I rested in Nena with my son in September 2007.
Before that, I had not been to Turkey, I was abroad only in the Czech Republic. I'll start with the food: Do you like to stand in line for food, conditionally, for dinner for a fried cutlet on the grill, about 10 minutes? And you also want a salad, fruit and a side dish... The child was 5 years old, I have it handmade, I don’t have one left at the table - this is what I mean, but to the fact that there are no trays, that is, I, having stood for 10 minutes for a cutlet , 5 minutes for a salad and 7 minutes for fruit, thus killing half an hour, I bring as much as I can carry in plates (there are no trays! ) On the table, I return to the handout for food for the child, and at this time a nimble garcon flies up and cleans everything what I brought (like we ate). This was repeated 5 times. Moreover, when I wanted to call the garson in advance to explain that I had not yet eaten, everyone was busy.
A very clear gradation for Russians and other vacationers: if the bar runs out of glass glasses, then for a German they will still find it, and for a Russian tourist they will pour it into plastic.

Even in the snack bar in front of me, a German woman poured cola into a large plastic glass, but since they were running out, they already poured me into a transparent 50 gram, from which in Russia they only drink vodka in “droppers”. I used to treat myself with respect and asked the bartender: “why? ”. He mumbled something unintelligible, then I told him pour 10 pieces. Maybe someone turns a blind eye to this and looks for only positive emotions in the rest, but I don’t like to sneer and it infuriates me. Although the Germans are not nearly better than us, and I think it is a delusion to talk about them as a highly cultured nation, this does not apply to the hotel.
I wanted to take an orange for breakfast, they seem to be included in the price, but they ran out on the handout, a hotel employee stood nearby and squeezed juice from these oranges for 2 euros, I took an orange from her plate - this worker tore it out of my hands! I didn't take her juice, I took an orange!!! . Well, in general, the scandal, the chef came and I took this stupid orange. Although I arrived on time for breakfast and did not demand anything extra, the child just wanted an orange, and they ran out in front of us.
The quality of food, I do not undertake to discuss, but I will express my opinion about its taste. It’s all “Turkish” and neither I nor my child could eat normally, it can’t be described, you can only try and understand. If in the Czech Republic I ate everything and everywhere, then in Turkey everything looks beautiful, the variety is crazy, but you can’t eat it - it’s spicy, it’s sour, it’s undercooked, or they added a local calorie. They ate salads, which they themselves collected from tomatoes and cucumbers.
Another example of the attitude of staff towards vacationers: we stand in line for pancakes in the morning, there are a lot of people, the cook is frying pancakes. He pours them at once about 15 pieces on a hot surface. Without waiting for them to fry, pouring out the last fritters, he immediately begins to turn over from the first, splashing the dough. Having finished turning the last one, he begins to throw them at the plates of the rest, when they hit the plate, the LIQUID DOUGH pours out of the middle of the pancake. Doesn't he see the dough? He couldn’t get up early to bake quality (it seemed to me that it was their job to get up earlier). Moreover, he did this whole process with the air of "Ah... If you want to eat - here, eat. " And everyone is silent. . . The Russians are silent, because, probably, they do not want to be considered ill-mannered. Why the Germans are silent is not clear. Of course, I said that the pancakes were raw, of course, this miracle in a white coat was not happy, but he realized that I was not going to endure and fried the pancakes for me to their edible state (although they still taste bad).

The pizzeria did not give pizza for the company, I went for pizza for 5 people. But this important Turkish boy balked (he wanted to give 1 piece to each plate, and we needed 5 people at once). I told him that there are a lot of us, please give me five pieces, but he began to express dissatisfaction in Turkish with a knife in his hands, I naturally expressed my dissatisfaction in Russian, this Turkish woman began to literally throw pizza at the handout with an air like “ ON, Eat, ”I naturally threw back with the look of“ I WILL CHOOSE A HICKEN. And it wasn't just me that had these problems.
Everything was fine in the room, but there was black mold or "fungus" on the shower curtain, and this is a 5 star hotel! The cleaning lady comes every day - doesn't she see? I didn't leave a dollar tip, I think he'll tidy up the curtain, then I'll give it to you. But nothing has changed in a week - only the time of arrival of the cleaning lady has changed, she began (in my opinion on purpose to look into our “shameless eyes”) to walk when we rest in the room, automatically sending her. They do not understand English, nor do they understand Russian.
I am not interested in animation, so I can’t judge its quality, but my child was not interested in the kids club, although there were Russian-speaking animators, but it’s more like the psychology of my child specifically, other children were engaged.
It's good that the disco is located separately and does not interfere with sleep.
I didn't even imagine that five-star hotels could be like that. . . !
Do not rest in Turkey, respect yourself!
