Were in "Magnolia" with my daughter in July 2010. The junior suite meets all the standards of a solid "troika": TV, refrigerator, clean linen, good cleaning. I would like, of course, to have a shower, not a shower, but nothing, they survived. The maid was a tactful young girl who calmly responded to our requests and changed beach towels without any problems. Having visited not the first time in Ukraine, and not the first time in Alushta (in different boarding houses), we can say with confidence that the price is consistent with the quality. The fact that not everyone likes food is natural. Everyone has their own tastes. Buffet "Magnolia" should not be compared with Turkey or Egypt. This is an ordinary dining room where you can choose a dish to your taste, or eat at least something. My daughter and I didn't have much to choose from. For us, the food was just tasteless, but we experienced it very fun. Looking around in the dining room, and watching our neighbors gobble up both cheeks, we realized that we were obviously spoiled in food and therefore only smiled at these "culinary delights": chicken without meat, bread cutlets with a taste of meat or fish, and, of course on the other hand, shortbread cookies neatly cut into even pieces of 2.5x2.5 cm, all this can be washed down with dried fruit compote (mainly apples), because all other drinks run out very quickly, and pushing in line is not for us. In all this, we saw our charms, something, something, but we could not get better after such food, and that's great!
Another plus in maintaining good shape is the remoteness of the boarding house from the beach and the promenade. Through the tunnel from the beach, we returned 30 minutes of quiet walking. The PAZik bus during the peak season to the beach at 8.00 am and at 12.00 carries 40-45 people. It was cramped, stuffy, sometimes I just wanted to sit, but... The kids were seated, they gave way, and if there were cases when the child stood, then the parents themselves were to blame, who began to act incessantly, shove everyone and just insult other people. Who did not like the bus, went by taxi, and rightly so. There are a lot of people on the beach, as people joined the vacationers, who were allowed in for a certain bribe. But leaving for lunch and returning to the beach at 15.00, we calmly chose a place for ourselves. The beach is small pebbles. Entry into the sea for both children and adults is normal. By the way, the neighboring Spartak beach is inferior to Magnolia in this. Probably, for our positive attitude, the sea was kind to us. We rode the waves, and found the calm, and in the warm, like fresh milk, the sea soaked up. I would very much like the last bus from the beach to leave at least at 18.00. This is our only request to the administration.
In the evening we went for a walk on the embankment, in the park, sat in cafes. Prices are moderate: barbecue - 25-30 gr. for 100 g, salads - 30-65 gr. , beer - 10-25 gr. , what else, ice cream - 35-60 gr. , coffee - from 15 gr. Prices for attractions are also normal - from 10 hryvnia. If you want to eat in the dining room in the center, then the food there is much better than in Magnolia, it will cost 2 people within 100 hryvnias. You can book excursions in the boarding house, but since the buses are stuffy and for about 1 hour any travel agency circles around Alushta, first collecting tourists and then transporting them, we traveled on our own by minibuses, we like full independence more. The people are friendly and always willing to tell you how to get there.

Oh yes, the pool! It is very convenient when the beach is closed due to a storm. The water is warm and clean. There are not many people at the pool, and you can swim right up to 22.00 hours. By the way, it's not deep.
Thus, for people who are light on their feet and young people, this boarding house is quite suitable. It's probably hard with little kids. Although there are a lot of children of all ages, they quickly get to know each other and mess around by the sea.
The price and quality are fully consistent, and in order for the rest to be a success, just put more positive in your suitcase and treat everything with great patience.
