Like many tourists, I went on the Internet before the holidays to see which hotel my husband and I purchased the tour. the reviews made my hair stand on end and tears welled up: this vacation was very long-awaited and even before leaving I was sure that it was ruined. My husband, to all my lamentations, remained calm and said that you can read a lot of negative reviews about any hotels, that we will sort it out on the spot and don’t go to sit in the room at all, but swim and sunbathe. These words calmed me a little and for good reason. I do not consider my vacation spoiled for the following reasons:
- we were quickly settled (although I know that not everyone is so lucky);
- except for the lack of a remote control for the air conditioner, everything worked for us (we got the remote control in 15 minutes from the administrator)
- catering for tourists is at a good level, though at lunchtime I had to eat on the summer terrace, and it is very hot there
- Speaking of food: a good selection of vegetables, fruits, cheeses, bread, side dishes. plenty of meat too. only their soups remained for us not fully understood.
- there are enough sunbeds on the beach, although closer to our departure I saw people a couple of times who didn’t get sunbeds (enough vacationers take away towels in the morning, leave them on sunbeds and keep them occupied even when they leave for a long time)
- everyone seemed to like the animation, but we are not for noisy evenings, we prefer walking along the embankment to our liking
- the choice of excursions is good, but the prices are certainly not small. I really liked our own trip to Side - we got on a minibus ($ 4 in both directions), walked around the ruins, around the local bazaar and left back. you don’t depend on the group, you choose the time that is convenient for you, and it’s close to the hotel, you don’t have to travel for several hours on the bus.
Of course there were downsides:
- I absolutely did not like that I had to stand in line for the same fruits, because everyone is gaining a lot, and others do not even get it. I only at the end found out that they turn out to be us and give cherries for dinner, you just need to run faster when the doors open. I'm sorry, but I'm not a supporter of these races
- you can read a lot of phrases about flies and insects. . . really strange, where are they from? Maybe the guests just need to follow the rules of the hotel and if it says “do not bring food into the rooms. Insects are bad neighbors, is this not done in vain? Maybe you should not line up plates and glasses from sweet drinks near the rooms, but take them to where they took them.
I'm not saying the hotel is great. We may just be lucky or we were just waiting for a vacation so that it was more important for us to be together, sunbathe, swim, go on excursions. I will not recommend the hotel to anyone, suddenly they are not lucky as we are.
I liked my vacation, and I’m writing a review not to convince anyone that I’m right, but to say that we really do our vacation ourselves and it’s not only a matter of mood, but also in relation to everything and everyone with respect . As they say, treat others the way you want to be treated. My husband and I were polite and smiling, and in return there was a similar attitude.
