Sea urchins sit on the rocks of the breakwaters, they do not crawl on the sand, so it is safe to swim. Many fish are a great pleasure to watch.
I highly recommend a trip to Samos from Kusadasi, $ 40 with port tax (of course, there must be visa-free or Schengen). The first minibus leaves at 7.00 - just in time for the ferry (departure at 9.00, in fact it was 40 minutes later - waiting for everyone). We did not visit the first and second beaches, we drove immediately to the third, from there on the botanical trail (2 km. Fun) - to the fourth. Even on Sundays, when there are a lot of locals, everyone is accommodated, everyone is very friendly. The last bus from the third beach - at 19.00, it is desirable to have time. When we returned, we really saw a lot of wild boars on the third beach. They were only interested in food, they are not aggressive at all - they disassembled packages with leftovers.
Bottom line: we chose Faustina because of good recommendations and a good location - next to the reserve. A quiet, peaceful holiday was important to us.
