It is not possible to reach the city center on foot, the distance is too long (20 km). But in Turunja there is something to see and mountains and a bay, restaurants and shops. Don't expect a luxury stay at a budget hotel, but that doesn't mean you can't have a great time. . The only thing to check with your tour operators is whether they provide a transfer to the hotel, because the road is very long.
