Cozy, but the cook must be killed!

We stayed at this wonderful hotel in August 2008. Overall impressions are good. The service, as for a hotel of this level, is traditional: they clean and change linen every two days. True, the girls who lived on our floor swore and swore that their room was cleaned in a rather peculiar way: they changed linen from one bed to another. They even specially marked with a marker and found their marks. I can’t comment on anything here, I didn’t have such problems - they seemed to clean up in good faith. Maybe someone will be lucky. At the same time, he did not spoil the maids with tips.
The location of the hotel is quite convenient. Not the first line, of course, but it's about seven minutes to go to the beach - first near the shops, then near the park with ducks and swans. In general, we put a plus.
The only, but very greasy minus is the local feeding. Since "tasty - not tasty" is a subjective concept, let's dwell on this point in more detail. So breakfast: three types of smoked (! ) olives, cheese like cheese, watery greenhouse tomatoes, coffee, tea, jam, musli and SAUSAGES. Sorry, we haven't been selling sausages like this for ten or fifteen years (I remember they were brought in the 90s, at the height of the crisis): from incomprehensible ingredients, bright red, with a terrible smell. It was impossible to eat them and even stand next to them. I remember a cool scene: a young, athletic man hopefully sticks a fork into a tray of sausages and turns to his companion - "Do sausages seem to be a little better today? . . ". She looks squeamishly and replies: "Hope, hope... I have the most accurate indicator here - cats. Since they don't eat, I definitely won't. "

Cats never eat these sausages. But cooks are cunning people. And the same masterpieces of meat waste for dinner were found: 1) in the soup (giving this tasteless liquid a slight nauseating smell) 2) in the salad (there are many options: "greens plus chopped sausages", "cabbage with sour cream plus sausages"). If the people are borzel and not braz, salads with morning sausages were waiting for everyone in the evening.
As for salads, local chefs are simply "virtuosos". From the reviews at the neighboring tables - "Probably studied in Paris, bastards! ". So pick up incongruous products, it must be able to. For example, cabbage and a lot of sour cream, boiled vegetables and a nasty, "artificial" sauce. I have been to Turkey and know their cuisine a little, so I can say that this is not Turkish cuisine, (it is the third in the world, by the way) it is just a mockery of the products. Boiled beans were given here for several days in different variations, in the last it was completely sour.
Grilled minced meat was given from meat dishes (do not think that kebap, kebap is a very tasty thing! ). In Shefikbey, they fried some of the cheapest boiled minced meat (I also remember that they sold such a muck in the 90s. It was very cheap, and pet owners were happy to take it). Burnt on the fire, this stuffing also exuded a very rare smell.
From fruits they gave melons and watermelons. The watermelons were delicious. But the dessert was approached with the same creativity. Let's say cookies are served today. They didn’t eat it, bastard! . . Well, tomorrow we’ll fill this cookie with cheap jelly. They don’t eat again! . . Ok, the day after tomorrow we’ll grind everything, add cinnamon - and you, vacationing citizens, will have a purely local delicacy. We will delicately keep silent about Turkish baklava, Turkish delights and sherbets, which are sold on every corner near the hotel.
Of the benefits: twice in 2 weeks they gave fried fish and once - grilled chicken. Once again we were treated to grilled potatoes. It was delicious. But the cooks are also not fools, and they served such dishes themselves, in limited quantities - one fish and 3 small potatoes each. "Catch up" was offered with "sausage" variations.

And one more "kitchen" touch. One Monday morning, I spilled some coffee near our table. So: back on Wednesday evening, I could see this trace of my own negligence. On Thursday, they washed the floor.
Hence, the CONCLUSION: the hotel itself is not bad, it is inexpensive. Just when buying a ticket there, you need to keep in mind - this is not an all-inclusive, but a hotel without meals. Set yourself up for this. Therefore, the cost of food should be added to the price, about 10-15 dollars for lunch in inexpensive local locations. If the received suits you, you will be satisfied with the rest, no - look for other options. For example, we ate outside the hotel. The majority did the same.
