Excellent hotel! Small, cozy, spacious rooms (standard! ), beautiful wooden furniture (large double bed, 2 bedside tables with nightlights, a table, a large mirror above the table with 2 lamps on the sides, 2 armchairs, a round table between them, a table for suitcases, a large built-in wardrobe with 4 compartments), refrigerator, air conditioning, carpet. A good bathroom with a bath (of course, a shower would be more convenient. By the way, there are showers in the Family Room). Balcony with 2 plastic chairs and a small table (chairs would be more comfortable). The balcony lacks a dryer for towels and swimwear (and an air freshener in the bathroom). The most important thing is the good attitude of the staff towards the guests. We arrived at 9 am. We were immediately offered to go for breakfast (things were left at the reception), and after breakfast they were given a room overlooking the pool on the 3rd floor (there are 4 floors in the hotel, 23 rooms each). The staff is constantly at work - they wash, clean, clean the rooms, from 6 in the morning they scrub the tiles by the pool, sun loungers, clean the pool. At the same time, they are constantly smiling. The owner personally controls everything and HELPING THE STAFF (on the 3rd day we found out that this is the owner of the hotel! ) The territory of the hotel is small, but there is a playground, a children's pool and a 1.5 m deep pool for adults with 2 slides, which include twice a day - from 10 am to 12 am and from 2 pm to 4 pm. Near the pool - a bar, open from 10.00 to 22.00. Near the bar there is a cooler, a coffee machine, a juice machine. Huge bright lobby. Small gym with treadmill, exercise bike, ping pong table, dumbbells and barbells. Near the lobby there is a pool table (always busy! ). There is also an indoor pool (as I understand it, for those who go to the hammam). The restaurant is large (for such a small hotel). Food to choose from and for all tastes. Lots of fruits and Turkish sweets. Very good and friendly chef Iso (knows only a few words in Russian, but greets everyone and wishes everyone a good appetite). Very smart waiters (in general, they are masters of all trades), Nurban, Sabriye, Mustafa and Elea especially remembered (they also stood at the bar). So much I want to write and thank the owner of the hotel and all the staff for a good rest. There are no complaints at all. Some positive emotions. We decided that they are not looking for good from good. From now on we will rest only in Side and, perhaps, again in this hotel.
We did not use the hotel's beach. Sunbathing on towels on the beach of the Defne Star hotel. There is wonderful fine sand, a gentle entrance to the sea, no stones.
We went by minibus to ancient Side, wandered through the ruins (read the description signs near each attraction). We also took an excursion from the street (which we regretted) on a yacht along the route Side-Manavgat River-Manavgat Falls. A tattered janitor came for us. The promised tour of the ancient Side was not. The yacht was filled to the brim with people. After entering the Manavgat River, we made a stop for swimming in the sea and lunch. Dinner was nothing. All drinks (even plain water) and ice cream are wildly priced. An inconvenient entrance to the sea (pebbles), immediately from the shore there is a great depth and a very strong surf. We were taken to the bridge on a yacht, transferred to buses, divided into 2 groups (those who wanted to go to the waterfall had to pay 2.5 euros extra). And at the waterfall we were safely forgotten! By the way, in case of any trouble, do not be afraid to contact the local population (policemen, drivers, etc. ). Of course, you need a minimum knowledge of German or English (preferably German). The bus station employee immediately began to call, find out, negotiate with the taxi driver so that he would take us cheaply to the bazaar. We did not go to any bazaar, we decided to return to the hotel on our own (2 minibuses). There was not enough money for the 2nd minibus, they explained to the driver that we were behind the tour, paid 3.5 lira and 1 dollar, drove it. Two days earlier, I forgot my bag in the minibus, and the driver of a completely different minibus helped find it route, started calling them, found them, brought them). Exceptionally pleasant impressions about the Turks (except for the employees of the street travel agency. By the way, we rested in Turkey 4 times, such a puncture with a tour for the first time). I recommend Turkey in general and the Palm d'Or 4* hotel in particular!! ! There is no animation in the hotel.
