Hotel Solim, Kemer - Kiris.
A fairy tale that has become a reality; excellent in price-quality; comfortable; excellent nutrition; picturesque; quiet; for a healthy holiday.
For swimmers, not for party people.
Are you afraid that for intensive swimming (+ sex? ) you will not have enough calories - proteins - fats - carbohydrates? Do not be afraid, in Solim it does not threaten you! They will feed you deliciously and satiety, gain strength and energy!
Details are below.
Were alone with my wife at the end of the season: end of October 2009; from Nevatravel. ru, 16.000 rubles per person with flight insurance for 13 days. The hotel was chosen based on the reviews, and they did not disappoint!
The hotel is 400m from its own sandy-pebble beach (about it - below). Walking up to it is a pleasure.

Picturesque 4-storey building in a Mediterranean style, free from bad taste and frills. Sunny corridors and stairs in the form of a gallery surrounding the patio. The rooms are almost all located on the outside of the building (the sounds in the courtyard do not interfere). In any direction, mountains overgrown with forests are visible. A front garden, a fence entwined with greenery. West and North are better than the South side (quieter).
A small closed courtyard with a magnificent pool of elegant shape, having a variable depth of 1.35-1.65 (marked at the sides), with a paddling pool for kids, with a mini-beach, an outdoor dining-arbor and a dining-building, a bar, a gazebo for table tennis and a gazebo for kids.
The courtyard is a magnificent little park, full of flowers and a wide variety of tropical plants, specially cultivated, creating a feeling of warmth, south and contrasting with the pine trees endemic to Kemer.
In this area - free WiFi, you need to get the password from the receptionist.
All rooms have a fairly large balcony, approximately 2.25-2.5 m / sq. Spacious, approximately 15-16 m / kV + entrance hall and bathroom. Floor - tiled (Do you really need carpets on the floor in a hot climate? )
Simple comfortable and beautifully veneered furniture. Each room has an excellent bed, bedside tables, a desk, a wardrobe; on the balcony - plastic chairs. Air conditioning (controlled from the room), LCD TV (4 Russian channels), refrigerator, hair dryer; safe is paid (dollar per day). Bathroom with shower. Clean, cleaned and linen changed regularly. We got into the habit of leaving tips for the maid (just for decency, not profit), so we changed not only towels, but also bed linen every day, although we didn’t ask, but explain to the cleaning lady, the only person in the hotel who does not speak Russian - no could.
The food is excellent. Heard and read reviews about many other Turkish hotels - "meat twice a week, no fruit. " In Solim for 13 days, 37 meals, only 2-3 times there was not enough meat or poultry for lunch and dinner. Let not always a piece, but in the form of a delicious azu, minced meat or meatballs, but - satiety. The signature feature is meat for dinner, fried on a brazier on the street.
Of course, all kinds of salads and greens in variety and abundance.

For breakfast: cheese and suluguni, cottage cheese, yogurt or milk; boiled eggs; two varieties of simple sausage; 8 types of muesli; 6 types of jam.
They gave little fruit, only apples, but, again, a branded "trick": for lunch and dinner, 4-6 types of excellent variety of pastries, cakes, jelly, mousses.
There was enough food for everyone, more was laid out for those who were late.
Coffee, tea, juices, drinking water in the cooler - almost at any time of the day.
Just, as in other hotels in Turkey, do not count on a plentiful "free" drink. And don't blame the hotels. Due to national political and cultural traditions, a state monopoly and a rather high minimum and wholesale price have been established for alcoholic beverages, including local production. It is she, and not the cost, that determines the high cost of even local drinks. And the owners are trying to save money. Plus, there is also a convenient excuse: they are afraid of the behavior of drunks. And they are not afraid for themselves, but for the peace of other vacationers and the reputation of the hotel.
I thought about how much I paid for the tickets. With this modest money, they placed and served and fed. And something else to drink. Local wine of disgusting quality. Vodka, gin - decent (if they are not diluted), but they will pour 15 grams at the most, and more - the bartenders will pretend to be deaf and forgetting all languages. Realistically count on a couple of 150g. glasses of good local beer. The rest, if you want - take it with you or buy it.
Hotel Solim - "Russian", I saw only a few Balts. The entire staff is energetic, friendly, efficient. Everyone in Kemer speaks at least a little Russian.
The guests are well behaved. The maximum inconvenience - perhaps from the manner of some people talking loudly.
The hotel is "quiet", 80 rooms, animation alternately in Solim and neighboring Solim Inn belonging to the same owner. Music - not very loud, tolerable in quality, in the evening and not until late.

There are no water slides, exercise equipment and sports and children's playgrounds in the hotel (only gazebos): a small area and the desire to maintain a certain style interfere, and therefore 3 stars. But you're going to the sea!
Everything about the hotel. Now about the beach and Kemer.
Own, shared with the Blue Sky hotel, free awnings, sunbeds, mattresses. Enough space. There is a water closet (you can change clothes in it) and a freshwater shower.
Nearby is the beach of the "German" hotel Sailors Beach Club. They will not allow you to stay there, but you can jump into the water from a 2-meter pier or climb a ladder out of the water. Near the Diving Center, you can scuba dive for a fee, ride a jet ski or "banana".
I highly recommend parasailing!
Don't be sorry, plan to fork out $75 (oh, alas, not cheap! ) and fly over the sea on a kite - a parachute towed by a boat. Look after others, you will see that this is organized by masters of their craft, no more difficult and no more dangerous than a flight on a liner, but impressions, sensations, memories, photographs... it's worth the money, we live together!
Like all the beaches of Kemer and most of the beaches of the Antalya coast, it is "sand and pebble".
In practice, this means that farther into the coast, either sand, or very small pebbles, but the closer to the water, the larger the stones, and under water in the shallow water zone - only round-rolled cobblestones of sizes from a child's to a man's fist are held by the surf on which it is difficult and painful to walk. The bottom is rapidly deepening. Going ashore, you have to stumble and slide, climb a 30-degree slope.
The depth is growing rapidly: 4-5 meters from the shore - already "with handles". So the beach is not suitable for non-swimmers!! ! It is quite inconvenient for those who like to splash in shallow water.
But the water is crystal clear. You are not at risk of injury from tripping or hitting any rock ledges or concrete slabs. Even in a storm, a swimmer is safe on such a beach. You don't have to wade to the buoys knee-deep in water and splash in a weak solution of water in the urine, flounder in the sandy murk, as on beaches like the Riga Seaside. The beach is for swimmers!

In the water illuminated by the sun, you can see whole flocks of fish, see every pebble at a depth of many meters under water. So grab your mask, snorkel, underwater photography box, fishing rod!
About Kemer: there is no such city. There is a group of 7 resort villages administratively united under this name. Zone of cheap hotels (fashionable - on the Aegean Sea, to the west). Kiris - 7 km. South of Kemer proper. There are minibuses - dolmushi. Antalya is about 40 km away.
In "Kemer" - pleasure and passenger coastal vessels. In Kiris there are many piers, but there are no stops.
Shopping is limited and not cheap. Attractions - only on excursions. Take in street travel agencies. It is 2 times cheaper than from Russian agencies and the guides are more qualified, and the trips to shopping centers are less burdensome. The best of the nearest is an excursion to Mira - Kekova.
To the west of Kemer there are mountains covered with pine forests. The sun hides behind them quite early. Cooler than in other parts of the coast (in summer, in the heat, this is not bad! )
Bad: humidity 80%, in the cool part of the season, clothes do not dry, there are mosquitoes. In October: we bought a "raptor" in a pharmacy - an evaporator for 14 bucks, slept with an open window - mosquitoes stopped touching.
To the attention of young women who arrived without male fellow travelers or companions! As elsewhere in Turkey, you are guaranteed the intrusive attention of local jigits, both sexually horny amateur womanizers and professional pimps. They will not be allowed into the hotel doorstep. During the day, violence does not threaten on the street and on the beach. But conversations - persuasion, attempts to flatter and promise mountains of gold, hang noodles on your ears - are guaranteed.
Conclusion - if you like to swim, love peace, go with your family, from June to September: not bad in Kemer - Kirish. In my opinion, it is worth staying in Solim. Comfort, good food, inexpensive. You swim badly - there is a pool.
