Whoever breathes Crimea breathes the joy of life...
Framed by fluffy clouds, the Baydarskaya valley gradually falls asleep. Amazing scenic spots! Clean mountain air, coniferous smell of juniper, the sound of waterfalls and the silence of a mountain lake - this is exactly what a city person needs.
We, weary travelers, find shelter for the night in the children's health camp "Atlantika", located near the village. Advanced, at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. It’s spring now, so you won’t hear cheerful children’s voices here, but adult visitors are welcomed in cozy guest houses all year round. Sauna, swimming pool, tennis, billiards… Now we are only interested in a warm bed.
The loud singing of birds heralds that morning has come. Real spring water flows from the tap, and the clean mountain air is simply intoxicating. I thought: this is where it would be great to have a rest in the summer for my nephew and all our Zaporozhye children, to communicate with nature, to ventilate their lungs. We decided to linger a bit and reconnoiter the situation on the spot. We were lucky, the general director of the Chernomor-Tour company Andrey Goncharov turned out to be in the camp, who told and showed everything in detail. The main feature of the holiday is that the first 10 days the children stay in the mountains - in the "Atlantic", and the next 10 - at the sea, the recreation center "Stroitel". I won't dwell too much on the conditions of living in the Atlantic, I will say in one word - good. Meals are five times a day, breakfasts and lunches are custom-made. The program is very rich, literally every minute of children's rest is painted. The staff is professional and therefore responsible and reliable. How do the guys manage so much in ten days? Sports relay races, circles, discos and events (for example, Fun Starts, Treasure Island, Mister and Miss Atlantic). And the main highlight - three lessons of equestrian sports, two each - archery and paintball (everything is included in the price of the tour). Plus a real hike in the mountains. And two wonderful excursions - a sightseeing tour of the historical center of Sevastopol (the city is located 45 km from the camp) and an inspection of the exposition at the Mikhailovsky battery. Looking ahead, I will say that our group visited the Heroic Sevastopol exhibition. This is a grand exposition in terms of coverage of historical events and the number of exhibits. The 23 halls of the museum reflect the heroic history of Sevastopol from the founding of the city to the present day in original lithographs, photographs, paintings, ammunition, weapons, uniforms, awards, etc.
It was with pleasure that we looked at the living corner and stands for archery in the Atlantic. And on the other slope there is a paintball range. Yes, not simple, with fortifications. And besides, there are also sports grounds and a real pool. A five-minute walk is a marvelous lake called Upper. It’s cold, we didn’t swim, but we couldn’t deny ourselves the pleasure of riding horses and playing paintball.
However, the road is calling. And now we are already following the children's route, which is being developed and approved by the control and rescue service of Crimea. (Whatever you say, security in the camp is given increased attention. ) And there is something to see here. Baidarskaya valley or Crimean Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places in Crimea. No wonder there are many tourist routes organized here. An old road from Chersonese and Sevastopol to the South Coast used to pass through it. In the 18th century, the Sevastopol-Yalta road was built through the Baydarsky Gate Pass. And only with the advent of a new highway in 1974 through the Laspi tract - the importance of Baydar began to fade. Here is the largest freshwater reservoir in Sevastopol - the Chernorechenskoye reservoir, artificially created on the Chernaya River. And also the famous Chernorechensky canyon. In this place, the waters of the Black River for many millennia cut a narrow passage through the marble-like limestones. The river, squeezed by steep walls rising to the sky, overcomes rapids with a roar, waterfalls covered with foam thunder, whirlpools spin in deep grottoes. A narrow and winding path either sneaks along the left bank at the very edge of the water, then climbs steeply for tens of meters along a cliff overgrown with forest, then again rapidly descends to the water. Finally, the river breaks out of the gorges of the Inner Ridge and flows through the Inkerman Valley to the bay.
There are several versions about the name Baidarskaya Valley. According to one of them, the name of the village of Baydar or Baidary, since 1945 Orlinoe, comes from the Tatar "bay-dere" - "rich man's ravine" or "rich ravine". And all because of the fertile local lands. But in the Crimean Tatar song "Baidarava Yollary", "Baidarava" is translated as "Baidar Valley". In general, as the 19th century writer Yevgeny Markov said: “Whoever breathes the Crimea, he breathes the joy of life, poetry, longevity. Hurry to leave for the Crimea, who can, while there is still time . . "
