The truth about the Helios hotel: the rooms are pre-revolutionary, ragged, dirty; there are flies everywhere in the dining room, the food is monotonous, tasteless, there is no culture of service; in the medical building there is a complete lack of the concept of hygiene (especially baths and dirt). The service staff is rude, in the dining room those who are on the distribution immediately go and clean the dishes from the tables, do not wear protective masks or hang on the chin (and this is in the midst of a pandemic). … More ▾ The truth about the Helios hotel: the rooms are pre-revolutionary, ragged, dirty; there are flies everywhere in the dining room, the food is monotonous, tasteless, there is no culture of service; in the medical building there is a complete lack of the concept of hygiene (especially baths and dirt). Here you feel humiliated and insulted. Do not go to this sanatorium on a social ticket, you will not get health or rest here.

We went to Helios with my wife for two weeks. Well rested and healed. We chose the hotel because a child needed mud treatment, but it turned out that they treat mud only from the age of 6. The sea is nearby in a 5-minute walk and Moinaki Island is nearby, although they say that the mud there is no longer healing . . because. Fresh water got in, but the water there is sea salt and therefore it is recommended to walk for 15 minutes. The package included the following percentages: mud. Exercise therapy, salt room and baths. The main thing is to leave time at sea! It’s better not to get carried away with procedures. Mud and massage are quite enough . . Near the city and park in a minibus (for 10r) it takes 5 minutes to go, but they don’t have transport after 21:30. Only a taxi is 100r. The beach is very good for children . . fine and sandy. Be sure to collect shells, boil at home and paste over the photo frame. from the sea . . we turned out very beautiful . . we also covered them with nail polish for shine and glued the beads into shells. At the nearest city market (10 minutes drive to the Furshet stop . . there you can see rows of market tents) you can buy cheap bysy from river pearls 150r. small-600r. large. Tomatoes and cucumbers for 25 rubles per kg. Plays for children are organized in the neighboring hotel. Every Friday in the summer, festivities are held at the Gezle Gates.
What I didn't like: Rooms. . on the 3rd floor. very old with old with old plumbing . . we changed it to 4th floor . . there are also old rooms at the same price, but the plumbing is decent. Problems with hot water according to the schedule . . from 7-8 in the morning then at about 12 and from 7-8 in the evening, and after 23 and the cold is turned off, that even the pot had to be washed with mineral water : ) If you need mud and not expensive massage and the sea then you can rest here. Naturally, the procedures need to be beaten out . . once again they themselves will not offer. The food is very monotonous and all meat products . . whatever they are called are made the same in taste . . minced bread. The children ate and so did we. Portions are big. I didn’t pay for food for a child of 2 years. because for breakfast, in addition to porridge, they also give vegetables with a cutlet and hot dinner + casserole with yogurt. Children 4 and 2 years old.

Entertainment only in the city. I didn’t go for treatment, my wife went through everything that is included in the ticket and dragged a small one for inhalation instead of me. We went on excursions (they sell it right in the dining room). For the money you can hardly find better. Maybe back in September we will arrive prices will be like in June.

Visited this resort as a family with children. Cons: "treatment" - only 1 procedure per person is free, the rest - for money. I was assigned a bath, my wife - mud (despite the fact that they saved it, you see the import of mud is designed for the season; )). The rooms are something. The furniture has apparently not been updated since the opening of the sanatorium, there is mold on the wall, covered with wallpaper (the staff did not even bother to pick them by color), ants. … More ▾ Visited this resort as a family with children. Cons: "treatment" - only 1 procedure per person is free, the rest - for money. The furniture has apparently not been updated since the opening of the sanatorium, there is mold on the wall, covered with wallpaper (the staff did not even bother to pick them by color), ants. I will not describe the bathroom - there are simply no decent words, how lucky you are with it. I was lucky (water flowed out of the shower where it was needed), but my wife was not. If they write "refrigerator on the floor" - it's not true. The rooms are cleaned every 2-3 days, the linen is changed when you ask more than once (they may say - "why didn't you wash it"). Cold water from the tap is not to be drunk or boiled, I conjure! Hot according to the schedule (from 7 to 9 and from 19 to 21). Apparently the owners are squeezing the last juices out of the room fund, and money out of the visitors : ), not thinking about development. Fan rental - 10 hryvnia per day. Air conditioners? No, we haven't heard : ). The location of the 220 V sockets in the room made me wildly delighted - at a height of two meters from the floor (you can see that the boilers could not be connected). Not all rooms have refrigerators and TVs, but there is cable routing for TVs, so happy owners of portable TVs can be satisfied (you need to get an adapter from RG-6 to the antenna input in advance). Food can be legendary. This is a chilling picture, different from the image of the dining room on the site of the sanatorium : ). The menu is "custom", but this is what shift you get. If young waitresses work, then you will eat the ordered dish, but if you are in a shift of powerful women of catering hardening, then do not be surprised that the ordered dish suddenly "ended" (the pronunciation is preserved), there is one kettle for several tables, 2 knives for 4 people at the table (what a charm), while it will seem to you that you were born in vain and with your presence you are very upsetting powerful women. Moreover, the ratio of meat / garnish is approximately 3 to 1 (for example, a bunch of potatoes and 3 pieces of meat - well, nonsense, nevertheless, "this is a fact, " as Monsieur Duke from The Elusive Avengers said). Pluses - the territory is more or less well-groomed, there is where to walk. There is free wi-fi near the medical building, you can also catch it on the territory of building 4 (as you are lucky, you can catch it near the entrance, on the playground, on the balconies and even in the rooms). The sea is literally a 5-minute walk to the beach. Entrance to the beach according to sanatorium books, there are sun loungers. The water is clean, the beach is small, but for children, the second beach is a little further, deeper there. Travel to the city center and shops / markets by minibuses No. 6.9, 10, stop nearby, fare 2.75 hryvnia. Exchanger in the medical building, the exchange rate is good (better than in kiosks). Moinaki Lake is not far from the sanatorium, I advise you to go there every other day, as for procedures (the doctor said that it takes 20 minutes for adults, and 7 minutes for children), the depth of the lake is from 0.5 to a meter, so you won’t drown ; ), in the same place in the lake you can powerfully smear yourself with mud, but remember that the effect will be if its layer is thin, so that the mud warms up in the sun, otherwise there is zero sense. In the bottom line - if you want to go back in time - welcome : ), otherwise - look for housing in the city, and treatment in other sanatoriums - this will be the best scheme, we were convinced of this by the example of our friends on vacation - they stayed, saw everything and they dumped this into a rented room (with TV, air conditioning, normal furniture and a home kitchen, and it cost them less per person than in Helios).

We rested in Helios in October 2010. All buildings are located at a distance from each other (2 residential buildings, a canteen building and 2 medical buildings). This causes extreme inconvenience, especially when you do not have time from one procedure to another, or you move with wet hair in a cold wind (unfortunately, this autumn turned out to be abnormally cold for this time of the year in the Crimea). … More ▾ We rested in Helios in October 2010. The area around residential buildings and administrative buildings looks abandoned and uncleaned. There is a lack of staff responsible for cleaning - in total we managed to see only two janitors, and not very trying to do their job.
The appearance of the buildings themselves rather resembles pre-revolutionary museums that require emergency repairs (do not believe the colorful advertising photos on the sites).
Inside the buildings, the situation is not much better - the walls, plumbing, electrical wiring need a major overhaul, which, if carried out here, is frankly careless! A neighbor with asthma found mold on the wall under her bed! There is a terrible smell from the garbage chute in the corridors, and the stench from the Soviet bathrooms is in the rooms. So that the room would not be sadly provided with a wired radio broadcasting “First Nat. radio". I had to forget about the TV and the refrigerator immediately.
Hot water is strictly on schedule, but even in these allotted 2 hours it was rarely possible to visit the shower - either there was no pressure, or it was barely warm.
The sanatorium is clearly a "summer" type. The curtains constantly stirred from the wind blowing through the cracks. The temperature in the room was 11-15°C. Fans of outdoor activities and entertainment were also disappointed - no tennis courts or sports grounds are provided, as well as a cinema hall promised in advertising.
About nutrition. The food is very poor. The basis of the diet is noodles and porridge. For 2 weeks from fruit they gave 1 apple, pear and a small bunch of grapes. The fresh vegetables chosen on the menu turned out to be just a slice of tomato or a slice of cucumber. Sometimes for dinner they gave kefir with a bun. The kettle had to be looked for. he is here alone for 2-3 tables. Surprised and the presence of only 2 table knives (very blunt) for 4 persons. From the well-fed faces and the boorish treatment of the staff, it becomes clear that mass theft in the kitchen has become commonplace here.
The only thing that at least somehow pleased was the medical base. But if you really want to improve your health, then you will have to pay extra for everything.
Our neighbors also shared their impressions. Mostly people are disappointed, and rested here for the first and last time. We learned from the local Yevpatorians that according to the rating, Helios is in last place in the city.
To everyone who dares to rest here, I wish you to stock up on nerves and sincerely wish you good luck.
I am adding a personal photo report to my review.

Citizens! Do not believe the advertising and managers of the sanatorium "Helios". Disgusting rest and treatment. All buildings are full of ants, rotten plumbing, and food (if THAT can be called food) is gruel! In the season of vegetables and fruits (September) - they give canned seaweed, all soups on the water, no piece of meat, no apples, no tomatoes, no other fruits - vegetables! In a seedy Soviet canteen, the food was a thousand times better! Treatment had to be bought for an additional fee in other sanatoriums: there is no hydromassage, no Charcot's shower, mud, and those "with the greatest permission" (do you understand how? ) Doctor Kopeiko. … More ▾ Citizens! The management of the sanatorium does not respond to complaints from vacationers.
There is simply no entertainment.
We remember with bitterness the wasted money and nerves. Look for other sanatoriums, just DO NOT COME TO "HELIOS"!

It was like this, we arrived with a young man a day earlier, threw things in the helios and went for a walk, returning, we were offered a room for the night, we agreed. In the morning we went to the emergency department, the decoration there was terribly slow, they settled us in the 2nd building and, surprisingly, we got a room much better than the first one! . . I didn’t see them)) the food is quite normal, it could be worse))! 2x! refrigerators for! whole! the body was very lacking, so if you took fruit, you had to eat them promptly. another problem, it’s probably not going to the sanatorium, but there is not enough lighting in the evenings on the streets near the sanatorium, it was creepy to walk back from the embankment) on the pluses, these minibuses will take you quickly anywhere and not expensive (they just finish going to 21.30 (last minibus)) good shopping centers are Furshet and ATB (low prices). We did not begin to be treated, we decided to be content with the sea, the sun, so if you are not much interested in amenities, but want to soak up the sun, then this economy resort is for you!
