The day before yesterday we returned from Marat, we didn’t want to leave! We rested three of us (two adults and a child) from June 28 to July 10. Except for a few days of rainy weather, the holiday was a success. Clear sea, amazing air, gorgeous view from the balcony - all this was a real pleasure. In addition, I was very pleased with the pool and the cable car to the beach!
During our stay we lived in two rooms. Most of the days in the, so to speak, "main" room, which was booked and paid in advance, and a few more days - additionally, in another, when the check-in was extended, because we did not want to leave.
The first, "main" room we had in the 5th building, on the 7th floor overlooking the sea. The room is simple: two beds, a folding bed (at first they gave a broken one, they changed it to a normal one at the request), a small locker, a bedside table, a table, two chairs. Quiet refrigerator, split-system (neighbor air conditioners in this room was also not audible), TV. The bathroom is clean, but with a small mirror (there was no mirror in the room at all), a too tiny shelf and the absence of at least some kind of towel rack. There was also a lack of sockets in the bathroom - there was nowhere to turn on the hair dryer (the hair dryer was your own). That is, the outlet was provided, but not installed. In general, in the bathroom there is some kind of "incompleteness" - the same removed socket, the absence of platbands... It seems that the room, and maybe the entire floor as a whole, is being prepared for renovation.

The room was cleaned, soap and toilet paper were added, in 10 days the bed was changed once and towels were changed twice. By the way, bedding and towels are snow-white.
We were also glad that we had booked exactly the 5th building, because the sixth building is still being renovated (we were just finishing plastering the balconies on the 9th floor, and the construction of the hall is in full swing with all the relevant sights and sounds).
When we wanted to extend the check-in, we couldn’t stay in our room: it turned out that it was already booked by the next vacationers. The accommodation service offered to move to a similar room, also with a sea view, but on the 6th floor in the same building. We agreed, because, firstly, we did not want to leave, and secondly, it was even interesting to compare where it would be better (suddenly we decide to come to Marat again). We looked at several rooms on the 6th floor, they all turned out to be about the same. We moved quickly and without problems, just moved things, and then handed over the key.
The second room turned out to be more comfortable in terms of the quality of repair and equipment. The furniture is the same, but there was already a mirror in the bathroom, and a socket next to it, and a shelf, and hooks, and a towel dryer. I didn’t like that somewhere near the neighbors the air conditioner hummed quite loudly for days on end, and the noise was not even from the nearest rooms, but came from somewhere.

The food was quite decent. We took breakfast and dinner. For breakfast they gave sausages, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, casseroles, cottage cheese, milk porridge, pancakes, pancakes (pancakes, however, if you're lucky, because for some reason they were in a terrible shortage: they took out a little, and swept them in one second). For dinner - chicken in various forms, meatballs, there was also pork, liver, fish... Side dishes, various snacks and salads, kefir, yogurt, white and red wine... Everything is of high quality and tasty. From fruits - only oranges, grapefruits and bananas. Coffee was provided only at breakfast. There was also excitement around him. Then they put a coffee machine, but then the queue became even longer, because it works slowly. In general, there were a lot of people at breakfast in the dining room, but the waiters tried to clean up the empty tables quickly. Dinner was much freer.
As for the animation. . . There were daily activities for children, but everything is designed for kids. My 11 year old son had nothing to do there. During the day there was darts, so I played it with pleasure, if we were not at the beach at that time. For adults during the day there were sports entertainment, in the evening the theme parties were held in the restaurant - all with competitions and involving the active participation of those present. There were no free evening performances. On Saturdays there was an aqua party by the pool with guest artists and fireworks; visiting it - for an additional fee.
The beach is clean, equipped with awnings, but it turned out to be unrealistic to take a place in the shade in the morning. In principle, this was not a problem for us, because. in the morning there was a slide in the pool, and the child wanted to ride it, so we often came to the beach later, when the places under the canopy were already starting to free up. In general, the impression was that there were more vacationers from "Ai-Todor" on the beach than the Marat residents themselves.
Separately, I would like to say about bracelets with electronic chips (such as the keys to the entrance with an intercom: there are turnstiles everywhere - on the beaches, the cable car, the pool, the dining room, etc. - and they open only when you bring the bracelet). The idea is good, but somehow they work unstably. We went to the hosting service several times for a "reset". It never worked for a child on a cable car, it was too lazy to go "reload" once again. It's good that the guards everywhere are loyal to these glitches and do not require showing cards: there is a bracelet of the right color - okay, come in. In general, all the staff - both the maids, and at the reception, and the attendant in the parking lot (special thanks to her for her kindness and a place in the shade! ) - are friendly and helpful.

In general, the impressions from the rest were the most positive. The sea and nature are amazing. They tried to ignore the shortcomings. Have a good holiday everyone!
