The holiday was planned for March. We liked the climate near Kemer in 2010, so we were looking for it near it.
Our selection criteria:
1. Sea + presence of a pier.
2. Nutrition.
3. Staff attitude.
4. Infrastructure (territory, fitness equipment, table tennis, internet).
For clarity, I will try to compare 2 hotels: Queen Elizabeth Hotel 5 * (beginning of September 2010.2 people) and Sailor's Beach Club 4 * (beginning of June 2013.3 people). They are located in different directions from Kemer, 7-11 km, i. е. the climate and the state of the sea are almost the same, the time - the end and the beginning of the season, are also more or less comparable. Further hotels I will call "Queen" and "Sailors". Prices at the time of purchase of the tour (end of March, 3 people) were the same in both hotels.

1. The piers were available for both, + Queen in that they had sun loungers with umbrellas on the pier. The beaches are equally comfortable, with sunbeds and awnings. Bold + Sailors - beach on line 1, in Queen - line 2. Snack bars on the beach are available for both. (True, last year, near or on the beach of Queen, the neighboring Cilicia Palace built a new building like... ).
2. Never got hurt anywhere. Personal opinion - the food in Sailors is much better: more varied, more choice, more meat dishes and grill. For some reason, Quinn was remembered for "mountains" of half-eaten food on plates, and not only CIS tourists sinned with this. At first I could not understand - have the morals of people changed so much in 3 years? Then I realized - the waiters in Sailors worked so quickly that there were no plates left at the tables (in Queen, alas, on the contrary - it was striking). But even when I specially observed it a couple of times - far from always empty plates, but precisely "mountains" - I never saw it. From what I liked: in Queen I remembered delicious hot peppers, in Sailors - ayran and yogurts, my wife and daughter praised hamburgers from the snack bar.
Alcohol: beer is not bad here and there. In Queen, bartenders prepared good cocktails even from local ingredients, in Sailors - only Turkish bulk alcohol, cocktails - from 10 dead raccoons. I stopped at the local whiskey - it is undiluted with a strength of about 27 gr. + mojito and dutik bacardi. Even in the pool bar there was a good wine drink such as a crunch or sangria - with ice and pieces of fruit.
3. I really liked the team of staff at Sailors - you can feel the cohesion of work and the result is obvious: when at 3 am on Sunday (the transfer was at 3.40) they went to the sea to throw coins, they looked at us in surprise - a lawn sprinkler, a pool cleaner, a waiter in a restaurant, and, seems to be the owner of the establishment at the exit of their reception. (By the way, they didn’t get to the sea - it turns out that the border of the territory is locked at night). Quinn was remembered for his leisurely waiters and for a day and a half "beating" the power cord for a laptop at the reception. There were no special complaints about cleaning in any hotel, requests were fulfilled.
No money was given at check-in, the rooms were normal in both, tips were left daily in both.

We adhered to the rule - “As it comes around, it will respond” in communication with both the staff and other tourists, there were no problems.
4. Territory Queen - a ship-hotel and a huge pool near it. Greenery - a few palm trees by the pool and about a dozen trees and bushes along the fence, i. e. greenery was not very part of the designers' intention. Sailors - on the contrary, with a smaller area, it is simply buried in greenery - it is very cozy. Rooms - Queen is newer and you can feel it: we had a large two-room suite (for two) with new furniture, internet in the room, and a balcony. In Sailors - a standard room with a double bed and a single bed next to each other, a balcony. Mini fridges and safes in both hotels. Differences - Sailors safe is paid (did not use, bought locks for suitcases, there were no losses). In Queen, 1 bottle of 0.33 beer and 1 0.25 pack of juice per person, and, it seems, a bottle of water were put in the refrigerator daily, in Sailors - only water.
Sailors Internet - only at the reception and not easy (the smartphone was connected to Wi-Fi, and the daughter's laptop lost the network immediately after connecting). In Queen - wi-fi at the reception and wired in the rooms, but power cords were in short supply.
Exercise machines and tennis are about the same. In Sailors 1 was broken, in Queen - 3.
Tennis rackets were killed everywhere (I took a simple one with me, guys from Russia bought a set in a hotel store for 8 ye).

Animation was not particularly interested, but the impressions remained. We did not look for her in Queen and practically did not notice her. In addition to 3 moments - the Turkish night (performance, not bad), Ramadan Bayram - was celebrated with an exhibition of ice sculptures and skillful carving of vegetables (very beautiful), treats with sweets, and a young animator - a Turk who conducted animation by the pool with the inclusion of Russian expressions "on the verge of foul. " It is simply impossible not to notice the animation team in Sailors, the guys are just great. In the reviews of different hotels, many complain about the repetition and monotony (after a week of rest) of animation, without thinking - HOW to make it available in 3-4 languages u200bu200bat the same time (Turkish, Russian, German, English)? And this is not counting the fact that Italians, Slovaks, Poles, etc. were with us. The Turkish night in Sailors was interactive - with the involvement of vacationers. I didn’t ask Dima (Russia, the city forgot) whether they agreed with him in advance, but the belly dance with his participation made a splash ! ! During the day - games, aqua aerobics, shaping, volleyball and a bunch of everything else - and this is practically only for adults. What the little children were doing - I won’t say, but they were busy - for sure.
Bottom line: in all respects, we rated Sailors higher than homemade or something. But the fact that the hotel is for families with children or pensioners (not youth) is 100% true.
Z. Y. Our main mistake was that we went for 7 nights - it takes a couple of days just for acclimatization, we needed at least 10. But this is already a matter of time and financial resources.
Have a nice holiday!
