A couple of days ago we returned from the Serbest Hotel in Alupka. Impressions about the hotel are mostly positive. The room was booked via the Internet for 1 month, sent 50 dollars. US advance payment, when we arrived at the place, there were no problems with the settlement. The photos of the rooms on the site are true (why someone expected the other is not clear). We had a free breakfast at the hotel, portions of course are not large, but it's breakfast. We ordered dinner at the hotel, so we can’t say if there are other cafes nearby or not, but they are at the bus station (you have to go down). The price of dinner at the hotel is the same as in the cafe (150-170 gr. for two, without alcohol). Portions, as it seemed to us, are quite large (after restaurant salads in mini vases), the taste did not let us down either. The rooms are clean, the truth is cleaned on demand and we took out the garbage ourselves, although you could ask the maid (we didn’t want someone to climb in our room every day). We did not swim in the pool, but we saw how it was regularly cleaned. There are sun loungers, tables, etc. , so in the morning or in the evening you can sit at the hotel, look at the sea, or just sunbathe a little. We were also very pleased with the free underground garage. The staff at the hotel are quite friendly.
The only minus in this hotel is the distance from the sea. Up the steep streets and stairs to go exactly 25 minutes (marked). For a week, we could not get used to the daily "climbing" at a temperature of + 35 degrees (the hotel offered us to use, if anything, their taxi, but we steadfastly held on and walked).
