We rested with a girlfriend from 09/07/13 to 09/18/13, in MATIATE HOTEL ****, everything suited us.
We are not the first time in Turkey and have something to compare.
Everything in detail:
When we arrived in Turkey, we found the “Tezturovites”, the bus was completed very quickly and we drove to the hotel in about 1.5 hours with all the “deliveries” to the hotels. The guide took us to the reception. We settled in literally in 5-10 minutes, we got room 119 with a view of the pool, mountains and the surrounding area. In the evening there was a meeting with the hotel guide, who briefly and to the point introduced us to the necessary and useful information, did not say much, what we need to know, we really liked it !!!
The Hotel itself is located on the main street, but this is not to be feared, and in this I consider only an advantage. The beach is close enough and you need to walk no more than 200 meters. There were enough sun loungers everywhere: on the beach, near 2 pools. No one was sunbathing while standing. . . On the beach itself there is a bar that has: coffee, water, drinks like "yuppies", there is no alcohol there.
The hotel has 1 restaurant part indoors and you can go outside and sit at the tables near the pool. Drinks: Beer, Gin, fanta, sprite, cola, mineral water, cooler water, coffee, tea. We drank mostly beer, they have it delicious.
The food was average, we had enough! Vegetables, greens, salads, chicken, fish. Of the fruits, mostly watermelons, less often there were plums, apples.
The hotel has 3 animators. The animation is very weak, there are no club (hotel) dances.
We bought excursions not from a guide, but outside the hotel. Just walked a couple of meters from the hotel. I was very lucky on the second day of my stay to go to the Silver group with Lena from the tour. Agencies "HAY TOUR" to the KRISTALL club and all other excursions bought from them and never regretted it. Everything is much cheaper than the guides offer, and if you take several excursions, then 1 excursion is free (we had a trip on a yacht). So, we went: Kekova-Mira-Church of St. Nicholas in Demre. A very interesting excursion for almost the whole day, I advise. Then to the cable car in Tahtali to Mount Olympos. Very impressive.
Although the hotel is not party-oriented, our vacation turned out to be interesting, good, varied. The location of the hotel is convenient. The hotel staff is friendly to everyone.
We didn’t stay at the hotel all the time, and we used to organize our own rest: we constantly went on excursions, then to a disco, then to smoke a hookah... in short, we had a good time and everything suited us perfectly. The hotel, of course, somewhere falls short of 4 * in our understanding, but in that region, it is not the worst, believe me.
After all, the main thing is to go on vacation with a positive, and not to look for some flaws and shortcomings.
