We rested at the hotel the last weeks of July + the first of August.
Since the territory and the entire infrastructure of the SUNRISE and STARLIGHT hotels are the same, and the tourists of both hotels use it equally, the review is equal to both hotels at the same time.
We arrived at 8:30 in the morning, on the way we stopped at 5-6 hotels in Side and brought along tourists, we arrived at the hotel at 11:30.
We settled sooo long. . . 2-3 minutes!! ! When we approached the reception, the card for the room with the keys was already ready! Even the name on the card was already filled in before we gave the passports for registration! It was very strange... Either TezTour, from which we flew, did such a great job, or the hotel has a super-settlement system (which is unlike previous reviews... ). In short. . . very quickly and unexpectedly!

We like to relax close to nature, so we prefer bungalows. We settled in a Family room bungalow in the center of the territory. 46 m2, quite spacious and comfortable with a small veranda - more than enough for a family vacation! The bungalow is stuffed with 2 TVs, one of them is LCD, 2 "Soviet" air conditioners, working a little noisier than usual, a shower, a hairdryer, a mini-bar, 2 beds, an armchair-bed, 2 armchairs, 3 bedside tables, 2 tables, a safe, a wardrobe, several mirrors and a garden set of chairs on the veranda. All from the 90's, but in very good condition. The main building of Sunrise was refurbished last year - everything is newer, the rooms are spacious, but the building itself is a little old and pretty worn... Starlight is more solid and comfortable, it smells new, the rooms are the same as in Sunrise. Being in a room or on the floor with rooms, you can confuse which building you are in! Starlight's bungalow was not visited. . . The main restaurant in Sunrise is also more rundown. There are always a lot of tables and there is enough space for everyone, but... half of the tables are located in the building (with air conditioning), half are outside under a canopy
(if you came from the beach from the scorching sun - it's stuffy outside) and there are fewer free tables in the room. It is impossible to dine in the main Starlight restaurant on the street, since there are no sheds there, but indoor air conditioning is much better than Sunrise's. Many people prefer to dine in Starlight's premises, so empty seats there are snapped up and you may not find it on the first attempt to bypass the restaurant. You can dine and even many people prefer it on the street and in the evening with free tables in Starlight, things are much easier. In the grotto bar under the VIP relaxation pool and in the Sunrise Snack Bar, you can also have a good lunch with almost the same assortment as in the main restaurants of both hotels. In several places on the territory you can intercept the famous Turkish gozleme cakes - very tasty, but due to the large number of people who want to wait, it takes a long time, which is unbearable in the heat.
The territory is large and well-groomed. Directly botanical garden - many different plants and trees. All this is located around numerous bungalows. Everything is very beautiful. Lots of greenery. Lemons, bananas, oranges, tangerines, pomegranates, peaches and much more. On the territory there are 10 swimming pools + 4 children's + 2 indoor (for 2 hotels). From the edge of the territory to the beach no more than 10 minutes of walking-turtle gait. A small water park, 17 tennis courts, 4 full-size football fields, a basketball court, 2 beach volleyball fields, a horse paddock and much more complete the chic grounds. Between the beach and Sunrise flows a river in which a lot of fish are teeming. They say that turtles were seen near the river in the evening. It is very beautiful to watch a lot of fish from the bridge leading to the beach, and if it weren’t for the “pigging” of individuals throwing bottles, cigarette butts, papers and other products of their life into the river, it would be too beautiful.
The beach is large, taking into account the territories of 2 hotels, separated by the confluence of the river coming from Sunrise. Grayish sand, at the entrance to the sea a wide strip of pebbles. Worse than in Belek and Lara, but better than in Kemer, Alanya and Marmaris. The beach is cleaned, but for some reason irregularly (such an impression). The sea is azure! Water +27 +30. On the territory of Sunrise there is a pier from which you can dive, in Starlight there is a floating platform! Very clean and clear in the morning. When the sea wakes up and water sports are activated, it becomes a little cloudy. Somewhere around 11:30 - 14:30 unpleasant surprises begin: a dozen tourist yachts pass along the beach in a row and... miraculously, some time after this, the pelaton from the sea causes heaps of garbage! Packages, jars, cups, packages, napkins, sticks, clothes and other unpleasant crops. . . Very unpleasant!!!

The water park on site is good. Children's pool with slides and communal pool. The slides are decent, not very fast, but just right for a relaxing holiday. Not always liked the work of rescuers! Sometimes they did their job, sometimes they filonily! Sometimes the two of us hung out near one of the slides, not paying attention to what was happening on the others. . . On the blue slide there is a sign (drawn by hand) - you can't go up to 16! Sometimes they didn’t let them in, sometimes everyone rode! The interval of descent from the slides was sometimes not observed at all, which is why adults ran into small children when leaving the pool (it is logical that a 120-kilogram carcass flies much faster than a 20-kg child and reaches the goal faster), which sometimes escalated into conflicts between parents , in which rescuers and security guards (by the way, the main culprits of these actions, since they are obliged to regulate the order of descent) preferred not to interfere...
You can simply characterize the food: the usual Turkish economy class food! There is a lot of everything, but nothing especially tasty and memorable! For those who visit Turkey for the first time (and for those who have never been in hotels with really good food) - they will like it, for those who are not the first time - it may seem a bit poor. The meat assortment is dominated by chicken variety: chicken skewers, chicken shawarma, chicken wings, etc. A couple of times there was stewed veal and stewed lamb, once grilled beef tenderloin. The fish menu is the same as in Turkish 4 * and even 3 * - river trout and some other local fish, a couple of times shrimp in some kind of sauce (which, in my opinion, spoils everything). The sweet table also does not shine with a flight of fantasy and luxury: soaked puff pastry, cakes and baskets... The concept of Turkish delight and other famous Turkish sweets is not familiar to this hotel !! ! Summarizing, we can say that the hotel saves a lot on food! The level of mediocre 4 *-ki. In 2000, in Marmaris, 3 * food was tastier, more refined and more memorable! But, again, I repeat: for those who are in Turkey for the first time, or have not visited GOOD (in terms of nutrition) 5 *, they will like it! In all 5 * that I have visited before, and even in many 4 *, as far as I know, there is such a thing as a Turkish night, with all that it implies, including food! But this hotel was a surprise! Except for the Turkish flags hung everywhere, chefs dressed in T-shirts in the colors of the flag and Turkish-style evening dances - nothing else... : -( A strange concept of Turkish night! One name...
The animation is very strange! All of it flows near the main Sunrise basin! (aerobics, water polo, sometimes water volleyball, sometimes the animator just didn't show up. . . and some other games) They also say they do a good job with the kids, but there are a lot of paid activities, like painting a T-shirt ($20)! And that's it. . . A couple of times the Italian animators at Starlight walked along the beach and called for volleyball. The mini-football has an animator, if you can call it that. From 16:30 to 17:00 he seems to be engaged with teenagers, but from 17:00, when adults come, he turns around and leaves !! ! - type play yourself, and he goes to young girls to pester! And this despite the fact that usually 20-25 people gathered and, at least, the organizer
was needed! They played with their own ball! But when everyone who had a ball flew away, there was nothing to play with... At first, we were looking for an animator for a long time throughout the hotel, when we found it under a palm tree with girls, we barely asked for something similar to a ball (! ), He reluctantly went with us and gave some kind of enema (! ), which after 15 minutes expanded and burst! The next day, they chipped in and bought from what could be bought near the hotel... There can be no question of any help in organizing, not to mention equipment (balls, colorful capes, etc. )! As one of the hotel guides described - when compared with other hotels - there is NO animation here! For 15 years of rest in Turkey - for the first time so weak! Evening shows prepared by locals are impossible to watch with children!! ! All rooms are homosexually horny! But the hotel is a FAMILY! Why show the child and how to explain to him that one uncle bends over the other and "something" is trying to do???? ? When, after the start of the performance, half of the audience gets up and leaves - this is a sign that something is wrong! And it should reach the animators, but not for these... The same shows that the visitors are on the level! Acrobats, magician, water ballet, etc.... In Starlight there is live music and a disco, the latter sometimes hosted various brawls between pretty tipsy vacationers. Security, as in the Aqua Park, preferred to refrain from interfering, calmly watching what was happening from a safe distance!

Service is normal. The room was cleaned regularly and acceptable, but for some reason the veranda was forgotten all the time! A couple of times they made swans out of towels. The mini bar was also replenished, except once, but given the volume of work of the staff - it's easy to just skip - uncritical! In bars, restaurants, waiters also do a good job, the only exception is rush hours, when the whole mighty mass of tourists is breaking into the restaurant!
In general, nothing from the negative holiday did not spoil and we were very satisfied! The territory and infrastructure of the hotel favor a good rest!!!
I would like to recommend the hotel to improve the food system! Especially the meat and sweet part of it! Also, for example, it would be possible to do, as in many other 5 * hotels, days of various cuisines of the world, when, for example, Italian cuisine is offered on Mondays, French on Wednesdays, etc. Also, various holidays are held once or twice a week: an ice cream holiday with ice cream cakes, sweets holidays, etc. Also Turkish night should be Turkish night! It is also necessary to urgently establish the work of animators, rescuers and security guards!
Concluding the review, we can summarize: the hotel is not bad, worth the money, there are shortcomings and unpleasant little things, but... who does not have them?
Thanks for a good vacation!
