We just returned home from Turkey, so the review was written from a fresh memory. Last year we rested in Marmaris at the Elegance Hotel (5 *) and we fell in love with this part of Turkey so much that we did not hesitate to which resort we would go to this summer. Based on reviews and recommendations, this time we chose Icmeler, which is located 8 km from Marmaris. The place is really picturesque, although it does not please with its cleanliness. We decided to save money on the hotel, but to go for 12 days. This was our mistake. The travel agent offered Munamar Beach Residence, and after comparing prices with Elegance, we agreed. As soon as we checked in, our mood immediately deteriorated, but since the check-in was at night, we consoled ourselves with the hope of a completely different perception of the place in the morning. But in vain... And so , in order:
1) Hotel location: Residence 2nd line, Beach - 1. Walk from the Residence to the sea for about 5 minutes.
2) Hotel: consists of 2 small buildings: Beach (the old building and he is the main one) and Residence (newer). Both buildings have long been in need of repair and not only cosmetic. Since I lived in the Residence, I will write about it. The hotel is too worn: the carpet is horribly stained, shabby, patched in places. There is a reception in the lobby, a couple of sofas and armchairs from the 80s, a free small bar with coffee, tea and soda, wc and an elevator that you need to open yourself. From the decor here, artificial flowerpots and cheap illumination of the island in the middle of the hall.

Of the guests here, 70% are Ukrainians and Russians, all the rest are foreigners and Turks. It is absolutely not true that here 16+ is promised, on the contrary, most of them are married couples with children. So it’s unlikely that you can lie quietly on the beach or have dinner.
3) Room and housekeeping: we had a Residence Sea side view room. Although we were promised a view of the sea, in fact the view was of the Elite World 4 * hotel (which is much better than Munamar). The room has a standard set of furniture. A refrigerator with a mini bar (2 bottles of water of 0.5 l) is located in the closet . The bathroom also needs repair: there is a fungus in the shower, the tiles are beaten, the toilet lid is barely holding on, the taps are practically hanging on the snot. One blanket for two, or rather a bedspread. There are no blankets themselves, instead of them there are thick sheets. As for the balcony, it was, albeit very small and without the promised sea view. But on the other hand, it was closed, unlike the neighbor's balcony. Cleaning is done here every day, but there are two but: they do it either in the morning, when many are sleeping, or in the afternoon, when people come from the sea to relax. The second "but" in cleaning is its quality. Although the word "quality" is superfluous here - they make it for show, they only change towels (they have never changed linen for 12 days), they take away garbage and put toilet paper. No one wipes or vacuums anything in the room. And the soundproofing is bad and every evening you can hear music from neighboring hotels and neighbors behind the wall. WIFI did not connect either in the room or on the beach, it's good that I caught the Internet from the neighboring hotel on the balcony.
4) Beach: sunbeds and umbrellas are free, and for towels you need to go to the -1 floor of Munamar Beach, after exchanging cards for them in your building at the reception. Umbrellas let the sun through and generally barely stand. The sand is gray and rough, not clean. Gentle descent to the sea, which is very convenient. By the way, get ready that small fish will bite your legs in the sea)). In general, the beach and the sea are (sometimes) dirty, but the views are very beautiful. It is best to stay in the first row of sunbeds, closer to the sea, but for this we had to go to the sea at 7 in the morning and leave towels on our sunbeds so that no one would take them.
5) Food and restaurant. Here are the only cons, because this is the weakest side of this hotel. You can talk a lot about food, I will try to be brief. Be prepared for the fact that the restaurant cannot accommodate everyone, so you need to stand in front of its door even before opening and quickly take a table, or come in an hour and a half to two hours. Everything is dirty here too: tablecloths, seats, and dishes. The food is completely monotonous of vegetables, overcooked pasta, eggs. From the fish there was mackerel and capelin, tuna salad. There were problems with meat: soy cutlets, sausage and nuggets, stewed chicken and chicken offal with vegetables. There was even instant mashed potatoes. and frozen french fries For breakfast they also gave yogruta and cereal. Desserts from semolina and the same yogurts. Only fruits were saved. Men and children were extremely unhappy, and women, I think, with such nutrition improved their figures, but worsened their health. From drinks: water, powdered juices, coffee from a machine, soda, teas in sachets. There is alcohol at the bar, but I can’t say anything about it, because I don’t drink. In general, those who are on a strict diet or want to ruin their stomach, then you can safely choose this hotel.

Conclusion: the hotel does not match any of the given parameters. If you have the amount that Munamar is just right for, then my advice to you is: it’s better to rest for less days, but in another hotel. Take care of yourself!
