We rested at the Pineta Club Hotel 4 * with a friend in May 2019. We bought a last-minute tour three days before departure.
TUI operator, AzurAir flight by Boeing (8 people in a row, 300 people on board) from Kyiv (Borispol), the cost of 7 days for two is $500.
Before that, we had already rested many times in Turkey in solid 5 * with a full Ultra All and a price of at least $ 1200 for two for 7 days. Therefore, we had something to compare with, but we knew what we were agreeing to, as we needed an urgent rest.
Registration started at 3:00 am. Since two planes flew to Dalaman almost simultaneously (a difference of 30 minutes) (the difference is in the flight number and departure time), a passenger from another flight got on our plane : ). Therefore, we waited a bit until they transferred him to our flight... Then takeoff at 6.00, the flight was calm, landing at 8.30 went well, without delays and surprises!
In Dalaman, the luggage was picked up quickly, everyone was assigned to transfer buses... And we went to Marmaris, enjoying the beauties of the surroundings.
Halfway through we made a stop at a small, well-equipped market with free Wi-Fi, clean toilets, a currency exchange office ($1 = 5.70 lire at the official exchange rate for that day 5.90), i. e. there is a connection, you can exchange money, have a snack, smoke, wash yourself - it is also possible.
Then we went closer to Marmaris. Through the city center with beautiful fountains, a port and boats, shops, clean streets and a beautiful sea with clear water and small fish.
May 19.2019 in Turkey, they celebrated the "Day of Youth and Sports", so a stage has already been installed in the central square of the city.
We arrived at the hotel closer to 12.00 (20 people), everyone immediately settled into the rooms without delay. At the same time, they brought the same number of tourists from another flight and from another operator, they were offered to go for lunch, and already well-fed and satisfied tourists were settled in rooms.
There was one interesting moment when a couple of tourists did not find their luggage in the luggage department of the transfer, when they got off the bus... they raised all the tourists, travel agents and managers to their feet, rushed to call the police... But as it turned out, they simply did not take their suitcase from the airport. . . at the same time, all the way from the airport to the hotel, they sat next to us and "itched that everything was wrong with them"... That's how it happens... : ) advice: be careful about your things, tune in to the good - and you will be happy!
After lunch, we rested by the pool, as a meeting with the TUI manager was scheduled at 17.00, everything was as usual. . . We got acquainted, learned the concept of the hotel, the list and cost of excursions. . .
The following days of rest were exactly as we planned and dreamed of them for ourselves... Normal food, clean bedding and towels, always hot water in the bathroom, calm animation, evening walks along the promenade to the center of Marmaris and Icmeler. You can buy beach towels or take your own.
We sunbathed and swam on the Dora Beach, where we bought drinks and comfortably rested on new clean sun loungers with huge sun umbrellas. The guys on the beach and in the "Dora" bar, led by Alex, are friendly, positive Turks, they will prompt and help in any situation.
Nearby you can lie free of charge on the sand and pebble beach.
The main thing is to be positive about the rest, know a few words in Turkish (hello, thank you, bye), smile - and your vacation will be GREAT!
After a couple of days of passive rest, we wanted to experience and we went on an excursion to the Aegean Islands ($ 20-30) from 8.00 to 17.00. The sea is warm, the company is good, we went to various bays, where we fed wild rabbits cabbage, bread and apples to wild black goats, tied ribbons on the tree of desires, had a delicious dinner and danced cool on the deck of our boat, made a cherished wish when crossing the Maiden's Spit.
A couple more days of passive relaxation on the beach... And we wanted to go on an evening walk on a boat with dancing ($ 10) from 20.00 to 23.00, and the next morning - on
excursion to Pamukkale or Ephesus ($40-60).
In the morning at 6.30 we were picked up from the hotel and taken to Ephesus. On the way we stopped for a "Turkish breakfast" - boiled egg, tomato, cucumber, cheese, jam, butter, bread. The rest - for a fee! We had a bite. . . And on the way. . .
It is advisable to have water, glasses, a hat, comfortable shoes with you.
The surroundings of Marmaris are chic, buried in flowers and greenery of orange, olive, fig plantations.
Ephesus fascinates with its architecture, history, grandeur and... the number of cats "that walk by themselves", not paying attention to tourists!
We returned to the hotel closer to dinner, pleasantly tired and satisfied.
Our vacation is over... At 8.00 am after breakfast - in the transfer (18 people) and to the airport, on the way we stopped at the same market, the rate was already a little higher than $ 1 = 5.8 lire.
Check-in, boarding the plane, take-off, sleepy flight. . . And we are home!
Our vacation was budgetary, positive and versatile. We met nice people from Russia, Belarus, Turkey and Ukraine! We swam a lot in the sea, enjoyed the gorgeous views of the surroundings. We ate a couple of extra pounds and gained strength for active work!
