We rested with my family (me, husband, son (10 years old) and daughter (4 years old) in June... We were very lucky with the weather - there were no storms, no lowlands, no cloudy days... Crimea met us with a friendly warm sun and gentle by sea. . . In June it's not stuffy at all, but there are still a moderate number of vacationers, the weather is fine, the sea is clean, already well warmed up. . . I think this is the best time to relax on the South Coast. . .
About the hotel. . .
The territory is really beautiful - roses, shrubs, cacti, many, many different flowers, the names of which are not known to me, are blooming... The aromas of flowers mix with coniferous notes of cypresses and junipers and are diluted with sea freshness... There is an exit to the Chair Chair, it is quite quiet there and secluded, but there is no regular cleaning of the territory, so there is an impression of neglect of this old green corner...

The residential buildings of the hotel are already quite worn out and require repair (with the exception of the recently commissioned villa Park Chair)... We lived in the 5th building on the 7th floor... TV (the remote control did not work - the programs were switched manually), refrigerator, kettle (leaking), 2 air conditioners... The sea view left much to be desired, as part of the seascape is blocked by a villa and an 18-storey hotel under construction down the Alupkinskoe highway... We had 2 balconies in the room... Seagulls regularly visited us - they begged for something edible... The rooms were cleaned well only for the first 2-3 days of our vacation, and after that we had to be reminded of what we needed throw out the trash, change the linen. . . One maid worked well, and the other was very sleepy, and it was impossible to get something out of her. . . The bathroom seemed to be repaired, but somehow everything was not completed - a constantly breaking curtain between the their toilet sinks are bad faucets, an ancient shower head, a poorly functioning toilet flush button, a burnt out light bulb, etc. . .
The decoration of the rooms is very dull... We lived in a junior suite, but it's not a junior suite at all - cheap wardrobes without shelves, upholstered corners of nightstands, shabby doors, a stuck door lock.
At first, all this was somewhat annoying, but after a couple of days we realized that the good aspects of our holiday far outweighed the shortcomings of the service.
The swimming pool is an indisputable advantage of Marat. . . Different depth levels, a water slide, hydromassage, sunbeds - all this is popular with vacationers. . . My children and I were very pleased with the pool. . .
The cable car to the beach is very handy. . . When descending and ascending, beautiful views of the sea and coastal areas open up. . . Walking up is quite tiring, since the path has a strong slope. . . Walking down is not a problem. . . Since the cable car works according to the schedule, we sometimes went down on foot, and went up already by cable car... For those living in Marat, the cable car is free, and for the rest - 10 hryvnias - descent, 15 - ascent... When boarding a cabin, vacationers are assisted by Marat employees. . .

The beach in the park hotel is our own... We were on the VIP beach - you can always find a free sunbed, unlike relaxing on other parts of the beach... But in the morning (until 9.00) and in the evening (after 16.00) the beaches are free... The sea in the Gaspra region is the cleanest... We repeatedly observed wild dolphins - bottlenose dolphins that frolicked not far from the coast... Sometimes jellyfish appeared, but they disappeared rather quickly... heating the water). . . Children on the pier catch crabs, fish swim in the water at their feet. Sunbeds on the beach are free, there was always a place in the shade... We bought delicious boiled corn and raspberries with cream there... The entrance to the sea is rocky... There are areas of small pebbles, but there are healthy cobblestones... For people who this the moment worries, it makes sense to purchase special rubber "slippers" (sold in tents), in which the feet are comfortable on the stones, and it is easy to swim in the sea... My husband and I normally walk on pebbles, my daughter too, but my son turned out to be picky in this regard... We bought him such bathing slippers - he was satisfied and was no longer upset because of the rocky beach.
Not far from the beach there are a lot of shops selling all kinds of bathing accessories - flip flops, bags, hats, towels, bedding, air mattresses, circles, etc. there is a mini-market, wine shops (various Crimean producers), a market, cafes and restaurants... Shuttle buses run constantly to Yalta and Alupka, taxi drivers stand, exchangers work.
There is a tour desk on the territory of Marat. . . You can not plan excursions in advance, but go when the desire arises. . . It is better to go in the evening, when it is no longer hot. . .
The food in the dining room is disappointing... The Swedish line is very meager, the dishes are monotonous, often not tasty... We had breakfast in Marat, but we stopped having lunch and dinner in the dining room... Not far from Marat there is a restaurant "At the mother-in-law" (it can be seen from cable car), where the food is very tasty, and the portions are always so impressive that sometimes we just rolled out from there satisfied with koloboks... The service is attentive, courteous... We are especially grateful to the waitress Natalia... A definite plus of the restaurant is the presence of free children's animation after 19.00, a creative workshop for children (for a fee), excellent playgrounds (for toddlers and older children), pigeons and rabbits on the territory, pleasant music and inexpensive price tags...

The animation in Marat is wonderful. . . The girls are good at entertaining the leisure of adults and children. . . The program includes aqua aerobics, stretching, darts, water polo, volleyball, pioneer ball, kids games on the playground, theme parties. . . show. . . We got to the Aqua party, where dance and vocal groups performed, as well as a group of synchronized swimmers in the pool. . . At the end there were fireworks. . . The only negative is the weak menu in the Sirena restaurant for the duration of the holiday... We also found dance evenings in the style of Hipsters and ganksters, as well as a children's disco... All shows and discos finish their work at 22.00, so everything is calm at night - we sleep and enjoy the sound of the sea from open balconies... For those who wish to continue festivities - night cafes in the village - outside the territory of Marat... The park hotel has (for a fee) table tennis, air hockey, a shooting range, darts with balloons, a trampoline... We didn’t get bored for a day - thanks to the animators and Alupka for this nsky excursion bureau... I highly recommend a trip to Simeiz (old dachas, Mount Koshka, observatory), Foros (church, Baidar Pass, Baidar Valley, Laspi Bay) - this is one of the nearby excursions (I’m not talking about the Swallow’s Nest and boat trips)... Children should definitely show the Yalta Zoo (where pelicans and peacocks walk along the paths, and animals can be fed specially for this purpose with food sold), the Glade of Fairy Tales (it's very close to the zoo and everything is a 15-minute drive from Marat) . . I advise both children and adults to go to the performance of the theater of marine animals Aquatoria... The performance is very interesting, emotional... Well, do not forget to ride horses in the reserve on Mount Ai-Petri (get there by cable car in Miskhor) - it's unforgettable...
We did not make long excursions (due to the fact that my daughter is only 4 years old, but on our next trips we will definitely visit the caves of Crimea, Sevastopol, Balaklava, Bakhchisaray, Ghost Valley, waterfalls, palaces, etc. ).
And, to summarize, I will say that we will come here again... There are disadvantages in Marat, but there is hope that over time the situation with food, comfort in rooms and service will improve... The place is very beautiful, framed by mountains and the sea, drowning in greenery, inhabited by hospitable people. . . And the service, about the shortcomings of which I wrote, is not able to spoil our family vacation, so we returned rested, tanned, with a large luggage of souvenirs and impressions.
