My husband and I went abroad for the first time on vacation. The choice fell on Turkey. I chose the area of ​ ​ Kemer because of its mountainous terrain. Although later I found out that there are mountains not only in Kemer ((We flew with Pegasus. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were put in a room on the 5th floor with access to the pool. No money was put in the passport. But immediately the mood was spoiled by the impudence of the Turkish porter. Not only did he, showing how the safe in the room works, closed it and could not open it himself. At the same time, he promised that he would come later with the key. He also lifted 1 suitcase to the room for us, and when we tried to explain to him that we would give a "tip" later (because there were no small bills), but he categorically did not want to leave, promising to give change. But from $ 100 he gave us 98, although he did not deserve $ 2. The husband demanded another $1, but he turned around and walked out with an angry face. Naturally, no one came to open the safe for us. I miraculously managed to open it myself.
Then we screwed up, taking excursions from the hotel guide. PEOPLE!!! ! DO NOT believe them when they say that: "Tomorrow is the last day of this excursion! " or "hammam in the city is much worse than at the hotel" or "only now discount for this tour! ". There are local tour companies across the road where prices are 40-50% cheaper. And the service is no better. Although, when we went to Pamukalle, the Pegasus guide (Turkish) at the entrance told us about all the memorable places and historical objects and... dumped him in an unknown direction. And our whole group dispersed, left to itself. Although the guides were everywhere with other groups, and they told a lot of interesting things about certain historical monuments. We even sometimes joined them to listen))).
There is also such a joke - in buses and minibuses, somewhere near the driver there is a treasured chest (jar, box, casket, etc. ), where the same guides simply obsessively ask to put a tip. But most of all, we were infuriated that, having taken an excursion to some historical or other place, you will definitely be taken in circles almost all over Turkey to all sorts of textile centers, fur and leather shops, jewelry stores, wineries, confectionery factories. Oooh, how tiring!! ! Especially if you did not plan to buy anything there, and the prices are much higher than in the same stores near the hotel.

Another nuance: for lovers of a quiet, secluded holiday, I do not recommend settling in a building, but rather a villa (across the road. Although you have to go to a restaurant). Very annoying loud music from the disco, which plays up to an hour or 2. Soundproofing is not very good at the balconies.
And I was also stressed by a large number of people in the hotel. For breakfast, you can already find all the tables occupied (the hall on the street does not work in the morning) and empty baking sheets. And on the beach after 9-00 there will be nowhere to lie down, the sun loungers are also busy. Children in the restaurant run, play, fall, someone yells, parents yell at someone - in general, a nightmare !! ! It is impossible to eat in peace. It's kinda tight everywhere. . .
As for the food - everything is fresh, tasty, but monotonous. There were no fish or seafood at all. There is a diet table. Lots of vegetables, salads, chicken meat, grill and barbecue outside. A lot of fruits - oranges, strawberries, apples, grapes, peaches, watermelons and so on.
The room is cleaned and towels are changed every day. Deservedly left on the last day $ 1. Air conditioning, TV, hair dryer in the bathroom, phone always worked.
In general, if not to find fault, we were satisfied. The main thing is not to pay attention to the little things, enjoy the rest, the sea, the sun. And allocate only the best!! !
