Heaven on earth - Zanzibar!
I want to write, albeit briefly, but I hope, informatively about Tanzania and about Zanzibar in particular. We arrived in the middle of May (during the low season), but the weather was gorgeous, the ocean was warm, and there were at least a few tourists, as if the entire beach had been reserved for itself. We were on Nungwi and I advise everyone, we walked 2.5 km to Kendwa, but ours is better. We took all kinds of excursions, in the low season and the prices for them are low, we drove, we knew one thing: you need to bargain: yes, you can at least bring down the price by half, but the quality of the trip differs not from the price, but from who you are traveling with: from a travel agency not an option, the prices are three times expensive, plus a Russian-speaking guide, but if you don’t need it, why overpay, in general, English-speaking people in Tanzania have a green light, even small children learn and know this language, of course we don’t understand Swahili... ((( (
Swimming with dolphins, 130-year-old turtles on Prison Island, snorkeling, lunches on deserted islands, Sunset, Stone Town with Freddie Mercury's house and of course a safari... well, this is already on the mainland, we went to Mikumi National Park (not far , inexpensive and very impressive)... the island was simply struck by poverty, but with such beauty ..., such white sand, such nature that they did not have time in 13 days and enjoy... it is always a pity to leave from where your heart liked ....
from food: for 6-10 dollars. you can eat normally, they mostly have tuna, there is no abundance of shrimp and lobsters, the same story for fruits. I advise James the whipboy for excursions, I will drop a photo of his business card and even his photo; ))) he is also on Facebook, lives in Nungwi, perfectly organizes any excursions... the price is as you bargain, but the quality is super, it was just something to compare with, Therefore, I only advise him, an intelligent guy.
