Autumn vacation was approaching and it was decided to go to Turkey. We chose the hotel on the Internet, that is, when we went to the travel agency, we knew exactly where we were going. They chose according to the criteria: a minimum of Russians in the hotel, the presence of a green area in the hotel, a small hotel (it was desirable not to see or hear anyone) and, of course, comfort. We chose the hotel Kilikia. A flight to Turkey is generally within reach, we did not even notice how quickly we got to the hotel. The plane took off at 6-00 (operator TezTour), and at 9-40 we were already at the hotel. Only resettlement had to wait until 14-00, but during this time we had breakfast and lunch and explored the hotel and the beach. When I settled, I decided that I would not put $ 20 in my passport, although my husband insisted on it very much. And so we got the keys and went to the room. When I opened the doors, I was shocked - the room was terribly smoky and the view from the terrace was terrible - the wasteland, that is, the mountains, the sea and the pool, goodbye. I go back to reception and ask for another number. But the attendants pretend that they do not understand Russian, they begin to speak only English. But having taken away all the same ill-fated $20 (which had to be put in the passport immediately), I immediately learned Russian. I specifically asked for the room in which I wanted to live - a view of the sea and the pool, non-smoking and 5th floor. After 15 minutes we were in this room. The husband then laughed, which still turned out as he said. It turns out that the rooms in the hotel were almost all occupied, the Turks had a lot of rest - they had some kind of holiday and people came to relax for a week. Three days later the Turks left and the hotel was empty, Russian speech became audible. In general, the hotel rested mostly Germans, well, there were Russians and our Ukrainians. Rest was good. The hotel is declared as 5 (ultra all inclusive. But we didn’t use all the services. For example, the mini-bar in the room, which was replenished daily, we almost didn’t drink anything from the bar, because there are a lot of bars throughout the hotel. The main restaurant is class , the choice of dishes is very large, meat and fish dishes at lunchtime and in the evening, barbecue grilled in the evening, vegetables, fruits, pastries. . Loved the fish restaurant, Mexican - nonsense. The beach is a 2 minute walk from anywhere in the hotel. But people lay for days near the pool and swam not in the sea, but in a pool with chlorinated water - I don’t understand such a vacation, because it’s lovely to swim in the sea (the water was +25 degrees) and enjoy the sun. On the beach, as usual, sun loungers, the entrance to the sea is normal: you can go down the steps from the bridge or go from the shore, although the stones interfere a little. The beach is not very clean - gobies are lying around with cigarettes, but this is my personal opinion. There is just nothing to compare. In March, we were in Egypt in Hurghada, so there the beach was combed with a rake and there was not even a speck of dust or trash. Here on the beach they cleaned up, swept up the bridge, but if you don’t throw anything on the sand, then there will be a number. I think that this is our effort, because the elderly Germans are unlikely to do this. My husband and I rested on the beach until lunch, and after lunch we walked around the neighborhood, went to Kemer, Antalya, once went on an excursion to Demre / Mir. In general, I liked the tour, but in Turkey, moving is hard to bear because of the sharp turns on the road (this is worse than in Crimea0. The city of Kemer reminded Yalta, a resort town - people walk and relax. We went to Antalya for the so-called shopping, which was provided by a tour operator for free. We decided - if they are being transported for free, then why not ride. Ride on shopping centers - leather, jewelry, souvenir, textile. I liked the leather center - chic, but the prices are sky-high (like in our boutiques). The jewelry center is a trade in exclusive jewelry, almost all with diamonds. It was like visiting a museum - there are no buyers, only sellers in tailcoats. In general, shopping turned out to be a shopping trip. Turkish products may not be cheaper in resort towns, but in Antalya we decided that everything is expensive (as for Ukrainian tourists). We bought souvenirs for home on the street near the hotel (shops are represented by a large territory), we also bought Turkish delight (delicious) and huge pomegranate fruits (October is the season for harvesting pomegranates, and the symbol of Kemer is pomegranate). I liked the rest, rested, sunbathed, ate goodies. Only it seems to me that Egypt was more exotic - sand, palm trees, Africa. And the nature of Turkey is similar to Crimea. And the Mediterranean Sea is not as beautiful as the Red Sea. While snorkeling on the beach there are a lot of fish, but there is no such beauty as in Egypt - corals and colored fish. All the same, the rest is super - summer in October is a class. But in March we will still go to Egypt if the financial crisis does not completely ruin what we have managed to achieve.
