Review of Evpatoria (8.07. 2011 - 21.07. 2011) from tourists from Russia

In general, we liked it: the trip turned out to be very rich, we saw a lot, we were not lazy, we tried to entertain ourselves with new views, places, excursions, dishes...

Evpatoria has a lot of entertainment for tourists: beaches, cafes, restaurants, discos, an aquarium, a dolphinarium, hundreds of souvenir kiosks, a theater, cinema, excursions throughout the Crimea, a water park, evening entertainment on the embankments, yachts and ships, etc. from abroad, for example, the same living statues, plus they cultivate local attractions - ethnicity, Crimean Tatar cuisine, 2500 years of history, etc. Literally a year, as the city and its beaches began to really clean up, so that tourists feel comfortable...

Evpatoria is considered a children's resort, everything in it is adapted for family holidays, for families with children. The hotel with us is full of families with small children, starting from infancy. In the city itself, families with children on vacation and children's groups in children's sanatoriums - just the sea... And all the parents with strollers, i. e. no one carries children on themselves, everyone carries their children in strollers. And they go with them to cafes, go on excursions, visit beaches. The city has a huge number of children's attractions, trampolines, cages for climbing, cartoon characters for taking pictures, children's shows are held...

There are also good sanatoriums for the disabled in the city, and therefore there are many wheelchair users on the streets. Some of them are with relatives, some of them are very dexterous in wheelchairs with motors. And once we even ran into a disabled guy in a simple wheelchair, the wheels of which must be turned by hand, but he himself drove where he needed to, asking passers-by to help him. I drove up to the tram - asked - guys, drag me onto the tram, three men threw him into the tram along with the stroller, drove to the right stop - asked again - guys, let me down. People do not refuse, so he got where he needed...

Everyone in Crimea speaks Russian, we never met anyone who speaks Ukrainian there. . .

In Evpatoria, we were offered at every turn - excursions to any point in Crimea, exchange offices - hundreds of points around the city, souvenirs - hundreds of stalls with beads, Crimean ceramics, magnets, and other souvenirs; catering points - again, dozens at every step for every taste and budget; sea of children's entertainment. It was possible to eat from 80-90 hryvnia for two, and even in inexpensive places it is very tasty... Well, of course, if you go to a restaurant, or start overeating salmon, then this is already 400-500 hryvnia for two...

Some cafes in the city are also a local attraction. For example, near the Gezlev gates there is the best coffee house in the city "Kezlev Azbary" (Crimean Tatar cuisine). And in the old city, near the cultural and historical sights Karaite kenasy, there is a cafe with Karaite cuisine. These places are worth visiting both to try, and to see and feel the flavor of the city...

And all this except for the sea and beaches that stretch along the entire city. The entire coast is divided into separate beaches of 100-150 m. The closest to us was the central beach of the Frunze Park, which is next to the statue of "Hercules on Vacation", and we went there. Entrance - 5 hryvnia. Sun loungers and umbrellas for an additional fee. Although the beach is small, and one of the most central, it is clean, with a sale of drinks, ice cream, showers, changing rooms, massages. From the entertainment right on this small beach there was a slide, and bananas, and parachutes, and plates... There are really a lot of people, but no more than on the beaches of Anapa, and you can always find a place where to throw your bedding... We went to the municipal the beach, located a little further - ours is much better, after it they could not swim at the municipal...

Evpatoria is a city that lives for the season. And of course, all city residents try to make money on tourists: they rent out housing, sell souvenirs, paint pictures, arrange street shows, offer all sorts of backgrounds and animals for photographs. And tourists are happy to pay for all this...

Of the minuses, all the same, Evpatoria is very far from all excursion programs and all excursions are designed for 12-14 hours. It's very tiring. We visited 3 excursions, but they were literally wearing out, ie. specific fitness and sauna at the same time for many hours in a row... If the excursions were more reasonable, we would visit more places in Crimea...

But in general, we were very pleased - the vacation was clearly a success, we liked Evpatoria, and we actually fell in love with Crimea, well, we brought a lot of souvenirs for all friends and relatives and ourselves - ceramic and porcelain mugs with the symbols of the Crimean cities, agate beads, mother-of-pearl, beads, porcelain plates with symbols, Crimean teas, mountain honey, juniper kitchen decorations, Crimean ceramics, T-shirts with funny inscriptions, white clay, Turkish delight, paintings by local artists…

I recommend to those who have doubts!
