After going through all the reviews about hotels in Kemer, we chose Viking Star - there were almost no negative ones about him. In addition, the hotel turned out to be not very popular with Russians (this is somehow connected with its belonging to the Sandinavian chain, it seems). It’s not that we don’t like our compatriots, but we didn’t want to see the classic “drunk Russians in Turkey” nearby. Looking ahead, I will say that the Germans are very close to this image.
The hotel is located in the very center of the city, which has both pros and cons: there are shops nearby, a stunning landscape opens up (mountains and tangerine groves), but at the same time you always hear the call to prayer from the mosque within walking distance. Starting from 5 am. It didn’t really spoil the mood - it even added color) Before checking in, I read that supposedly Russians are always settled in rooms with a view of the parking lot. The reception turned out to be quite adequate and polite people . . who sent us to a room overlooking the parking lot)) I don’t think this is some kind of conspiracy, and yet) However, I repeat, the mountains are everywhere, they can be seen even from the hotel pool. By the way, the weekly market is located just at this parking lot, which is very convenient. Viking Star really does not have green territory, but the building itself is cozy and spacious at the same time. The cuisine is excellent: varied, interesting, tasty. I will note the soups - just excellent! Yes, and breakfasts with jams from roses, figs, grapes, etc. will be remembered for a long time. And between lunch and dinner near the pool, a Turkish grandmother bakes wonderful cakes. If you are used to animation, here it is weak, but you will definitely find something to do: a gym, a spa, an indoor pool, etc. , everything is up to the mark. The staff is friendly, no complaints about cleaning. Actually, to the rooms too: there is no touch of antiquity) Remember that since the hotel is not on the first line, you will have to ride a minibus from the hotel to the beaches, pebble and sand, every 30 minutes. The first beach is closer, you can walk on foot, but the second one is better by transport: +46 during the day can be dangerous. By the way, it happens that everyone who wants to get into this minibus does not fit and has to wait another half an hour for the next one. And yet it's worth it, the places there are simply magnificent! In general, I can safely recommend this hotel for a good holiday.
