Hello!
We rested in Mocco Beach Villa 3 * 7-18.01. 22 with my husband and a group of friends.
What can I say about the hotel: cute, small (16 rooms in a 4-storey building + 4 separate types of "bungalows", but in fact just rooms with a separate entrance and a private terrace).
I didn’t immediately forget about the rooms: don’t take the first floor to the building, it’s terribly dark, damp, with a window into a blank wall, just crypts. The rest of the floors and bungalows are pretty decent, with balconies and a beautiful view of the ocean (the views are only in the building, the bungalow overlooks the path leading to the beach).
The rooms are modest but clean, a large bed with a good mattress, clean linen, a refrigerator, air conditioning, an electric kettle, cups, glasses, coffee (instant), sugar, tea, they give a bottle of water every day.
Cleaning every day if you want.
Kendwa beach is gorgeous, there are almost no low tides, unlike other beaches.

Very cozy separate area with umbrellas, lots of palm trees, sunbeds and beach towels.
The restaurant is right on the beach, very convenient - had breakfast and the ocean. But the breakfasts themselves, of course, are surprisingly meager. But this is not Turkey and Egypt))) Omelet, scrambled eggs, toast, pancake with jam and a fruit plate, coffee, tea and fresh juice.
I recommend taking a few sticks of dry sausage and cheese with you. We brought with us for breakfast and so it was quite enough to hold out until dinner.
There is no problem with food on the island, sea fruits are very cheap and tasty.
In restaurants on the beach and on the street, you can have tasty and not expensive lunch and dinner. Seafood and fish in Zanzibar is full.
And you can also buy fish from fishermen right on the beach and in any restaurant they will cook it for you for 10-20.000 shillings, as you agree 1 $ = 2300 shillings).
You need to bargain everywhere, that's how everything works there. In shops, on the beach, for excursions.
Take excursions from local agents on the beach, do not be afraid. And usually tourists recommend word-of-mouth the boy-agent with the most normal price list.
We took all the excursions from Luka, a nice guy and speaks Russian quite well. At the tour operator, everything is quite expensive and we traveled in the same bus))).
Be careful with the sun, do not forget that this is the equator and the sun is very active there.
After 9:00 swim in a shirt (very comfortable ones with a hood are sold there for $15) and use a strong "50" protection, especially in the first 3-4 days.
On the ocean, a pleasant warm wind constantly blows and you don’t feel the heat and it’s dangerous.
Many, as we say, "sour cream" on the first day, from the joy that they saw the ocean, forgot about the activity of the sun, and then slept standing up for 2 days. the body was a complete burn.
Even during low tide (this falls on the full moon) there are a lot of hedgehogs at the bottom, so during low tide it is necessary to swim in a special one. shoes.

About mosquitoes and mosquitoes: they are not there.
Those. they are but not in the coastal part. If you go up to the village, into the jungle, then there are plenty of them, but there are none directly near the ocean. the constant wind does not give them the opportunity to land on you.
All rooms have mosquito nets.
You can talk a lot about Zanzibar and it's better to come and see for yourself.
We travel a lot and never take "5" and all inclusive on the exotic. you can eat pasta and pizza at home, but lobsters, crabs, shrimp, etc. are not everywhere.
Tanzania is a 70% Muslim country and there is no pork but chicken, beef, fish and seafood in every restaurant.
If you are going on an excursion (and I recommend visiting the savannah of Mikumi Park, Vanishing Island, Turtle Island... ), then be sure to take linen pants, caps, long-sleeve shirts.
The sun at noon is just super active and people in coats are seriously burned.
There is also a local Massai population, very colorful and their children are very happy with sweets. So bring some sweets and treat the kids on the beach, in the fishermen's village. Grab a couple of chocolates and treat the waiters. They are like children enjoying something foreign)))
And another nuance, in the hotel in the building there is a problem with hooks in the bathroom, bring a few with Velcro and hang another rope on the balcony to dry the bathing suits (practical advice)))
I hope my story will help you to spend your vacation on this beautiful island even more pleasantly.
