We traveled as two families with children. The hotel was chosen based on the price / rating ratio. We used to rest several times in Kemer, we decided to change something and went to Side. Vonresort Golden Beach, where we rested, is located next to two more Vonresort hotels. You can walk freely on all 3m, swim in the pools and attend evening shows, but meals are only at your hotel.
We chose Golden Beach because of the large green area, Turkish architecture and two-story bungalows (in two neighboring hotels - multi-storey buildings, in high-tech style).
The food is excellent, tasty and varied.
Alcohol is of good quality, poured into glassware without any problems. Bartenders and waiters do not ask for tips. They behave politely and affably.
Good gym, there is a free sauna and Turkish bath in the spa.
Location, cleanliness, service - excellent.
Animation was rather weak, due to the fact that half of the animators worked the first season, still untested, so to speak. But the guys are very good.

Evening shows are average.
Of the features of the hotel - very families with small children, really a family-type hotel, so the animation is calm, not noisy, loud music (DJs, karaoke, etc. ) until 23, maximum until 23:30. But you can go to a nearby hotel or to the pier, there until 3-4 nights the movement.
The rooms are tired, but everything works properly. It is better to take family suites. They are much more comfortable than the standard (if there are free family suites, you can not overpay in advance, but pay $ 50 extra at the reception, during check-in).
Of the pluses - + 3-4 degrees higher temperature than in Kemer and much more sun (which is important for the month of May).
Of the relative disadvantages - a hotel "for Russians", 80% of vacationers are Russians, about 10% are Ukrainians, the rest are Germans, Dutch and locals. This ratio must be taken into account - elements of "tagil" and overly drunken characters came across more than we would like.
In general, I would give the hotel a strong 4 stars, it falls short of 5.
Previously, we rested in Limak Limra, in Kemer, this is a strong 5, without comment.
The Side district itself is not as beautiful and elegant as Kemer or Tekirova, it is poorer.
As for excursions - if you buy at the hotel from the hotel guide, it will be more expensive. You can leave the hotel, turn left and walk down and then up the street. After 15 minutes on foot you will reach a rather large bazaar, where you can skimp well - the prices are pleasantly pleasing, both for things and for sweets and fruits. There are also tour operators that sell local excursions for half the price of the hotel. With the same set of services, you can save a good amount in this way.
We went to the Green Canyon - a beautiful, calm boat trip, I recommend it.
Oceanarium - for an amateur, for such a price is a little expensive.
Water park (one of the largest) - they say it's cool, but we had enough slides in the hotel.

Bottom line: a good, large and green hotel for a quiet relaxing family holiday, with excellent food. Stay satisfied. For young people looking for active recreation, noisy and loud animation with various competitions, foam parties and discos, it is better to choose another hotel.
