If briefly about Sumela, then they had either utility rooms there, or an elevator shaft, which they converted into rooms (there are 6 such numbers for the whole hotel - so it’s doubly a shame to get such a room for your very, very rather big ones (for which special thanks to the almost double cheat from Karya Tour - I went on holidays, so I received about 200 bucks of commission from the tour operator.
Inside - nothing, a normal room, but tiny - 8 meters room plus 3 meters bathroom and an even smaller corridor. That's just the window overlooking the corridor - no light, no air, no bathing towel to dry. At the request to transfer to another room, supported by 10 euros, they took the money, said thank you and that they could not help, the hotel was full. The guide of the Idletail tour (the host of Karya) pretended not to know anything about the availability of such numbers and in general, refused to go to see it for 20 minutes, arguing that it was forbidden for guides to walk around the territory (! ). He was dragged further than the hotel lobby only for the fifth time by asking him to take off his guide badge and introduce himself as my guest. It turned out that you can walk like that (! ). After that, "for the sake of appearances, " he spoke at the reception, and said that there were no places.
Actually there were double seats. In which, despite the fact that I paid for a single (i. e. , the revenue received by the hotel for the accommodation of the second person), they refused to accommodate me. After all, I did not pay for the second person for food! Moreover, there were even single rooms on the same day - only you need to pay for accommodation in them in full in cash (from 60 to 100 dollars per day - I talked with one vacationer who paid 100 dollars per day... he arrived at 5 * with 2 days late, and there were no rooms there either. In Sumel, until they raised the price to $ 100, they answered that there were no rooms, and then they suddenly found... ).

As for the claims against the tour operator Karya and their host IdlTale Tour - the complete indifference of the guides coupled with an unfading desire to foist some kind of excursion, confirmation of the hotel less than a day before departure, knowing that the hotel does not have rooms and unwillingness to somehow resolve the situation on the client side. I did not even consider it necessary to inform you what is included in the AL at the hotel, and what is paid extra. Yes, and just the absence of this very guide in the hotel: on all current issues, I had to communicate with the boy from Tez-Tour (by the way, a separate respect to him for his patience).
By hotel. 2 people speak Russian (fluently, the rest - a set of words and a very mediocre understanding from 4 times), in English - no one (! ). In the morning and evening, it is impossible to explain. And this is despite the fact that there are only (! ) representatives of the CIS in the hotel - in addition to Ukraine - Russia, many from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Disregard for tourists in all respects (starting with a request for a xeroxed meal schedule - they told me to come to the reception to look, and on the third day of my stay they just shifted meals for half an hour - without warning. For example, I was left without lunch, because they simply didn’t let me into the restaurant with a delay of 5 minutes; when asked where to get a spoon, after the 5th question to the waiters (different. They look at you with empty eyes, turn away, and go about their business) our tourist answered, and about how to use the coffee maker after a similar "procedure" was also told by ours. they cooked frankly disgusting.
About all sorts of other little things, such as a rope thrown on the bed (she asked me to let it dry so that the swimsuit could dry; the nail where to hang this very rope was not driven in) and the unrepaired drain in the shower (in the absence of fresh air, water was poured onto the floor every time I took a shower about 2 cm) and other things, and I will not say. The last goodbye joke - they simply didn’t wake me up for the transfer to the airport (no, I was not late, although I could, because the wake-up order was issued in accordance with all the rules with me), but when I came into the hall with my bag, it turned out that the reception ( two non-Russian and non-English speaking employees) are watching the series. And they were all so scrapped that not only no one was going to wake anyone up, but they didn’t even go to take the number. They just took the key (or rather, I strongly gave it to them, because the key was taken away as scrap).
Oh yes, and a juicy detail: the laundry is washed in such a way that it is not just gray, but also smells bad. For me, for example, since I had a single, I could choose between towels that stink of old male sweat and female perfume, well, various mixtures of these two main components...

I also forgot to say that they start heating the water from 15-00 and somewhere until 10 pm. Those. you can still wash yourself at 3 a. m. with not hot, but still warm water, but take a shower in the morning or in the morning - only very, very refreshing water (it is slightly less cold than from a cold tap, but even for the name "summer" too cold).
And the beach is not pebbly, but cobblestone - in principle, adults and swimming children don’t care (2 ladders on the pier), but children who can’t swim run to buy rubber slippers and somehow on all fours they climb into the sea...
At the same time, the territory of the hotel is beautiful and well-groomed. Well, you can’t spoil the sea with a hotel - it is the same for everyone.
