promiser and indicate that the time has expired. The employee apologizes that we had to wait so long and offers to put us up in Forest or Aqua for an additional fee. I share my impressions of the hotel territory with admiration and say that it will not be difficult for us to walk along it for 10-15 minutes to the sea. He, obviously surprised, crosses out something on the cards, then for another 5 minutes he climbs the database in the computer and gives us our cards to room 3506 in Country. Since we do not know the location of our housing, we decide to go there without things.

Having risen on the funicular, for some reason we decide that we were settled in separate houses. Having strayed around the territory for about half an hour, they began to look for a building that didn’t look like a hostel. Having overcome the fences and closed gates, we climbed into the central and highest building of the hotel. But everything is closed there, through the windows and doors it is clear that no one has lived inside for a long time.
Later, we nevertheless got inside this building through the pool and saw a chic environment there, including a sauna, but alas, everything is mothballed and I think it is not in use.
Realizing that this was not the case, I remembered that on the way to breakfast we came across buildings that looked like hostels. We went towards the Country Dining Room and found our room on the 1st floor. Upon entering, we immediately felt a strong smell of dampness. Tried to find out how long the room was closed but to no avail. The staff did not understand either Russian or English. The initial inspection revealed that there was no safe, no mosquito nets, one socket did not work. Everything else is in fairly acceptable condition. Mold was not found in the room.
But dampness, with the windows and doors closed, is very strongly felt, therefore, having harmed security, they left the room leaving the windows open (they didn’t fix anything for us, although they promised both at the reception and the guide: there are not enough safes, there is no mosquito net , with an outlet, you just need to look for an electrician yourself and pay him baksheesh). The central air conditioner hummed intensely, but did not cool the room well. Since then, we have stopped using it altogether. Tile floor.
In general, I think we were relatively lucky in terms of housing, late in the evening and in the morning we sat at a stone table next to the room, with a beautiful bush and drank. The room was cleaned regularly and the linen was changed, even when sometimes they forgot to leave a tip. Rooms on the other side of the building are less comfortable, on the first floor there are windows facing the wall.
It took 5 days to explore the territory. I join the previously written reviews about the genius of its creator.

A lot of sculptures, interesting design solutions. Everything is harmoniously and coolly inscribed in the structure of the mountain. The tree-cafe was already open to the public, but neglect is felt. Until the last day, they found something not seen before. On the advice of the neighbors, we worked out the main route so that we go to the beach on foot and back by funicular, but if there are a lot of people, then we walked back, because only one of the two funiculars worked.

Twice we visited the fish restaurant on site (to visit you need to sign up with the girls who are next to the reception). I was not particularly impressed, and the second time I was so upset with sour salad. One baked trout and greens are served. I recommend trying the pomegranate sauce. The wine is local, in principle the same as in the bar at the reception.

The bar on the beach is open from 10.00, after 12.00 you can have a bite tortillas, french fries and other salads. I liked the beer.
After standing in line for 10 minutes, he handed it to his wife, and he went to drink a beer. When he returned, he saw that one of the visitors of the hotel (a Turk) undertook to help the woman bake them. I even took a picture of him. But then he began to distribute baked cakes not in turn, but to his acquaintances. I had to intervene. In the process of dismantling, the nerves of my companion could not stand it and we, spitting on this culinary art, went to the table to drink beer with another snack. I was very surprised when, five minutes later, another Turk brought us two portions of these cakes to the table and apologized. The woman who baked them, in the future, very carefully followed the waiting lists, and once even wanted to take them from the Turkish woman and give them to me, thinking that I was the first. In general, as everywhere there are different people, but for the most part, everyone behaves acceptable and does not create problems for each other.

There are mostly enough sun loungers on the beach, but it is advisable to book a place under a canopy in advance.

We came to the beach at 8 o'clock, but there were days when both at 10 and 12. We always found places. Once, though, returning from the bar, they did not find their towels, the wife saw a row of piled ones. They took two pieces from there and went to change them for new ones in the issuing department. But that was one time. Walking along the coast near other hotels, I watched as visitors cursed for sunbeds and looked for missing towels. In myself, except for the above case, I did not notice anything like that. The territory of the beach of the Robinson Hotel looks very impressive.

When meeting with the guide Mikhail, we found out that he had repeatedly written to the tour operator that tourists should not be sent here at all. Showed a dozen claims written by tourists. It was especially bad in May, even a computer was impossible to put on the table in the hall because of the dirt. Complained that the owner of the hotel is very unhappy that he writes complaints to the tour operator. But the situation cannot be corrected, because.
somewhere at the top, someone really does not want to lose touch with the hotel. The guide impressed a good guy, but we never saw him again.

Of the excursions, we chose Pamukkale and the Fires of Anatolia concert. I liked the first tour very much, but the attitude towards the guide is ambiguous. We drove on the mud in front of Pamukkale to the town with the symbolism of a rooster. I did not dare to go to the mud, but the procedures with the doctor fish were a pleasure. 10 minutes - $10 for legs and arms. Then I saw a larger container and persuaded me for $ 5 to allow me to climb there completely. I don’t know what they really did cosmetically with my body, but the process itself is pleasant. There were only 2.5 hours on Pamukkale - this, of course, is not enough for a relaxing stay there. It was especially annoying that the guide did not say for sunglasses and it was very uncomfortable for me to be there without them.

It is also not clear why the guide told us all the way that you can’t swim in the terraces and all this is only in the pictures. People swam there very much and we splashed a little, but it would be much more comfortable to go in bathing suits and dip periodically (burns are possible for those who are not yet tanned, the sun is hot, be sure to cover your head). On the way back we stopped for a wine tasting. During the tasting, the majority voted for wine made from cherries and cherries. I myself am engaged in winemaking at an amateur level and it never occurred to me to mix cherries with cherries. Impressed, we bought a set of two bottles of pomegranate wine, one cherry-cherry and one of grapes. All paid $65. Upon arrival at the hotel, we drank one of the bottles of pomegranate wine at night. We were disappointed, because the taste of the tasting and purchased was different.
Then the sellers in other stores said that in tasting houses, stickers can simply be sculpted on cheap wines. In general, look carefully if you decide to buy. Pomegranate wine, albeit of a different company, costs 10-12 dollars in the shops of the village. Cherries and cherries have not been seen anywhere else.
The trip to the concert was somehow overshadowed by the hustle and bustle of visiting the theater itself and a not very convenient bus (we bought a ticket for $ 55, others had 60, and the guide had 90). Arrived two hours before the start of the show. Everyone lined up in front of the entrance. Twenty minutes before the start, someone fussed at the beginning and the whole queue was mixed up, the fuss began. When the entrances were opened, everyone rushed to take their places. Once inside, they found that the central rows of seats in front were fenced off and the guards did not let them in. They rushed to look for other free places. We saw brochures on the chairs and thought that these were already occupied seats. They began to look for free ones.
As a result, in one store, the Russian guys explained that you need to go along the highway and on the left there will be a descent to the sea. We moved along the highway behind the Robinson Hotel, it's good that the road is being repaired and cars are driving in a different lane. We reached the branch into the forest already at dusk. The road further is unpaved, walk through the forest for about 15-20 minutes. It got dark quickly, and we walked through the forest already in the dark. At the end, we were taken by car (we did not ask, the driver stopped himself), they said that this place is mainly for fishing. There were 15-20 cars there. They offered to have a bite to eat and drink upon arrival, but we refused. They began to look in the dark for a place to change clothes for swimming. I went away from the people and almost stepped on a negro lying on the shore. Realizing that it would not be possible to retire, I changed clothes right on the shore using the logic of a baby (if I can’t see well, then no one sees me either). The wife did not dare to swim.

The practice of the swim showed that the water does not glow in any way, but there is enough garbage there and it can be seen even at night. A yacht was anchored nearby and music was heard from there, people were resting and swimming. On the way back in the forest we saw animals on the road, my wife was afraid that these dogs might attack us. But there is nothing to do, let's get closer. The flock increased to 4 rather large individuals, but when twenty meters remained before them, they disappeared into the bushes. What was my surprise when, having caught up with the place where they stood, I heard a clear oink, oink! Feverishly he began to remember what to do when meeting with wild boars, maintaining a serene appearance so as not to frighten his half. But everything worked out, we were let through. Then my wife said that her first reaction to oink was a desire to climb on my shoulders. And she was the first to remember the camera, and I even forgot about it, although it hung around my neck.
We returned to the village somewhere around midnight, went to a sweet shop, told this story to the seller (the name is URAL), he was very surprised that we decided to wander through the forest at night. I haven't heard anything about boars. He treated us to tea, nibbled on sweets, especially liked the ones made from goat's milk. He says that everything is made from natural products and not factory. On the last day, they stocked up with him for the children. Tasting at home showed that the filling of roses is only at the beginning of the roll, and then there is emptiness. But still very tasty and halva is good.

The summary of the trip is
We liked and we are satisfied with our vacation:

1. I can recommend this hotel at an affordable tour price to people who like to wander and are not very picky about food.
2. I do not recommend it to those who spend most of their time at the sea and in their room. Demanding on the quality of food.
Since the Aqua hotel closest to the sea does not differ in special comfort, dirty dishes and spoiled food really come across.

There will be specific questions about the hotel write, I will be happy to answer.
