Travel time: 18 — 25 july 2010
Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For recreation with friends, for young people
Hello! Yesterday I returned from this hotel, and decided to immediately write a review.
In order for you, dear reader, to understand the situation better, I will comment on the official description of the hotel.
So let's get started.
“Hotel Villa; l is a comfortable and pleasant stay in a warm, homely atmosphere with excellent service. The hotel is built right on the beach. ”
- This paragraph says that from the hotel to the beach about twenty meters. Home furnishings can also be obtained, but only if you get to know a few Russian residents and drink beer or maybe something stronger, sitting at a table on the street near the hotel. That is, you need to create a homely atmosphere on your own.

"Location:
The hotel is located a 10-minute walk from the center of Marmaris. The international airport is 100 km from the hotel. ”

- It depends on what is considered the center of the city of Marmaris. If the main street, which is located parallel to the beach, then walk for about three minutes. Nearby is a McDonald's with prices 4 times higher than in Russia and there is a post office in the building of justice. If the monument to Ataturk (called “grandfather Lenin” among the Russian-speaking population) is considered to be the center of the city, then it’s about forty minutes on foot.
"Number of rooms:
68 rooms. ”

- There are just so many rooms, and with a sea view (this is what you see in the hotelier's pictures) - only 16, the rest with views of neighboring hotels, which are located 5 meters from each other
"Room types:
Standard rooms. ”
-I didn’t go to the rest of the numbers, but I think that they are all the same (see my pictures)

"Description of the rooms:
All are beautifully and elegantly decorated in a modern style, equipped with comfortable furniture. ”
- Not true! The furniture is soviet, there are 2 bedside tables in the room, a mirror, 2 beds, a wardrobe built into the wall, and a safe in the closet, screwed with a single self-tapping screw. Therefore, if you wish, you can easily tear off this safe and take it out in a bag, since the size is small.
Separately for beds - beds of one and a half, or even a little less. And quite badly worn. Entering the room for the first time, we noticed that a piece of paper was sticking out from under one bed, later it turned out that the foreigners who had previously lived here decided to fix the bed, which was staggering like a longboat on the waves, placing a magazine folded 2 times. In principle, this is quite convenient, because when we were bored, we took out this magazine and looked at the pictures; . Apparently, the Turks also thought that it would be more interesting and did not repair the bed.
"- Balcony with sea view"
- I already wrote above that there are only 8 such balconies, although with a strong desire you can lean out of the rest of the railing and see the sea through a small gap between the camps of the hotels
"- TV with satellite channels; "
-I can assume that the channels are satellite, but this does not play any role, because all the channels are in Turkish. There are no Russian channels.
"- air conditioning; "
- There is a split system, each room has its own. This is a plus, since the neighboring Poseidon has a centralized cooling system.
"- telephone with direct dialing; "

- There is a telephone, but we did not use it.
"- radio; "
- There is a radio, in the photos you can see a certain device between the beds, above the nightstand, which sticks out of the wall. But this very radio has 2 significant drawbacks: First, it does not work; secondly, due to the fact that it protrudes from the wall, it was not possible to move the beds
"- bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries. "
- There are no complaints about the bathroom, everything worked, more or less clean, the only thing I did not expect to see was a protruding tube from under the tank. Sometimes she got to the body.

Hotel infrastructure:
"- TV room; "
- It is not a TV room for several reasons: Firstly, it is not a room, but a nook in the hall, fenced off by the TV itself, Secondly, and most importantly, the TV does not work. (True, I did not turn it on myself, but during the entire stay I never saw the TV turn on)
"disco club. "
- I don't know what they meant by the name "disco club", probably it was music, light and 10 square meters of the dance floor, which belong to a cafe that rents the territory from the hotel. The cafe has nothing to do with the hotel. In this cafe there were 4 days in a row shows with luminous robots, Michael Jackson, break dance. You can see it once, which we did, and the rest of the days it was already sad. The music is the same. By the way, while I remembered, there is one interesting feature on the coast of Marmaris: each cafe tries to shout out the music of neighboring cafes, and they stand wall to wall. Therefore, if you want to sleep in more or less silence at night, choose a hotel with modern double-glazed windows - the roar is incredible.

"Meal Types:
- Continental breakfast buffet
- I don't know what a continental breakfast is, but you can eat according to two schemes: All Inclusive and Half Board (without lunch, afternoon tea and drinks from the bar)

Free service:
"- round the clock service; "
- the bartender is almost never in place - he goes to the kitchen.

"- umbrellas and sun loungers near the pool and on the beach. "
-Sun loungers pieces 25 near the pool, which is square, behind the hotel. There is also a swimming pool in front of the hotel - a small one, you can only dip in it to wash off the salt from the sea. There are no sun loungers around. Where you see sun loungers by the triangular pool in the photos of the hotelier, there are tables of the restaurant. On the beach, I counted 36 sun loungers, 9 pieces in 4 rows. Moreover, the sun loungers are placed one to the other, without gaps. And all this is due to the fact that the hotel sold 2/3 of its beach to a restaurant, and now you need to either pay 10 liras (200 rubles) or buy 2 beers (also 10 liras) for the right to lie in the sun near the sea. Well, or get up at 7 am and go put a towel on one of the sun loungers in the line for free.
By the way, an important point: there is no sun on the beach after 16 hours. It is covered by the hotel building.
"Paid service:
- safe at the administrator;
- room service;
- shops in the hotel.
-Safe, available both in the room and at the reception. We kept money and documents in a lockable travel suitcase
Room service - I don’t know what kind of paid services there are, but if cleaning is there, it’s free. Moreover, they cleaned every day, even when I said that you don’t need to clean today, and come tomorrow, the cleaning lady still came into the room when we left. Linen changed 2 times in my opinion for a week of stay. There were two cleaners - one of them constantly burst into the room - she would knock and immediately come in.
There are no shops in the hotel.
"Entertainment and sports:
- open pool;
- animation;
- water sports. "
-Of the above - only the pool, the rest is nonsense.

"For kids:
- Crib;
- Children's swimming pool. "
-There were no children with us, so I don’t know about the bed, but there is a children’s pool: a meter by a meter and a depth of 35 centimeters

"Restaurants, bars:
- a spacious restaurant with a pleasant romantic atmosphere, the menu of international cuisine;

- an elegant bar in the lobby of the hotel with a beautiful interior and an excellent selection of drinks and snacks. ”
-You will eat either in the hotel lobby - there are about 6 tables or on the street under the open sky - about 15 tables. When it rains, a few umbrellas are taken out and the number of tables outside decreases sharply. But that's not the point. The main thing is that breakfast will ALWAYS be the SAME! These are: red-hot boiled eggs, black olives, green, black with seasoning, black and green with seasoning, 3 types of cheese - Russian, cheese and something worse than Russian, tomatoes, cucumbers, chopped lettuce, 2 types of soy sausage - round and triangles and 2 types of liquid jam. GET READY FOR IT!
Lunch is more varied. Puree soup (for an amateur) The second with a side dish (there was both chicken and fish) and salads. Salads are made from what we saw for breakfast: tomatoes, cucumbers, chopped lettuce, salad of tomato cucumbers and lettuce; salad of soy sausage, tomatoes and potatoes with carrots, etc. In general, anything is mixed up in unthinkable combinations. Also always fried zucchini and eggplant.
Dinner is almost like lunch, i. e. The salads are the same, but the main course changes.
They also gave oranges and watermelons as a dessert, but for this you need to come one of the first.
From drinks: tea, coffee, 4 types of juices "yuppies", cold water.
If the program is "all inclusive", then sprite (local), cola (local), beer (diluted 2 times with water), vodka (diluted), rake - Turkish anise vodka (it is not possible to drink in its pure form) and 2 types of wine are added – white dry and red dry.
Ice in most cases in the bar is not.
"Beach:
Private sandy beach 50 meters from the hotel. ”
-The beach is not sandy but made of small gravel. The entrance to the sea is not easy - the bottom is strewn with cobblestones, so be careful for the first 15 meters. The water is clean. The width of the private beach is 8 meters, the depth is 4 rows of sun loungers.

In conclusion, I would like to note the behavior of the staff. 2/3 of the Turks in the hotel - uncultured cattle. They can remove the tablecloth from the table when a person eats, they go singing songs when the dishes are cleaned, how the floors are washed - it was described by previous vacationers. Only one Turkish at the reception speaks Russian, the rest either pretend or really do not understand.
Conclusion: We didn’t have time to choose hotels, so we settled here, but if you are an extreme person, or you need a hotel as a place to spend the night, then take half board and preferably a last-minute voucher so that it’s cheap, then you can live there and not regret spending money. Otherwise, Villa Sol is not for you.

P. S. It is a pity for the people who came there for 10 and 14 days - there were some.
Have a great holiday everyone!
