A vacation you wouldn't wish on your enemy
I never thought I would be writing such a negative review. But… there is a first time for everything.
We decided to go with my parents to rest in the Crimea. End of August 2012 We had never been there before. We chose a hotel for a long time. In the Solana Tour travel agency in Tula, we were offered the Vanadella Hotel. They painted everything on a super level. We chose a 2-room suite with a balcony and a sea view. To the sea 600 m. Normal. Hot and cold water around the clock, because. The hotel has independent water supply. Room cleaning. In general, whoever wants to can look for information himself. Everything is on the site. Transfer to the hotel on a comfortable bus. Everything is as it should be. Paid, began to wait for the day of departure.
And he came... And then "miracles" began.
The bus provided by LLC "Kollonada" (possibly Kaluga) turned out to be broken. He, of course, was driving, but in a strange way. Some jerks. I don't think these are the drivers. Considering that they dragged this rattletrap to Sudak. We repaired at all stops. Between Koktebel and Sudak, something went wrong on the bus. As a result, we drove along the serpentine itself without air conditioning and with a constant squeak. Apparently, the on-board computer or something like that signaled in this way that there were malfunctions. With difficulty, we reached our destination.
Accompanying. . . It's just a song. Young man. Anton. You won't get a word from him. Stopped. Why they stopped will not say for how much - too. Where is the toilet? They searched by smell. Or run after him. It's not the first time he's been on this road. But this trick was successful if we kept up with it. More often. He just quickly made his feet away from the bus.
5 hours at the border. . . It's hard. It's boring. Good thing the weather was good. You could walk along the track.
30 hours on the bus, but we are finally there. They met us in a small car (a la gazelle, but smaller). 12 people with suitcases. Naturally, not everyone got in. It's good that at least things were taken.
Everyone gathered in the yard on two half-broken benches. And then it turned out that after the road they still want to give us a lecture! Schaz! They weren't attacked. We demanded accommodation. The hostess did not like it, but we were settled.
Finally, a room... But... The promised balcony and sea view are not! We went to the owners to clarify. Uselessly. Reconciled. It was assumed that it would be possible to dry things in the yard. Nowhere else.
We didn’t even have time to decompose a little, we went for the money. It was necessary to pay a tourist fee of 30 hryvnia and 10 hryvnia TRANSFER to the hotel (this is the one that carried things. ) They said that it was divine!! ! This is the first time I've encountered such arrogance. Everywhere to the hotel was delivered free of charge.
After 30 minutes, we still went to listen to the lecture. The hostess (former head teacher of the school) began to read notations to adults in a mentoring tone.
It turned out:
- they turn off the water from midnight until 6 am (instead of the promised round-the-clock supply). You see, water delivery is bad. But why this has become our problem, I personally do not understand;
- electrical appliances, such as a boiler, kettle, iron and others like them, cannot be used. They even seized the iron and coffee maker from some of the vacationers from the room and promised that they would bill them for electricity. (I wonder how they even found these devices in the room? They didn’t say);
- you can eat melon or watermelon only on the street, because in the room, these fruits are all gnawed, dripped, and the owners will bill for the damaged things. You can eat them outside, there are tables. But, given that these tables are for other rooms, and not for our building, then we could simply “ask” from there;
- it is impossible to smear with cream and sit on a chair / bed / sofa, because. the cream will ruin what you sit on by mistake and the owners will bill you for the damaged thing;
- Leave the key with them. So accepted. (Left, it's more convenient when there are three adults in the room). Until one moment. My mother and I somehow came from the beach, and the owners went somewhere for a walk. It’s good that it’s not far, but for about 15 minutes we sunbathed in the yard in the sun;
- it would not hurt them to report where and when we are leaving, supposedly the owners are responsible for us;
- in the bathroom, keep the light on for no more than 20 minutes. Otherwise, the fan will burn out. (Three adults in the room. Problematic. I wash myself for 40 minutes. Of these, I wash my hair for 20 minutes. I have long hair that needs care);
- at night, when there is no water, do not forget to turn off the taps. Otherwise, the pump will work and the owners will go looking for someone who has a tap open or a toilet that is leaking and will issue an invoice;
- there is no kettle (there is no kitchen. We immediately knew this. We thought that they would give a kettle). Instead of a kettle, we must buy drinking water from stores. We put it on the steps and they will boil it for us and put out thermoses. I can tell right away that it's inconvenient. Mugs were requested separately. Three people were given one plate and three mugs. When they asked for a knife, they answered: “Buy it. Everything is cheap here. ”;
- Do not leave things on the beach unattended - steal.
Some basic rules of conduct.
Number. Not bad, though without a balcony. High ceilings. New building. But an attic suite is not a suite. There are no such. The roof is heated. The air conditioner doesn't help. The air conditioner is not very powerful. It is not enough for two rooms, but without it there would be a gas chamber. TV with satellite dish. Of the huge number of channels, three were constantly shown. The rest, if you're lucky. There were a few more channels on weekends. There was a refrigerator. Small, but big and not needed. There was no kettle. You won't be able to drink tea. You can snatch a thermos and use it. We honestly bought water and left it. The first three days there were no problems with thermoses. They showed up regularly. Then the interruptions began. Not everyone carried water. Why others who donated water should suffer, I don’t understand. Yes, and figs with that thermos. I'm not even sure that bottled water was boiled. There was sand in the thermoses. This sediment was 15 percent of the entire contents of the thermos. Disgusting. Next, there was a sofa in the room. Broken. Only his father could handle him. Mom and I didn't even get close to him. We could not assemble or disassemble it. Strength was not enough. The sheet given to the sofa turned out to be small in length. 25 cm was not enough to cover the sofa completely. It came with two armchairs and a small glass table. There were no mirrors in the rooms. Good bed in the second room. Large and comfortable. Two nightstands. Two sconces above them. Chandelier. It may be funny that I mention it, but there is a catch. There were exactly two light bulbs in two chandeliers. Not 4 in one and 5 in the other by the number of shades. And two, by the number of chandeliers. There was a catastrophic lack of lighting in my room, but when my father asked for at least one more lamp, he was refused.
Shower. Normal. They provided a roll of toilet paper and three kitchen towels. (30x70cm). Well, at least they hung a mirror and that's good.
The water was indeed turned off. In order not to get into trouble with the toilet, we collected water in 5-liter water bottles. This saved us. Once the water was turned off at 23:30. Dad didn't even have time to shower. What to do? Went to the showdown. Something, but the father knows how to convince. The water was turned on. At one in the morning, when the parents were already asleep, there was a knock. I open. The owner stands and asks: “Nothing is leaking with you, otherwise the pump is working with us? ”. We didn't have any issues, which is what I said. So, 5 minutes after this visit, the water was cut off.
More about the beach (we often went to the beach near the "Brigantine"). We decided on the day of arrival in the evening to crawl to the beach. Went. Lie somewhere. The beach is full to capacity (paid too). We stood at the parapet of the embankment. At least they took a dip. I ran to take a place on the beach early in the morning. I got up at the beginning of the seventh and ran. The beach itself is dirty. Cigarette butts, cups, glass. . . No one will ever bother to come up and throw it away at the urn. And no one is going to clean the beaches either. Almost everyone walked through people. More than once or twice stepped on the bed cover next to me. The contingent rests different. The lion's share is scandalous. Either they put the umbrella in the wrong place, then, in general, they sat in the wrong place. The smell on the beach is also not ice. From the beach "cafe" smells of overcooked butter. From the stink river, as you might guess, it stinks. The feeling is that this drain is straight from the toilet, which is on the promenade above the beach. On the beach, the so-called. water sports. Bananas, scooters, catamarans. . . As always. People with imagination worked there. Called to use their services cool. Riding a banana. I like it. Blue Bay, where we went on a banana, is the cleanest. It is a pity that the royal beach is closed. I had to be content with five minutes of swimming, jumping straight from a banana. Still great.
Zander. Separate song. I did not like. Some dirty. Constant smells of either sewage or rotten garbage. On the cypress alley, cafes constantly smell of food and overcooked butter. The cacophony of smells kills the sense of smell. Clean up the city badly. At 7 am I go to the beach, but I don't see the janitors. Swinging hours to 10. Russian roads. In the sense that there are no roads, there are directions. Somewhere there is asphalt. We had nothing on most of the road to the hotel. The ground was rolled, sprinkled with small gravel. Walking even in sneakers was a problem. I lost my new sandals. It's a pity…
Cafe, etc. We ate at the Vostok diner. The only thing we can say thank you to the owners. We wouldn't have found it on our own. Well prepared, wide menu, large portions, tasty. Serve quickly. We tried once to go to the cafe "Strawberry". In the evening we were served quickly, and in the afternoon we did not wait for normal service. The order was knocked out, otherwise you can’t call it.
Road back. Estimated time at the hotel is 8:00 local time. At the beginning of the seventh morning of the day we were leaving, there was a knock at the door. We were informed that there would be a bus at 7:30 and we had to vacate the room by that time. We did it, and then another hour sunbathing in the yard, waiting for the notorious bus. Did not come. Then we were taken to the meeting point with the bus (although they didn’t take money for this. ). Then we went by minibus to Feodosia, where the bus home was waiting for us. Another arrived. With Tula numbers. At first glance, even better than the one that was taking to Sudak. But this is at first glance... We had just driven off, as the luggage compartment opened. And so three or four times. Then the floor began to rise in the bus. The first stop was at the market by the road. It was not possible to go to the toilet normally. They climbed into some thorns. Then we stopped at some roadside cafe. Toilet a la Russian. Hole in the floor. And it's raining. And from the guide again not a word, not a word. In general, back stops were not a fountain. Where did they find them so good....At night after the border we drove non-stop for 6 hours. When the miracle did happen, I had to look for a toilet with dogs. Found. Again, running after the escort. Well, with sin in half, we got to Tula.
To our regret, after a hard road, we forgot our beach umbrella on the bus. We called the agency, but they answered us in an unhappy tone: “Do you know how many people like you are among us? ” It immediately became clear that no one would even be puzzled by the search for an umbrella.
This is how “good” we spent our long-awaited vacation. I hope that if you decide to go to Sudak, then such a fate will not affect you.
