Christmas holidays have been planned since October. There were different options, but in the end they decided to stop at the winter Yalta. I didn't want to change the climate too drastically. Many raised their eyebrows in bewilderment: what to do in winter in the Crimea? Rest, comrades! In winter, Crimea is beautiful, there is some special charm in it.
With the hotel, too, for a long time could not decide. We reviewed all the hotels in Yalta and the nearby village. Because in winter, the question of the proximity of the sea did not stand in any way, they chose based on the proximity of the objects of interest to us, namely Yalta itself, the cable car and the Vorontsov Palace. Naturally, taking into account the cost, because. during the New Year holidays, prices in many hotels go through the roof! As a result, Ai-Todor-South won in a tough competition. But first things first.
Check-in to a room in Ai-Todor was supposed to be with us only at two in the afternoon. Therefore, when we, tired and exhausted, burst into the hotel at 8 o'clock in the morning hoping to at least leave our bags, the administrator's words: “Your room is ready, you can check in” were met with a joyful “Hurrah! ”.

However, seeing only the door of the room, our mood was slightly gloomy. And not because it's just old, pretty darkened from time to time and a dozen layers of varnish. It just looked like it had survived the bombing. The plaster chipped around and cracked paint do not make the best impression on vacationers. Anyway.
Booked "standard-south with air conditioning". Inside the room matched what we saw in the photo. And the TV, and the air conditioner, and the refrigerator - everything was available and worked properly. What can not be said about the soul. Let's start with the fact that a yellow spot on the ceiling and plaster periodically falling on your head is not great at all. There is no own boiler in the room, but we were assured twice that hot water would be around the clock. She really was, but for some reason it was enough for only one. The second had to wait about half an hour for something that vaguely resembles HOT water to flow from the tap. Probably the common boiler just can't handle it. And this is in winter, when there are not so many vacationers.
Another problem is the heating. On the second day of our stay in the boarding house, the central heating was turned off. We understand the reason for this incident. For "warming up" a heater was offered, but we did not take it, because. at that time, they had been warming themselves with a conder for two days. The closed room cooled down during the day, and there was nowhere to dry things. Generally unpleasant.
From the positive: I was pleased with the responsive and friendly staff, the presence of an elevator in the boarding house, a very good Silver cafe, and just a beautiful view from the room to the sea and Cape Ai-Todor.
Because I know that the administration reads the reviews on Turpravda, I would like to turn to them with wishes to bring room 314 in order after all (if I'm not mistaken). This applies primarily to the bathroom. Although the door with a prehistoric lock, old parquet and wooden windows, from which it blows great in winter, also, of course, do not add color to the room.
Good luck to you, and to your guests - have a good rest!
