We rested in Turkey for the second time. The first time we were on the Mediterranean Sea in the Kemer region (Camyuva village, hotel "L" Oceanica ". The rest was great! We left Turkey in love with this country! The second time we wanted to go to the Aegean coast of Turkey. On the recommendation of the travel agency manager, we went to Marmaris (village Icmeler, hotel "Litera Icmeler Deluxe Hotel"). From the first steps of approaching the hotel, the picture of the hotel from the Internet began to diverge from reality. I will only tell about those discrepancies that were significant for me. The hotel room was in a deplorable state : crumbling plaster; moldy stain on the wall adjacent to the bathroom; stains on mattresses, carpeting, towels, mirror; cracked enamel on the bathroom; ventilation not working... The general appearance of the room is very reminiscent of Soviet-era hotels, once good , but have not seen repairs for a long time. For two days, they turned to the reception with a request to change the room, there was no reaction.
As I found out later, this hotel was bought by the Litera hotel chain recently, and it has not yet been renovated. At the moment, Litera combines in its life: Litera Icmeler Deluxe Hotel (former Abacus Metropol Hotel), this is the main building + Litera Hotels Resorts (from this hotel, vacationers eat in the restaurant of the main building) + Abacus Idas Hotel (cooked food is brought from this hotel to the main building, as well as vacationers eat in the restaurant of the main building).
As for its own beach, it is, only it is located somewhere in Marmaris, and takes a bus there according to a constantly changing schedule (approximately from 9.00 to 16.00), with a paid lunch (about $ 8 per person). We preferred to go to the public beach (about 500 meters) with paid sunbeds - about $ 2.2 per day per person per sunbed. The food is quite tasty, only very monotonous breakfasts - "English": boiled egg and / or scrambled eggs, sausage, tomato, beans in tomato sauce, and so all 7 days.

98% of English-speaking tourists (English, Dutch) rest in the hotel, so food, entertainment, and television (not a single Russian channel) are focused on them. To some extent, this is even a plus.
What caused great delight was the nature of the coast and the village of Icmeler! The beauty is indescribable: at a high air temperature (40-43 degrees), the climate is dry and the heat is practically not felt, the sea is contrasting (20-23 degrees). You will not see the open sea and high waves here. Icmeler, like Marmaris, is located in a closed bay. Icmeler is, as it were, surrounded by a soft wave of mountain peaks, through the center of which a channel flows, leading to the bay.
As the sea turned out to be mixed (on the conditional border of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas), so are our feelings towards relaxation. Only Turkey, as always, did not disappoint!
