Before that, we were in Egypt at 5 *, my wife went to Turkey at 4 *. Therefore, the experience of travel is not so hot, but at the very least it was something to compare with.

I will try to describe everything more or less in detail, so that people who take a tour to this hotel think well. I’ll make a reservation right away that my wife and I were let down by a craving for free (that is, cheap) cheese, which, it is known where it happens, namely: the tour was taken in Sunrise under the Fortune program. This means that tourists only know the category of the hotel and the area in which they will be staying. Directly the hotel is indicated to them upon arrival in Turkey. Advantages of "Fortuna" in a lower price.

When selling this service, Sunrise representatives swore that with significant savings we would lose practically nothing, because knowing the star rating of the hotel (and we took 4 *) you can be sure that at least there will be decent food, a private beach (or rented by the hotel, without tension for tourists) and the standard set of services necessary for 4 *, that is, the level of service corresponding to the specified star category. Representatives of Sunrise even expressed the opinion that it does not always make sense to take a 5-ku, because Turkey is not Europe for you and you often cannot find a significant difference between 4 and 5.

Here it should be noted that the tales of the tour operator did not have such an impact on a sound assessment of the situation that, relying only on them, to buy at random a ticket to an incomprehensible hotel.
The fact is that last year, the wife almost the same, the day before departure, bought a last-minute tour to the last thing left - to the Festival Tekirova hotel, which is in the suburbs of Kemer. The specified hotel is also 4 *, but the wife was simply delighted with it (especially considering the very inexpensive price). Focusing on her impressions, we decided to take a chance, since there were no more places in the Festival.
It turned out that in vain. That's really really, four to four strife, and even what.

Now about the hotel itself.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Kemer. The city center is about a kilometer away. Two kilometers to the sea, that is, about 20 minutes on foot. This is if you decide to go to the beach, which is "rented by the hotel" (as I was told at the reception).
I forgot to say that for some reason tourists pay for the beach that “rents the hotel” - two dollars per sun lounger, or rather, two dollars per person for using the beach, because the attempts of tourists not to take a sunbed (well, not everyone wants pay, even if two dollars, and this can be understood) and use the specified beach for free, they meet the valiant rebuff of our Turkish brothers, up to the police: people are forced to pay or driven out to the city (public) beach, which is still a 15-minute walk from the paid (thus , from the hotel to the free city beach about 30-35 minutes walk, given that there is nothing on the free beach).

The bus to the beach from the hotel goes twice a day - at 9.30 and at 14.00. At 12.00 and at 16.00. the bus comes to the beach and takes those who wish back. At any other time - you are welcome to stretch your legs. What did you think? The language does not dare to call it the second line, rather the 22nd.

The bus is free if you pay $2 for the beach. Beach workers do not like to give tickets (tickets), up to swearing, and the bus driver may ask you to present this ticket as confirming the right to free travel to the beach and back (but most often they don’t ask). The very fact of freezing money by Turkish brothers in mind is annoying. It's clear why they don't like to issue tickets - it's easier to waste money on yourself.
Beach towels are paid - $ 2 per day. On the first day we bought two towels for 10 bucks and did not bathe.
The territory of the hotel is small, in general, quite neat and well-groomed. I didn’t really like that the pool is located close to the main (and only) restaurant - if someone swims or plays a ball on the water, splashes, balls and other joys fly into the people sitting at the tables.

there are no joys in the form of a la carte. There is also only one bar, it works either from 10.30, or from 11.00, but the bartender is often not on site. The bartender pours not only alcoholic drinks, but also mineral water, Pepsi, Fanta, so if he is not there, you can’t even drink water. The bar does not give more than one order (this applies to alcoholic beverages, including beer) per person - for example, a tourist comes up to the bar and says “two beers”, and he responds with “one person, one beer”. He has to drag his girlfriend / friend to the bar to prove that he is not going to muffle beer in one mug, but only shows proper respect to his interlocutor, taking care of the drink for him / her too.
The meaning of such a restriction is not very clear, because even if the same tourist comes up in a minute and orders another beer, the bartender will not be able to refuse him (he will not find out whether he drank so quickly or took it away to a friend), and since the hotel serves AI, the differences there is none - they would have poured as much as they ask, what a waste. Who needs it will come five times.


The food is bad. The breakfasts are just awful. There was nothing to eat at all for breakfast, I’ll post a photo later (I took it on purpose). Every day for breakfast there were boiled eggs, raw tomatoes with cucumbers, olives, corn flakes, inferior cheese. All! Honestly, I didn’t forget anything - I listed everything, and it was every day, and once there weren’t even eggs! Sausage is all soy. Chicken was sometimes given for lunch and dinner (not every day). There was fish once during the week of stay. There was nothing else besides chicken meat. Soy patties (terrible in taste) do not count. Food selection is mediocre.
Almost everything is repeated (6 days in a row potatoes were the main side dish). True, from what was prepared, it was more or less tolerable. But the chicken was very tired during the rest (since there was no other meat, I had to eat only it). I wanted at least sausages (I didn’t even dream of beef-pork) - there wasn’t even a hint (again, not counting soy rubbish).
Milk was diluted with water in the morning (it was felt to the taste). Often there was no milk and we had to wait for it to be brought for 10-15 minutes. If one of the dishes ended during lunch or dinner (for example, chicken), it might not be replenished - that is, whoever took it, well done, and whoever did not have time, he was late.

From fruits - only watermelons and plums. Dessert selection is poor. Zero pastries (no pies, donuts, etc. ). Cherries, melons, grapes, peaches - they bought for their hard-earned money in the shops of Kemer; never had one in the hotel.
The good tradition of Yuppy and Invite under the proud sign of "juice" is fully respected by the hotel.

Animation is so-so, though the Turkish animator is cool. More, in general, there is nothing to say. The DJ is average, he thought of putting a quiet lounge for lunch and dinner, but the rest of the time Turkish popsyatina played (I don’t know about you, but I don’t really).

Of the free services - ping-pong, Finnish sauna, fitness (sauna and fitness in the basement; there is also a Turkish bath and massage for money).

The room was not cleaned for 4 days in a row after check-in, then it turned out that the rooms were not cleaned in the morning (when we were not there), but from 12 o'clock (when all decent people rest after dinner), not only if they hear (know, smell) that there are tenants in the room, they don’t enter it (they didn’t even knock on us - apparently they were so afraid to disturb our peace) and, accordingly, on this day (apparently) they don’t return. On the 4th day, I called the reception and asked in plain text to clean the room.

I had to call three times, the next (5th day) we were cleaned. The linen was not changed, I had to call housekeeping again and ask to change the linen (by default, they apparently do not do this).

The safe in the room is paid, there is no safe at the reception. True, nothing was stolen from us, so the safe may not be particularly needed (however, this is how you look).

The rooms themselves are good. The rooms are, perhaps, the only thing that corresponds to the 4 * category declared by the hotel. They are quite new (although not very large), cozy and generally delightful.

The staff at the hotel is mostly friendly, polite, though not everyone speaks Russian, but everyone knows a few words in English. A Russian girl works at the reception (namely, Russian, that is, not just somehow Russian-speaking) - friendly, polite, in general, no complaints, well done.
She tried her best to solve problems (including using the beach, when we tried to get the opportunity not to use sun loungers and not pay for them), but it is obvious that the settlement of the situation did not depend on her - this is the policy of the hotel: the beach is rented, tourists pay. In order not to create a false opinion that I am guided by Krakhobor motives, I will make a reservation that two dollars a day per person is not God knows what kind of money for me - it’s different: it’s annoying that for the same money the three-star Olimpus in Kemer is located 50 meters from my own beach!

Well, okay, the hotel is far away - a minus, but you can think of something: let, for example, every 10-15 minutes a free bus for tourists so that they don’t spank for half an hour in the heat. Is it really that expensive? There is no beach of its own - rent, but not at the expense of tourists, namely rent.
In general, even such measures would help earn the hotel a much higher rating and increase its attractiveness for tourists. And the fact that now is by no means 4 *. Three, and not the best.


Due to the fact that the hotel is apparently quite cheap, among the tourists, in addition to the Russians, there were the Turks themselves, and towards the end of the holiday, their number increased noticeably. In general, I don’t care, but to be honest, some of them are noisy. They constantly shouted something, crowded around the bar, in general, they expressed their joy, probably from the rest. It was a little stressful.

After arrival, we met several "lucky ones" who ended up in this hotel. ALL of them, I emphasize - ALL! – got there through the thrice-blessed Fortune program. One family (a couple with a child) could not stand such a service and after paying about 600 dollars for everyone, they moved to a more decent hotel (despite the fact that the voucher for three cost about 1100 dollars).
There was an opinion that the "Fortune", sold at lower prices by Sunrise, is not a fortune, but a predetermined list of mediocre, inferior or completely lame hotels that no one in their right mind will go to (well, or for absolutely pennies), therefore from personal experience and the experience of the people I met, I would not recommend taking a "pig in a poke", otherwise you risk ruining your vacation. The representative of Sunrise swore to us that a 4 * hotel had at least its own beach, and, well, the corresponding level of service. Aha, shaz!

Summing up - either the wife last year got into a really decent hotel (Festival Tekirova), or after the Egyptian 5 (by the way, the cheapest in Egypt, according to experts, that is, far from the coolest) wretchedness is perceived very sharply, but Grand Beauty disappointed quite strongly.
Perhaps, for those who do not mind walking for 40 minutes a day to the beach and back, paying money for towels and sunbeds, putting up with simple food, compensating for this with the opportunity to look at the mountains from the balcony and silence (relative to the center of Kemer), Grand Beauty is suitable .
