We stayed at this hotel in August 2019. It has just opened after renovation. There is a main building and several two-story bungalows. We were first settled in one bungalow, but we really didn’t like the room, it was very small for three, there was something with air conditioning, and the location of the bathroom was inconvenient. We turned to the reception and for $ 10 they gave us another one, also in a bungalow. The other room is not much bigger, but better all the same. Too tight for three.
The territory of the hotel is very large, green, rabbits run, there are sports grounds, every day the animators organized some kind of competition among young people. In the middle is a large beautiful pool in the shape of a shamrock. The beach is close and it is huge, the first line after all. There were no other hotels around the hotel, so the beach seemed to be endless. The sea is warm, clean, azure, as always on the coast of Antalya. Concert program in the evenings. We went once, but it started late, and I really wanted to sleep. And so - not bad.
Nutrition. Not really. One and the same, from meat only turkey and chicken, fish is cheap, bony. Even just stewed or fried vegetables were cooked very poorly. But you can always find something for yourself, no one was hungry. I was fine, I didn’t go there to overeat. Desserts are also not very good, a small selection, ice cream for money on the street. Coffee is just disgusting, from the machine, instant - this is most annoying. On the street you could buy a cup of natural coffee for money, I thought, at least I’ll take my soul. I ordered coffee with milk, my aunt did not understand either Russian or English and made me coffee in milk! Muck! She understood this and brewed a new one, adding a little milk, but the coffee is still disgusting, my husband and I just left our full cups and left, having paid, of course. Juices, or rather UPI, are also from the machine. I wanted to buy fresh juice for my daughter for money, but only one day they did it, then there was simply never a waiter to press the juice.

Surprisingly, white wine turned out to be quite suitable, it is usually impossible to drink wine in Turkish hotels of this level. Beer is not good at all, it gave me a headache, even from 1 small glass. Cocktails, by the way, didn’t give me a headache, even though they were made from who knows what. There was no cocktail card, the waiters interfered with anything, people just ordered an alcoholic cocktail and the waiter interferes with whatever he wants.
It was always very stuffy in the central restaurant, not just stuffy, but real hell. Maybe that's why many dishes were not tasty in such heat. Large room and only 1 or 2 portable air conditioners, which were of no use at all. That was very stressful. Probably, they did this so that people would not linger for a long time. There were also tables outside, and it was also hot…
What pleased me was that there were no annoying Turks who were agitating to go to the store. The hotel guide, an Azerbaijani, unobtrusively suggested that we go somewhere, but we said that we had already been on excursions, and we were not interested in shops. He did not impose his trips on us anymore, on the contrary, he gave good advice on how to get to Side.
I do not like to take excursions in Turkey, because in addition to the sights you are also taken to the shops, a lot of time is wasted on this. As a result, departure from the hotel at 5 am and return at 21-22.00. We didn't want to waste the whole day and half the night. We went to Side ourselves by regular bus (15 or 20 km from the hotel to Side). Stop right next to the hotel, just cross the road. We walked along the embankment, walked along the ruins of the temple of Apollo and returned to the hotel. Spent 3 hours total. The only thing is that the bus does not go to the Side embankment, but stops at the bus station. They took a taxi from him to the embankment.
On the day of the flight back, the bus did arrive at 5 am to take us to the airport and stop by for more shopping along the way. I just hate it! And Turkey! Could sleep peacefully until 7 am, if not for these shops. I don’t like Turks either, they are all deceivers, and they strive to tear off for all the money.
Pros: the hotel is after renovation, a large beautiful area, a beautiful pool and not one, there is also one for children, the beach is close, the clean, azure Mediterranean Sea, near the city of Side, a nice price.

Cons: food and drinks leave much to be desired, unbearable heat in the central restaurant, drinks in the lobby bar are poured into plastic cups. They wake up early on the day of departure to deliver to the shops on the way to the airport.
The hotel is not 5* at all.
Would I return to this hotel again? Not
The review was written 2 years later, before the hotel was called Iron Ambassador Side Beach 5 *. I understand they changed their name more than once.
