Great start to summer!
Just returned from Turkey, so I decided to write my review while the memories are fresh! We rested at the Side La Grande hotel from May 30 to June 7.2016, the three of us - me, a 10-year-old son and a grandmother. We flew from Almaty by the Turkish airline "Atlasglobal" (previously it was called "AtlasJet"), the meeting party was Anex Tour. At first there were fears about this company, I read negative reviews. But it actually went great! We were met with a sign, brought to the racks, distributed among the buses, and taken without delay. The guide on the way was not silent, talking about the beauty of Turkey and so on. On the way, they traditionally brought them to one shop, but in a quick way, they didn’t tire for a long time. Our hotel was the first in the delivery, we arrived there at 9:15 and were already set to wait, we were even going to go to the sea. We were greeted warmly, we filled out all the questionnaires and went to breakfast. After a hearty breakfast, we went upstairs and, to our surprise, we already received the keys to the room!
The guy helped with things, we got a room on the third floor from the side of the main entrance, so to speak, to the right of the horses on the roof! -)) We have already heard about the official surcharge for a sea view, we checked it - everything works, and did not bother with this topic! What can I say - the room is gorgeous! Everything is new, the plumbing is excellent, dispensers with soap, gel and shampoo are attached to the walls, all the original personal belongings are in boxes. I was surprised by the number of pillows - 3 jokes per person and even some kind of cushion, you can see under the head. The room is decorated in pleasant colors, a flat TV in a mirrored wall, original. There is a mini-bar and a free safe, there are a lot of hangers in the closet. The balcony is decent, there is a dryer, a table and 2 chairs and a view of the mountains and some hotel across the road. By the way, it was very beautifully illuminated in blue at night. Yes, when the door is closed, no noise from the street is heard, and the air conditioner works properly!
Satisfied, we unpacked and ran to the sea! It can be reached by golf cart, which runs back and forth every five minutes, or on foot along the beautiful promenade between the hotel and the river. The sea itself pleased us, everything was as described earlier - warm, gentle, with sand and a gentle approach, it's just a paradise for children! There are a lot of sun loungers, awnings on top, everything is fine. I really liked the bar on the beach, the food there was just wonderful and comparing what is served for lunch in the main restaurant, we preferred to dine here. Always fresh grill, fries, a good selection of side dishes, salads and fruits, pizza and gozleme, and most importantly, attentive staff. Drinks were served, tables were cleared. As for lunch at the main restaurant, it didn't happen day after day, my son liked to take food from the pool bar, they served burgers, pizza and fries in metal mesh cups.
Judging by the reviews I read, before all this was served just the same on the beach, but now there have been changes! Here dinners are traditionally richer, a lot of grill, sweets, cooked on the street, there is something to choose from inside the restaurant. I will not list the assortment, I will say one thing - very tasty! Everything is fresh, the quality is monitored by the chef himself, he constantly went there and controlled everything. The waiters literally ran around the hall, brought drinks. I really liked the staff, everyone is trying to smile, to offer something. In general, we literally rolled out from dinner! -))
Ice cream and waffles are served by the pool from 16:00 to 17:00, everything is very tasty! Ice cream - branded, "Algida". Cakes and tea and coffee can be drunk in the lobby, but we rarely went there.
It was possible to visit one Ala carte restaurant, we chose the fish one, we liked everything, most importantly, they served beautifully and quickly!
Probably we were not lucky, just the beginning of the season, and the contingent crept up mainly Germans, Poles, Lithuania, a little Kazakhstan and Ukraine. In short, everything was in German, not everything is clear and somehow more like amateur performances. Animation was, but rather weak. It seems that they played bocha on the beach, darts by the pool, but still it was not particularly audible and visible of these animators... We entertained ourselves, went out in the evenings to Side. Manavgat, just went shopping. As for shopping, there is where to turn around and near the hotel, we liked to walk to the right of the hotel, there are shopping arcades and you can walk to the indoor shopping center. And you can go to the left of the hotel and go across the bridge, there is also an indoor center, but it seemed to us more expensive. And of course it is cheaper to make purchases in Manavgat and Side. We had a great shopping at LC Waikiki, which is located in Manavgat, you can ask the driver of the minibus, and he will stop right in front of the store.
The hotel has a leather shop, there is a sociable seller Rashid, he offers everyone to go to their big shops in Side and Antalya.
I want to note the hotel hammam, it is wonderful! My mother and I took the program for $ 30, we liked everything. I checked out the stone massage by a bald masseur, and it was included in the program! I advise you to go there on the first or second day of your stay, before the body is covered with a tan. In general, everything is on the level. Here, by the way, beach towels are changed daily.
Made friends with local photographers, good guys Fabio and Denise, doing a great job. Fabio speaks more Russian. Denise - in English. We did a photo session with them, which we did not regret a bit, worked to the fullest, photos both by the pool and in the garden, and on the alley by the sea and on the coast itself. Recommend!
We met our compatriots from Almaty and Karaganda, our children became friends, which we were incredibly happy about, we were less stressed and had more rest!
So 9 days of rest flew by unnoticed, I didn’t want to leave!
Our vacation was a success, nothing overshadowed it. From the side of the hotel we received only friendly attitude, attention and care. The hotel itself is really new, chic lobby, main restaurant and more.
