Foreword: I generally belong to the category of tourists who do not pay attention to unpleasant little things, and are content with the rest, seeing the positive in everything. As an ex-tourism manager, I have visited many hotels, there is something to compare with, I rarely write negative reviews, but Marmaris Resort disappointed. Not so completely disappointing, you can relax in it, and you can relax normally, just keep in mind one nuance - DeLuxe is just a name ...this has nothing to do with the service ...

First, I will describe what I did not like, then I will go through a short description of the rest - suddenly it will come in handy for someone.

Reception and Guest Relations service.

Disgusting work. I booked a deluxe villa 2 + 1 (were traveling with a small child), upon arrival it turned out that there were no places and offered to live a day in the resort standard ...(at the same time it was a stupid lie - they say there was an earthquake, and the air conditioner and the light did not work.
The earthquake really happened 5 days ago, but it was in the sea ...and when I said that it’s okay, we’ll live a day without electricity and air conditioning - she couldn’t find anything to say ... ) This is because the booking service is disgusting - people who come to the resort sometimes they settle in a deluxe (as a confirmation, I can give links to reviews of such lucky people from the resort), there is an overlay and a person who has arrived in a deluxe has nowhere to settle - he is offered a resort standard ...and it doesn’t matter that people paid significantly different money for the trip, the difference in the day of stay between rooms - 50 euros ...
There is a practice in the world, if the booked room is occupied, they offer as a replacement a room with a class higher, but not lower in any way ...the resort does not seem to know about this ...
When I flatly refused to settle in the standard, they found me a superior villa and put the three of us there - although I write everywhere that they don’t accommodate children in this room ...
Looking ahead, I’ll say that every day I sat at the reception in the WiFi zone for an hour, and almost daily I heard complaints from tourists who were not accommodated there, and demands to change the room ...There is only one conclusion - the hotel management needs to immediately pay attention to the work of this service ...

And at the same time for the work of GuestRelations.
Since I was put in a room intended for two, and there were three of us, we needed a pillow / blanket, etc. I approached - made a request - she immediately wrote down a complaint, called somewhere ...a day passed - zero response. Repeated request - all the same - a call ...though they brought it after 5 hours ...The same thing happened with the glasses from the bathroom, which I left for the night on the terrace, and they were taken away ...twice asked to bring, then waved my hand ...without waiting for them …

Rooms. Room cleaning.

I liked everything here, the DeLuxe villas are comfortable, spacious, new furniture ...a jacuzzi ...To complete happiness, there were not enough branded slippers and a bathrobe, which are usually given in fives)
I didn’t like the cleaning service… There are only 16 villas on the left side of the hotel… and to organize a normal cleaning is nonsense… Firstly, the cleaning took place somewhere from 14-17 – exactly when the child has a daytime sleep… I asked GuestRelations to take this fact into account – to no avail. The maid came, saw that there was someone in the room - and left ...everything ...as a result, in 10 days, cleaning in our room was only 5 times ....
I regularly left tips - origami from a towel was only 2 times ...the quality of cleaning - lousy - sand in the corners, stains ...or everywhere it was clean - and there was dirt and sand in the sink ...you see everything was washed, washed a rag in the sink, and the sink itself was not even I tried to rinse with water...
What killed me was that on the 9th day, the toilet paper ended, sorry ...They didn’t bring a new one ...The maid didn’t even go to the toilet when cleaning ...on the next. Day as I already got used to - there was no cleaning. . and papers, therefore, too ...

The device in the room is incomprehensible in the form of one teapot, 1 tea bag and 1 coffee bag - which are not replenished, and there is nowhere else to take tea bags in the hotel ...in the restaurant, tea is poured from kettles ...That is, I drank a tea bag - and then use the kettle for the rest of the rest exclusively as an interior detail ...

When checking in, they said that the safe was paid - 4 c. u. e. a day, but they forgot to take money from us for eviction) so the poor work of the reception is sometimes a plus for the tourist)

Beach.
The beach is long but narrow. Two rows of beds. It turns out in the middle of the resort beach, on the sides - deluxe. Mostly entering the sea is pebbles, sometimes there are sea urchins.
It seemed to me that the most convenient entry into the sea is near the central pier of the resort - there, in general, a couple of meters were cleared of pebbles - it is very convenient with children.

But here immediately another minus is the lack of sunbeds under a canopy ...there are really enough of them for everyone ...to really take a sunbed - you need to come to the beach before 6.30 in the morning. I came once at 7:00, all the sunbeds were already occupied (I threw a towel or something else on him - consider taking a sunbed) ...like that ...the sea is clean, warm - super ...the air is dry, light, lighter than in Antalya ...

Nutrition. Wasps.
Deluxe guests can eat at the Lotus Restaurant (open air type) as well as at the main restaurant. Residents of the resort - they will be paid for everything in the Lotus.
What is Lotus? This is an ex a la carte restaurant. A small selection of salads - here self-service. Hot meals are ordered from the menu. There is only one menu - just one leaf - it does not change at all (I give photo No. 1). You can learn by heart in 1 day.
I survived this monotony for one day - later we ate at the main restaurant, and went to the lotus to drink drinks. Well, sometimes when there was no meat in the main, I went and ordered lamb medallions in a lotus ...
The menu of the main restaurant is a standard monotonous, corresponding to the budget five - which is the resort, and de luxe in addition. You will not be hungry - but the choice is poor, only dinners are more or less stretched out due to grilled dishes ...though there are queues for meat ...From fruits in the lotus, which is mostly: watermelon, melon, oranges. And it's all!
For example, food in MartiResort - also in the top five in the area - is already a completely different level ...
I didn’t like the service in the Lotus at all - it doesn’t smell like deluxe ...A couple of cases: I ordered from the menu from the waiter, half an hour passed ...patience bursts ...I wave to this waiter to come up - he comes up and asks - what will you order ...curtain ...In general, until you call yourself waiter - you get tired of waiting until he deigns to come up to you ...Or I order a mojito - in a minute they say that there is no mint ...After a while - I notice that the Turks at the next table are drinking mojito - I go up to the bar myself, I order a mojito - voila - there is mint ) the most surprising thing is that I liked the way they serve fiziks in the main restaurant. At least they only clear the table - but they do it quickly ...


Before the trip, I read a lot of reviews and knew that there were a lot of wasps ...but so much ...sometimes up to 10 wasps flew over the table during dinner! Without exaggeration ...while I took out the phone - I managed to catch 5 wasps in the frame!

There are really a lot of wasps, of course they are not aggressive - there is more risk of just swallowing them ...I am writing this for those who are afraid of bites and who have allergic reactions to bites ...stock up on bite ointments ...The hotel regularly poisons mosquitoes in the evenings - there are not many of them, the question is - why can't you get rid of wasps? One gets the impression that they are specially bred ...

A la carte restaurant
Pure divorce… in the description of the hotel you will find two restaurants: Turkish and fish…
In fact, this is the same restaurant - not even a restaurant, but a pier with tables, and a covered cafe with a kitchen on the shore. You need to book a day in advance at the reception.
The cost is 20 c. u. e. per person. You come - the waiter first specifies which menu to carry - fish or Turkish - everything is cooked in the same kitchen)
What was served to us for two for 40 USD. e. in the fish menu:
Sliced ​ ​ cheese, their thick adjika, sprat marinated in vinegar, shrimp and pickle salad, fried squid rings - all this is one serving for two. Only the main dish - fried sea bass - was brought to everyone on a plate ...For dessert - three small cakes ...An attentive reader has already calculated that there are only 4 fish dishes (even three, because it is impossible to eat sprat under vinegar), the rest of the dishes - you can eat daily in the main restaurant ...including the same sea bass - it seems to be served in a lotus ...
I always go to a fish restaurant in hotels in Egypt and Turkey - this restaurant is the worst I have ever visited ...
Of the pluses, only a romantic atmosphere on the pier. You pay not for the food, but for the atmosphere and place. For romantics - this is it, for connoisseurs of fish cuisine - better not go - you will get disappointed

Hotel prices.

It's no secret that hotel prices are always higher. . The retreat is no exception...
But the prices for some services and goods are unrealistically high, for example - a children's circle - 20 USD. e. . But this is the case almost everywhere, but what shocked me was the prices in the photo ...

A hotel photographer takes good pictures, but the cost of one picture is 7 USD. e. e. In the case of bargaining and buying several photos, it will reset your price to 5 c. u. e. .

An important point: packing a suitcase in a hotel in polyethylene costs 8.5 t.
It is a rare case when the price in a hotel is lower than on the street/airport.

I planned to buy a Davidov block in DutiFri in Borispol - I bought it for 25 euros (there are no cigarettes cheaper than 20 euros) ...I regretted that I had not bought it in the metro the day before for 120 UAH = 11 euros ...The same applies to Dalaman's Dutifri - due to lack of time, I had to buying sweets there is very expensive - the market in Marmaris has better prices ...
Don't leave everything to the last minute - buy souvenirs in advance!

For kids
We traveled with a 3 year old child. They didn’t rent to the kids club, they went to the children’s disco in the evenings. First there is a children's disco from the hotel animators, closer to 9 - a disco from LeoClub. I really liked the running of the disco performed by the guy from the Leo Club - you can see he does everything with his soul, it's a pity that the disco from Leo is short.

Two outdoor pools, ordinary round ones ...though in the middle there is one slide ...it looks poor ...
Playground - I want to cry ...a pitiful sight for a 5-star hotel ...I didn’t take a picture, but it’s just a scribe ...one slide, two swings, three mini-golf courses ...The hotel should be ashamed ...

Opposite the "playground" - cages with animals - rabbits, chickens, geese, 2 peacocks ...you can only watch, well, or feed until the hotel workers see)

Nutrition for the child is rather weak, if the child is picky about food, or he is prescribed a healthy diet - look for another hotel. Our child is just happy to eat French fries and other not quite healthy food (but we don’t need to notate as parents), so there was something to feed him ...

In the kids club, once a day, it’s like they give the child ice cream - only the hours of issue coincide with the child’s daytime sleep ...as they specially chose ...they won’t give an adult without a child ...

Animation
I won’t rate it… I didn’t attend their daytime performances… I went to evening shows a couple of times – I didn’t like it, the humor is boring… but this is my subjective opinion – you might like it… many of those present liked it… Therefore, I leave the animation without rating. By the way, what I watched every day - morning water exercises and stretching (as they call it) - gathered at most 10-15 people ...not enough for a 1000 hotel ...Perhaps the animators are not active enough ...

Marmaris
There is nothing near the hotel. For souvenirs - in Marmaris ...
The hotel has a free Shuttle Bus, runs twice a day, at 9:00 there-12:00 back, at 14:00 there-15:00 back.
