The last time I was in Yevpatoriya was about 10 years ago, as a teenager, in a "pioneer" camp. Yes, and not in Evpatoria itself, but in some of its suburbs. Yes, and not in Evpatoria itself, but in some of its suburbs. We were taken to the city on an excursion, all that was remembered was a single-track tram, an embankment with two churches, yachts at the pier, a local history museum, an ice cream parlor and a shallow sea. To be honest, I never had a desire to go back there again for a vacation... And now, this year, realizing that it’s still, oh, how far before the vacation, and sitting for 3 days off (in honor of the Trinity) in a stuffy city is just sin, I decided to try to go to the sea. The cashier to my question: "Are there tickets somewhere in the Crimea? " answered: "Evpatoria-resort! " So, by the will of fate and an employee of the South Western Railway, after many, many years, I again came to Evpatoria. But this is a lyric. . .
So, the hotel "Crimea". When choosing a hotel, I was guided by the categorical requirement of my husband: "I will live only in the city, and not in a sanatorium madhouse! " Hotel "Crimea" corresponded to this wish, it is located in the city center, on the street. Revolution, 46, a 5-minute walk from the Juma-Jami mosque. The sea is across the road from the hotel, though it's not a beach - the concrete embankment Tereshkova. You can walk to the sandy beach in 15 minutes, or take a tram. In general, "a city to the fullest" : ) My husband and I are fans of hiking, so we walked from the station to the hotel on foot (40 minutes). The hotel is small, located in a two-story building, on the first floor there is an apartment bureau and a salt cave, the hotel reception is on the second floor. We were warmly welcomed, offered, as I understand it, not the cheapest room "with conveniences" - 250 UAH. (without "amenities" - 80 UAH per person), they immediately warned that he was without a TV. They offered to inspect room number 19. The room was pleasantly pleased with the fresh renovation and new furniture. The room has a double bed, a coffee table, a bedside table, a hanger with a cabinet for shoes (it would be better to put a wardrobe). We were given 6 new towels (three per brother). There is a shower with hot water (boiler) and a toilet. Motorists have a place to park their car - the hotel has a patio (5 UAH per day).
And now the cons: unfortunately, we did not notice it right away, but THERE IS NO WINDOW IN THE ROOM! That is, nominally there is a window, but it goes... into the CORRIDOR! : ) And into a deaf corridor. From our window we could see the door of some tourist office. What caused such an "architectural solution" remained a mystery to us. The room has a battery, but no air conditioning, in order to ventilate the room we had to open the door! By the way, the door was glass, which is also not very pleasant, especially in the evening, when the light is on in the room, and your neighbors can watch your silhouettes from the corridor. During the two days that we lived in the hotel, our room was never cleaned and the garbage was not taken out. Although, to the credit of the staff, it should be noted that requests to "bring an iron" or "bring a coat hanger" were immediately responded to. We also had a problem with drying swimsuits and swimming trunks, it was not clear how and where to dry them. In the bathroom, the ventilation is so-so, I had to constantly open the door from the bath to the room. In general, as for one or two days, it is possible to "turn around", but I would not advise staying there for longer.
In general, we had a good rest. We swam in the sea (and this is June 15! ), walked along Karaimskaya street, drank excellent coffee in a Tatar cafe... I can say with a clear conscience: "The weekend was a success! " : ) If the opportunity presents itself, I will be happy to come to Evpatoria again time... Maybe even to the hotel "Crimea", if they get REAL windows and start cleaning the rooms : )
