ABOUT UKRAINE Palace HOTEL
We lived in a hotel Ukraine (4 *), in which we booked a two-room suite in advance, because. There were no single rooms left at that time.
In general, we liked the hotel. A modern building, a balcony with a wicker chair in every room, chic interiors in the halls and on the verandas, a chic restaurant interior, working elevators, kind staff: both maids, and in the restaurant, and at the reception.
The room had everything that is stated on the site: TV, split, refrigerator, spacious bathroom, in which everything worked. In the living room there is a fold-out double sofa bed, in the bedroom there are two beds that can be put together or moved apart as needed. Plus a lot of additional furniture - a dressing table with a mirror, a wardrobe, a desk, a coffee table, several chairs and an ottoman, a cupboard for dishes.

Minibar in the refrigerator - for an additional fee. Free of charge two 0.5 l bottles of drinking water per day, threads, buttons, toilet paper, soap, shampoos and shower gels. Towels were changed every day and given out 3 pieces per brother, bedding - once every 3 days, cleaning - every day. It’s even funny, but they got us with clean towels - we had to fight back sometimes, assuring us that we didn’t need to change anything, we wiped ourselves with them once, and then not all...
A special place is the pool - chic, huge. 3 containers - a knee-deep paddling pool for kids; jacuzzi; the main pool with a depth of up to 2 m. Around the pool there are countless sunbeds, chairs, tables. Even with a large influx of people, I never saw them all busy. In the courtyard of the hotel there is a summer cafe, a children's playground with a playground and swings, a restaurant's summer playground, massages, locker rooms. . . Free towels were also given out for going to the pool.
Even before the trip, getting acquainted with the reviews, I read that people complained that they let people from the street into the pool for a fee, and that there are a lot of children in the pool who interfere with rest... Yes, they let people from the street - but these are all decent people , not homeless, so they did not interfere with anyone's rest. Yes, there are a lot of families with children in the hotel, respectively, and a large number of children visit the pool, but they are not unattended. Each cub is watched by its parent, they swim in the paddling pool. So the children didn’t cause any particular concern... And then the pool is so healthy, and the area around it is so big that it’s impossible to say that everyone there bumps their priests against each other...
Also a special song is the breakfast buffet included in the price. It lasts from 8.00 to 10.30. Made a positive impression on us. Although I think that it was much more modest than what is offered in the many-sided Turkey and Egypt, it was always possible to eat to satiety. It was proposed: porridge (they changed it - either semolina, then oatmeal, then buckwheat), butter, sliced cheese of several types, sliced sausages of several types, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage salad, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, something meat (cutlets or chicken or fish or sausages), garnish (buckwheat or rice + squash pancakes). There was always pizza, something for tea, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, honey, jam, compotes, water, yoghurts. Sometimes there were pancakes, cottage cheese casserole and cottage cheese donuts, but not every day. All this could be absorbed without restrictions, traditionally it was impossible to take it out with you. Toward the end of breakfast, the tastier things were already over. For example, pancakes, for tea, pizza - after 10.00 it was already difficult to see.

Special words about the location of the hotel. Hotel Ukraine is located on Frunze Street just at the entrance to the resort pedestrian area. To the sea 3 blocks. I think that with the location of the hotel we were just very lucky. Firstly, the entire Frunze Park was spread out in front of us with its hundreds of souvenir stalls, a pedestrian zone, entertainment, hundreds of cafes, an aquarium, and a dolphinarium. A road with buses and minibuses and a tram line passed by. Secondly, the fact that the hotel is located outside the Frunze park itself is also a “+” - no discos were screaming around. It was 3 blocks to the sea, 20 minutes, but what is a 20-minute walk along the main entertainment pedestrian street of the city? Yes, this is a real pleasure, that on the way to the sea, that on the way back. Just had the opportunity to consider souvenirs, study excursions, explore cafes. Thirdly, the main entertainment embankment of the city, the embankment to them. Gorky. A couple of tram stops from the hotel - and we are on Duvanovskaya Street - the second walking pedestrian entertainment street of the city, and 4-5 tram stops from the hotel - and we are in the old city with its Gezlev gates, Karaite kenas and other joys of life. And if you do not go deep into the city, but turn towards the sea, then we are on the second promenade of the city - the embankment. Tereshkova. In short, I personally think that it is difficult to settle in Evpatoria more successfully. Although, given that the city is small, perhaps in many of its points one gets the same feeling...
But still, the hotel Ukraine is not a home, so let's designate a series of "-":
1) In rooms overlooking the street, and not the pool, it is really impossible to sleep with open windows. The tram runs until 12 at night and from 6 in the morning + cars drive + crowds of people walk until the morning. It didn’t bother me much, but I had to sleep with the windows closed;
2) The sofa bed in the living room had a real surface drop when unfolded by 5 cm in two places. It was clearly not comme il faut for my son to sleep on it. We treated this with humor, suggesting that by the end of the trip, his spine was curved in the right way by the steps, and it became habitual to sleep. However, at home such a sofa is only for disposal;
3) Hotel restaurant Ukraine: not Ice. We ate there once upon arrival (except for the included breakfast). We ordered modestly - for a salad, but for the second, and for a drink. It cost fabulously expensive - 480 gr. for two. The food quality was not the best. As a side dish: potatoes with mushrooms, the potatoes were not fried and were crunchy on the teeth. The salad, declared on the menu as a salad with salmon, eggs, greens, tomatoes and dressed with mayonnaise, turned out to be a bunch of greens seasoned with vinegar, which was topped with 3 pieces of lightly salted salmon. This work, which could hardly be pushed into oneself, cost 100 gr. In the menu, the prices were indicated alone, in fact they turned out to be 20 gr. more for each dish that was explained to us as an old menu that came across to us quite by accident. A 10% service charge is added to the bill, and plus the waiters claim a tip. Laughter and nothing more, we didn’t go to this restaurant anymore... I don’t recommend it...

4) My main claim to the hotel Ukraine is paid internet. Yes, there is internet throughout the territory, BUT!! ! From this year it is paid. We counted on a free one - we dragged a laptop with us. Turned out to be 10 gr. - hour. In my opinion, this is petty on the part of such a modern 4 * hotel, which claims to be something. At the same time, it was possible to use the Internet on their computer for free (also 1 hour), and on their own - for a fee. Looks like some kind of nonsense of the administration...
5) Well, I read in one of the reviews earlier that air conditioners are noisy in some rooms. Yes, we were noisy. But, given that it was a split, and that its working unit was on the balcony, and had to sleep with the windows closed, this noise was not supernatural, but quite noticeable, even with the vibration of the walls and the bed...
That's all. We all swallowed it for the first grade. They didn’t dwell on trifles, they were satisfied with the Hotel Ukraine. Evpatoria were satisfied. However, what is - she described... Draw conclusions, gentlemen, potential tourists...
