I just read Marianne's review and realized that I both agree and disagree with her. We were at the hotel from 31.08-13.09. 2010. With two children aged 3 and 5 and with friends. We decided to go to Kusadasi during the velvet season, to improve the health of children (compared to the Antalya coast)! Thus, we were in Kusadasi for the first time, and in Turkey for the 3rd time. Outwardly, after the description on the forums, the hotel made me very pleased: the reception is in a wooden style, on the street, shops on the left, a thermal pool and buildings on the right. Traveled with World Travel. Guides are ok. Especially Irina. She came to the hotel every day at 14:00. We pestered her and asked how to go to Izmir by minibuses, as well as on excursions. She is ok. Patiently, even SMS answered the phone. Immediately evident - our former compatriot. WE walked around the territory and found that in the photos on the sites there is not even half of what the hotel has. There, the system is approximately the same - to the left of the reception and far inland - the old buildings (where the reviews say that there is no balcony on the 1st floor - these are them), and to the right - the new buildings. We were in a new building, without a sea view, which we did not regret. When we arrived, we immediately felt some kind of smell - a mixture of swamp and gases. This smell haunted me for several days. The rest did not hear him for two hours. (BUT for example, I will say that when we went to Izmir - there is also such a smell on the streets, we were told that it was from the sea - algae! ). Okay, in short. The territory is greener than in the forums, especially in the old part. The hotel turned out to be huge, we didn’t even go for a walk to the end, mainly in our part - this made me happy. BUT! The sea and the weather at that time upset me. Approaching the sea, I (and everyone else who wrote about August could not help but see this) that algae swim in the sea, the sea is restless, but the main thing is a constant breeze from the sea. This breeze became a gale several times in half a day. And so all 14 days. Clear calm sea was at 7 am, no wind, but very cold! And from 10 o'clock the sun was very hot, but the wind increased. Coming out of the sea - especially children - always lay in a towel even in the sun! This was the biggest negative for me. . Even I got used to algae - they were every day, but not to the wind! I suppose that we got into some kind of off season - which all travel agencies of course are silent about! There are many pools - we didn’t swim near the old buildings! But the impression was spoiled by the fact that the local ducks (a flock of them there) swam in a large pool in the morning and no one drove them out! And my child, after swimming in the children's pool, developed a rash, and it was on that day (once during the entire vacation) that he was immediately closed and cleaned very carefully with some kind of chemical. means. Yes, I forgot, compared to Ant. the sea turned out to be terribly salty on the coast and on the first day we were all red! I am an unpretentious person and I didn’t believe in fairy tales that someone bites in the sea, but someone stung me too: the impression is not pleasant - one thought, if only bitten a child - he would have screamed like a cut for half an hour! But there were 6 of us and no one else was bitten! Food. BEFORE this hotel, we were in Amara Wing Resort, of course we were warned not to compare, but still.... Yes, we got better (except for the kids) here as well, but the quality of the food left much to be desired. I also wiped dishes somewhere from the 3rd day. An indicator of quality was that the children did not eat anything, even the puree, which they adore here, they turned out to be when they tried it. There is a lot, but there is nothing. This was especially true of meat - chicken for lunch and dinner, lamb every other day, an unknown type of whole fish and traditional vegetables - they are able to cook them everywhere in Turkey! The sweets weren't that great either. A separate topic is the number of vacationers in the hotel. We were told by a couple who stayed at the hotel for the 4th year in a row that earlier with the old buildings there were much fewer people and they didn’t have to take places on the beach or near the pool, and run for lunch and dinner so as not to be late. I was especially killed for 4 days when the Turks had a referendum - there were so many of them that there was nowhere to push through! But the food has improved! The animation for children is very good: during the day we didn’t take the children there, but every evening they were eager to go to the disco, which lasted about 40-60 minutes. We did not go to adult animation day or night, but it was also noticeable. In Russian, no one, except for the same Vlad (we did not see his sister) speaks. About towels - some kind of nonsense, apparently the Turks feel who can be run over, and who is better not to touch. Yes, there is a large river on the territory of the hotel, where ducks live. And in front of the hotel, uncultivated land - a swamp - probably the smell from there too. When I was at the hotel, I thought that visiting it once was enough for me, but now, sitting at home, I think that maybe I would have gone there, but at an adequate price: 3500 USD for four. e. (with scams on the child living with friends) - it's expensive for this hotel!
